I grew up with several just like that. My Dad had several in his company. I remember going with him when he would buy them new. I learned to drive on his D500 dump truck. all the same color too!!

Aw man, you totally lucked out! Awesome find! My Dad had one that my mom bought him in 1969 and he finally sold it about 1980 or so! It was a Navy surplus truck that she bought at auction. That truck was clunky and the 3 on the tree manual shift was very difficult and the linkage would jam up quite often… but it had a slant 6 in it and we couldn’t kill the damn thing lol! It was a tank! I wish I could find one, been looking for years as my Dad luckily is still with us and is almost 87 now! Have fun brother and I’m so jealous! My father would flip if I could get my hands on one for him!

Had a 65 in high school with same shifter and a 383 engine. It was the same color combination. You have a cool truck there

That color was called "Desert Turquoise". My dad had several of them all in that color combo. I have a 1969 3/4 ton and a 1970 1/2 ton that is "Pine Green".

Great find ! I Love 64s. I am converting my super solid 70 over to look like a 64. I just started collecting that side trim. Love it

Awesome find, I just bought a 64 D200 and it has the chrome bumper and chrome grille but no other chrome, it doesn't even have any other chrome, there's not even holes where the chrome would attach badging other than the dodge emblem on the hood. I know it was originally owned by the U.S. Park Rangers everything appears to be original to the truck so curious why it would have the light duty bumpers and chrome grille and hood badges but nothing else.

Pretty sure your truck is a 65, not a 64.
65 was the first year for the lever style dash shifter.
Custom option was a real common appearance package for these trucks.
Only major options in your truck but as I mentioned all common options are:
    318
    727
    16" wheels
    Large back window.
    Pretty common D100.
Only way to verify the year is by the serial number.

Unfortunately, we already did. The previous owner really wanted it

    That’s either not a 64 or has a 68 shifter in it.Dash shifter wasn’t available until 1968

No, they came with different options and that was one of them.

    Awesome find. Thanks for sharing.
I've been wanting to put a pair of early 'custom' badges on my CSS Utiline just cuz but I know there are folks who frown on that (and I haven't yet found someone who can measure the location of the badges, and the radio as well since my truck did not come wiht a radio). I have a video of my truck here if interested. czcams.com/video/os-7KqA2goM/video.html
