@@Chrisloft Well now that I’m approaching two years I might as well say my high hat was shit. I broke it like 2 months ago and I’m still waiting for the shipment (from Roland) to arrive.
Other than that I’ve actually really liked my kit (the TD07) mainly just due to the expenses on it, or just the fact it makes it easier for studio drums at the moment. I’m recording a lot of my own stuff too now which the kit is also very useful for with recording straight to my computer and whatnot. It definitely was a good choice…. Besides the high hat

@@ChrisloftUpdate; Kit still holds up well. Other than the high hat problem I had awhile back it still holds up incredibly well. I think he initially recommended it for convenience, and the fact it has Bluetooth and what not. I’ve since joined 3 traveling orchestras to drum for them, and Bluetooth has made it incredibly easy to practice when I can just connect my click tracks and play.

Eventually I saw one guy on CZcams saying how he cuts slits in his and it works. Just be careful not to go too deep. I made 3 slits about 2mm deep. What about sounds that are available for purchase? How can I save and/or use these sounds LIVE with my td 7? Do I need another "MIDI" device for this? Which? In reality the toms are too small. The version he’s playing has toms same size as the snare, and then the floor tom is the size of what the actual toms are. Hard to play them, because to top it all off, they have that white rims on the inside, which sometimes is hard not to hit when doing fast rolls. So they either replace on this one for the video, or there are different versions of the same 07kv. Roland cold have done better there.

You probably mean the cross stick articulation :) the rim shot is assigned to the rim by default, you have to activate/deactivate the cross stick articulation in the module menu. Kind regards!

Hey John, although the TD-15 is an older generation module, it will be much more flexible & advanced in features than the TD-07 entry level module. You can also get the drum-tec Real Acoustics Sound Edition for the TD-15 module:

@@drumtecTVis it me or the td07 doesn't have the td01 dmk function that would allow you to trigger the ride bell sound by hitting it harder? I know neither are triple zone rides and have no actual bell zone, but here I just couldn't find the sound in the whole demo. Cheers!

And do these kits come with bass drum and bass drum pedal? I think bass pad comes with the kits but you have to buy the beater separately, I’m unsure though if that’s true or not, I had to ask.

    • @drumtecTV

Hi Ahmet, the bass drum pedals are not included in any electronic drum kit. I would also suggest checking out the Roland TD-07KV:

The sounds are better on the yamaha and the module overall is better but the great downside for me is the rubber pads. That is a deal breaker for me unfortunately.
You migh want to go the TD-17KV which the module I think it's better than the yamaha (maybe not in sounds, that's subjective, but in customization and settings it defenitely is).
Another option is the TD-07kvx which has a 3 zone ride and a hi-hat with stand
