Imagine if the gods destory Remnant, but when Salem opens her eyes, she is still living, but utterly alone again
I’ve had this theory for a long time, but I also think that Summer was the one who asked Jinn the first question. Her disappearance, the spring maiden fleeing and Leo falling out of contact with Oz were all at approximately the same time.
Something happened to make Salem start making the moves she is making now and this makes sense with what we know.
This got me thinking something kind of crazy. When he refers to the “allies” who went with Summer, do y’all think Summer somehow managed to convince Raven to go with her to face Salem (not asking Qrow and Ty for whatever reason), and that is why is the way that she is now?
They did said v9 was going to be a bit different so maybe the whole thing is gonna be a Summer flashback explaining all the stuff that happened before the start of the show
i think the most unbelievable part of this theory is that you think the writers are good enough to plan out something like this
Interesting theory. Another similar but different theory I have is that salem was trying to eliminate all silver eyed warriors before attacking for the relics. She thought summer was the last one and after she captured her she put her plan into motion. But then ruby showed up and salem was like oh it seems like i missed a spot, oh well we started anyway. Because remember cinders reaction to rubys silver eyes on top of beacon. She wasnt suprised for what is happening, rather she was suprised that there was an unexpected silver eyed warrior.

Salem has been at war with Ozma for millennia and she has been a prisoner her whole life in her point of view. It’s possible that she can be sealed via silver eyes petrified for all eternity.

This theory along with the lyrics below from “Red Like Roses Part 2” almost make it seem as if Summer told Salem all the information she needed in order to protect Ruby and the rest of her family. In reality though, she was sending them to war. This could definitely be why Salem acted when she did because she had more information on the silver eyes from Summer (and maybe some inside information on Ozpin’s scouts), a weapon that could help her win the war.
Great theory. This could have went in a lot of ways however. Consider this: Since Summer is too pure and caring, what if she willingly went to help Salem to die without having to destroy the whole world? what if she sacrificed herself in order to save her loved ones?
If Summer willingly went with Salem to save everyone I wonder how she is processing everything happening in the outside world, if she is still aware of it.

I'll just say what I said on reddit. Theres a general rule regarding mysteries. The longer the wait, the bigger the payoff/reveal should be. Because why else would you wait this long for a reveal if it wasn't significant story shifting information?
I had a Similar thought, only it involved Summer accidentally making contact with the Grimm pools. Thus she became a Grimm-human hybrid, not a hound though, and that’s where Salem got the idea of capturing Silver-Eyed warriors.
Everything you’ve said I have been thinking about for a long time. Why didn’t they recognize that Salem looked different in the lost fable from what she looks like now. Silver eyes could probably immobilize her for a very long time or even forever. She really messed up by attempting suicide in that grim lake. But it also seems that the silver eyes damage her, so she very well could die. And when Oz asked Jinn how do I destroy Salem she said he couldn’t. Ya catch that? He couldn’t. But someone else could. Nora even asked herself this question in volume 7. It’s been seriously building up to this for awhile now. I can’t be the only one who thought this. Some animation, lines of dialogue, time passed in the story or information on others characters back stories, and when they take place. It was all subtle foreshadowing the whole show to what’s going to happen in the end. It’s pretty well constructed, but it is really showing where the story is going as the story goes on. It’s like almost finishing a puzzle. Thank you for making this video.
This makes sense, I think it’s more likely that Summer is alive then dead at this point, whether she’s already a Grimm or just captured is another point entirely, either way I have a feeling we’re gonna find out what happened by the end of this volume, I can’t see them postponing this for much longer.
