Hi Jerika! Just a little note about 8:20, you got them switched! Serif fonts have the embellishments, and sans serif (sans = "without", so "without serif") have the clean and simple strokes 😊
I like to remember it as Sans Serif, "No Feet" and Serif, "Feet". Haha just a little trick for my brain to know the difference.

Just want to thank you, Jerika! I'm in the middle of re-branding and have been so undecided on brand colours. After watching your video I signed up for Canva pro (had just been using the free version before that) and within an hour I had my brand colours sorted, and a new FB cover done! You explained this so well. I have Canva Pro, which has been a game changer, but have been a little confused trying to use the Brand kit. A tip for some people when it comes to fonts, if you want to be all inclusive and include people with visual impairements or reading disabilities, accessibility tools will not read cursive. To include all, use simple printed script, nothing to fancy and accessibility readers will pick it up.

Great video Jerika! I got Canva Pro a couple of years ago, & totally agree, it's so worth it!! One question I have is... do you create all your soap and bath product labels on Canva? or somewhere else?

I’m a quiet follower but I wanted to step in today to tell you that the fonts you are using for your business and that you are describing 8:20 are not serif fonts, they are actually the opposite: sans-serif fonts 😊 I’m a webdesigner and I thought I’d let you know for your personal knowledge and for the future! Just to clarify, “serif” fonts have serifs, or those little lines on the top of Times New Roman and lots of other fonts. “Sans serif” are the simpler, less embellished fonts. Not intended as a put-down; I just thought you’d like to know!

I love your videos and this one was so helpful! But just FYI, you have your "serif" and "sans serif" mixed up. Those little embellishments are serifs, so sans serifs means "without" them. :)
When you create your product labels, do you print these yourself or do you order them from canva? I currently print my own, and can't see how I can print these on cardstock for a cigar band label, seems like it's just for sticker labels. More videos like this would be fantastic!
Wow! Thank you so much for this video. I struggle with branding. I paid someone $500 for a logo. And not sure how to use it. I should have got black lettering but got green. I don’t think there is a way to change it.
You can probably change it in photoshop or other image editing software. Most come with a black/white feature that removes color.
When I use canva and download it, the measurements change and I can’t match the way it looked on Canva. How do I fix that?

The baggie I was putting leftover bath bomb mix into was expanding. Puffing up, as in, it will explode. This was due to the "damp" bath bomb mixture being sealed, and the gasses being released by the reaction between the citric acid and sodium bicarbonate. So, I opened the baggie, let the stuff dry for a couple of days, and resealed the baggie with all the air squeezed out. Fine. We went about a week, without any expansion of the baggie. Last night, I was fiddling, and just crushing up some of the larger chunks, by squeezing them between my fingers (never opened the baggie). Today, the baggie has puffed up, again... about halfway.
I do NOT want my Bath Bomb Dust baggies exploding in someone's face. (Which is why we NEVER put fizzing bath salts in a glass container!!) I don't add water to my bath bombs. I add 91% alcohol... but, even that... the other 9% is water. Do you think crushing the larger chunks exposed some internal water that caused the stuff to start reacting again?

I’ve been watching a ton of your videos and I just recently got my business certified through my state and I have my first show called The Tulsa Womens Expo i have a table at! I’m so excited but very nervous about set up and really all of it. Any advice?
Ooh this is very exciting! I would say bring as much product as you can and speak to as many people as you can! That includes fellow vendors too! Take the whole experience as a learning one and know that the next one will be better as you gain more experience.

I’ve been working on recipes and different concoctions for about 6 months and there were nights I was up at 2 in the morning trying to figure out where a batch went wrong. But I’ve pieced together bit by bit through trial and error and a ton of research on ingredients my own recipe. And it finally does everything I wanted it to do. My husband is an attorney and so he thought it was best for me to put together my own bath bomb recipe rather than use another ones. I’m glad he did though. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and doing this show is going to be huge push as well.
