Chris Trapasso has been studying these wide receivers for months and now he comes on the show to help us get ready for the NFL Draft. We start with initial thoughts and comparisons to other classes (0:40) and a word of warning about WRs drafted in the second round. We've also got quick news items (9:00) and who the Chiefs could take in Round 1 ... What's the best way to evaluate WR prospects (11:45)? Which WRs in this class are the best at getting open? And let's talk about the Big Three (18:00) of Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze. Chris has Nabers the highest. Then we'll talk about the polarizing Brian Thomas Jr. (22:50). Is he a true stud or too much of a project? Can he do anything other than go deep? And which WRs outside the Big Three can step in and be contributors as rookies (32:34)? ... Is this draft class overrated (34:40)? After we tackle that question we talk about Xavier Worthy and Troy Franklin (36:01), the bigger WRs (42:02) Xavier Legette, Adonai Mitchell and Keon Coleman, the slot WRs (49:12) Ricky Pearsall, Roman Wilson and Ladd McConkey and some more names to know (57:02) ... One thing to note on Keon Coleman: he was top 4 in speed for every route at the combine. I’m convinced he doesn’t know how to run a 40.
Timing them on routes, RBs on reaction times (and reacting correctly, same for receivers on option routes), and QBs on processing times would be the most useful stats from combine or Pro Day.
Xavier lagette is someone to keep an eye on for sure in my opinion.
Love lagette I hope he works out just for all the crap he's been through
Nabers struggled with press coverage on the outside...he's a good outside wr...but a phenomenal slot wr.
Hi team, could we go back to the old thumbnails, they are beginning to look like every startup channel. we lost our brand recognition
The fun sucker is here! Quit sucking the fun outta harmless things!
Ladd Mcconkey the best in the class (after MHJ) at getting open quick, somethin a lot of teams need with their horrific offensive lines
Is it just me or does Jamey always seem like he’s sick of Adam.
C'mon chris... these are vertical x receivers. Yards after the catch is practically irrelevant.
Worthy does play tough for his size, but the NFL is not the Big 12
Corley a Deebo clone
Adam, all that you have to do is look at what word the one you want to pronounce is a derivative of. Duh!
Worthy will be a bust
Adonai Mitchell is better than Brian Thomas
Brian produced better numbers than AD with better talent to share the offense with and posted a just as good if not better combine 😂
@@MingmingnationAnd as we know, college and combine numbers are a hundred percent indicative of NFL success 🙄.
@@ferratorr1033 I’m just curious to know what AD Mitchell has shown that makes you think he’s better than Brian Thomas. In my opinion, they have similar profiles as they both are taller receivers who broke out in their last year of college with 1st round talent at the same position and posted comparable combines. With all other things being a wash, I believe Nabers is better than Xavier Worthy and it’s more impressive for Brian Thomas to be as productive as he was than it is Adonai. I like both dudes but imo Brian Thomas is the better prospect. Does that mean that he’ll have the better NFL Career? Absolutely not, but I don’t remember saying that or anything about their college numbers being indicative of NFL success.
@@Mingmingnation Thomas runs three routes. Watch the tape. AD is constantly open on intermediate in breaking and out breaking routes. He's a true X that can win against press man but can also do more than run straight or run a comeback. He has ELITE BODY CONTROL and his hands are exceptional. Thomas is just okay. I also think that Thomas is a little stiff. He doesn't have the same fluidity in and out of his breaks that Mitchell has. Brian Thomas is a less freaky version of DK Metcalf.
In regard to adam's question. I just straight disagree with Thomas. The film does not show that he can do anything else except win deep and win on comebacks. Its possible he could develop. Hes only played ball for a few years. But its not part of his game right now.
