Is the building still up?

yes it is. they were only demolishing the car park around it. but you can't get into it anymore as it is guarded by dogs

Why they demolishing it ?

because it's been abandoned since 2005 due to the fact that it was built with poor ventilation which made the people who worked in the building seriously ill. it was also built in the late 70s when buildings were still built with asbestos. so they can't convert it into to flats or but it back to use as it would cost to much and take to much time. the building is also used by local gangs and squatters so instead they are demolishing it to build a new, modern and cleaner set of apartments.
