How to Maintain Turbo Charger For Long Life | Servicing Turbo Oil Feed | Ford TDCi | Daily Hands

  • Turbo charger is one of the most important component in modern vehicles. It enables peak performance and improve engine refinement. So its very important to maintain turbo. Turbo break down is an expensive job. The main reason of turbo break down is oil blocks in turbo feed line. As engine ages, thickened oil and dirt accumulate inside oil lines of turbo thus restricting oil flow. This overheats the journal bearing and finally turbo fails.
So cleaning oil feed line to turbo will make the oil flow steady and thus give turbo a long life.

Turbo leaking? Boost leak or oil leak?. If its a boost leak, its simply repairable. And oil leak, if you mean oil stains inthe turbo pipe... tats normal. One thing you can do is loose the turbo inlet pipe. now with the intex finger try to wiggle the shaft up and down. A small play within 2 mm is perfect. So check the shaft play first.

Oil treatment or injector cleaners use karne pe itna change to nei hoga. Injector cleanrs i think will burn away carbon weld ups a bit but not sure ki how much it cleans. oil treatment use karne pe engine to kuch smooth hoga but can eat up the rubber seals. • @dailyhandsdiy

Yes bro. Its a problem in ford engine. Ford has a solid state oil seperator which is less efficient in seperating oil from vapour. So the oil vapour from crank case is directly inhaled to engine cylinder without filtering. Thats y consumes oil more than other brands. Its normal for ford to consume 50 to 100 ml of oil after each 1000 kms. Tats why at 10000 km almost 1 Ltr oil will be consumed. And the oil levl in dipstick will be less than the min levl.
