- I went into using BimmerCode on the G87 M2 completely blind because the M2 isn't an officially supported vehicle on the app YET. I was able to use the app to code in or 'unlock' the exact features that I wanted. Keep in mind that there are way more things you can do within the app so definitely take your time to go through all the options and change the ones that best suit you, if you chose to do so. It's worth noting that since this car isn't officially supported yet on the app, use the app at your own risk. I will keep people updated if anything changes!

Next got to code the video in motion! I tried it under the 2 series tab and it didn't work. Happy to see the ambient lighting is possible, im shocked they didn't have red as standard. Great videos ! Love the red g87 I have an Alpine white myself not my first choice but it was manual with carbon buckets so i couldn't say no 🤙🏽

Yea you still have all of the factory colors in place. I just replaced the factory one called “coral”

Congrats! You plug it into the obd port under the steering wheel

Have you tried to code off ASD (active sound design) to see if there's any engine enhancement thorugh speakers?
I haven’t yet. I was waiting for bimmer code to fully support the g87

I tried to turn off the stop start function on my 2024 330I 3 series using Bimmer code and i get an error message and my car wouldn't start after coding. I had to use the revert to previous function which thankfully removed the code back to original. Be careful with that code function on current BMW models
I learned something new! I hate how far the right mirror points down in reverse. Its way too far! How y’all are you? Trying to figure out which value will work for me. I’m 6’2”
Do you know if there’s a code to kill the rear running lights? I just think it’s odd that I can’t just keep the ring up front on by themselves lol.
I’m also looking to code out the audio sound design. Haven’t been able to find anyone successful with that yet.

I’m 6’2 also. I would recommend like 20-30% tilt. Or just completely turning it off.
As for the rear running lights I didn’t see any but I’ll check again.
There was an option to code out the ASD I just personally don’t mind it.
@@tuxon_speed regarding asd, I want to put my sub in so I don’t want to hear it through that. I will play with the b&w switch and see how it goes. I pretty sure I’ll upgrade the speakers pretty soon.
Did you code your DRL color or is it naturally yellow also do it come with different colors preloaded for the ambient lighting or do you have to use the app to pick a color?
I changed the DRL’s myself by replacing the actual chip on the light. For the ambient lighting it comes preloaded with some colors already, just not the red I wanted

Not sure. I will have to check for that one.
Did you have any issues with BMW warranty because of changes you made via bimmerlink? Have they made any problems during service checks? I heard BMW likes to void warranty because of these kind of things.
Im not sure about that. I’ve unlocked my ECU which I know voids my warranty
Can you try video playback via usb? Will it allow you to play videos from your phone such as CZcams, recorded video, etc??

Yeah if you code in the bowers and Wilkins sound profile it definitely helps a ton

Probs a stupid question. By doing any of this does it void any warranty?
Not a stupid question, Mark! But to my knowledge it doesn’t void the warranty because you’re not actually changing anything physical on the car
@@tuxon_speed the only instance I can imagine it voids warranty is if something breaks that also happened to have a change made in the settings (such as if the motor for the mirror tilt breaks after adjusting the settings). If they log in and see the setting was changed then MAYBE they could say they’re not honoring the warranty. Even then, it’s highly unlikely that would happen.

Deactivate the ASD to remove the piped in sound.
