Dutch and I wrestled in the main event of WrestleMania 40 brother, we had Simon Cowell as the guest referee brother, all the hulkamaniacs were there brother, and whatcha gonna do? Lol
I've watched every episode of this podcast and i love it, and I'm starting to get the impression james wrote some books about Owen and the Rock.
LOL
Yes i enjoy this podcast dutch is great
He has in fact wrote two books! Dutch still owes my my university of dutch diploma's
Only a graduate from the university of Dutch would come to that conclusion
Good luck getting it
"You know brother, when I slammed that nasty giant Andre he weighed over 1200 lbs. I had a broken femur and tore over 127 muscles in my back. Andre died the next day and I went on tour with Metallica."
--Hulk Hogan
George Gulas for the HOF!
"Daddy says induct!"
Ty I needed this. Laughed my ass off and sounds just like the Hogan bs he spews these days. I think he thinks since no social media then his facts can't be checked or something
I laughed way to much at that comment 😂
Daddy say sell, sell!!
I am with Dutch on Steven Regal as one of the all time greats! Not only in the ring but he also killed it on the mic.
"...he also killed it on the mic."
Yes, but he is no Jumping Jeff Farmer.
George Gulas for the HOF!
"Daddy says induct!"
You guys have great chemistry. James is a very good interviewer.
You should put out a t-shirt that says “You like that word?” Dutch says that every episode. I haven’t even started the video yet and I know he’ll say it.
And another one that says "Now, I could be wrong but..."
We love the Dutch! 🤣
"I guess... I guess."
Great show, James and Dutch! Y'all "work" well together like no other pair in wrestling podcasts today. I'd say keep it up, but "real men stay up", so stay up!
Arn Anderson, one of my all time favorite heels. The older I get the more I can appreciate just how good he was. Very subtle, absolutely no wasted motion. Great interview as well.
I'm the same with Arn, The Outsiders, and Randy Orton never liked them growing up as an adult I go, "yep the all were great and brought something any company would be the better fir having "
Dutch Mantell, bad mfkr baby.
Dutch has the best laugh 😂 Love you guys!
Curt Henig was best wrestler to never win world Titles I don’t count AWA
I just listened to Hulkster in Heaven. That's the funniest drivel I've ever heard in my life.
I had to listen too, but couldn’t listen more than 90 seconds. Garbage.
Dutch not thinking Roddy would make a great world champion because he was a punching/kicking brawler is strange...... Stone Cold Steve Austin anyone?🤔
And because hogan was like a bret hart 🥴
After hearing Hulkster in Heaven, James Hatfield begged Hulk to join Metallica as their bassist.
Does anybody know where the Hulkster was the night Metallica's bus crashed and killed Cliff Burton? I'm not saying Hulk set it up, but i'm not saying that he didn't set it up, either.
@Fausto_4841 bus didn't crash, it sold hogan's boot to the face
I think Hogan has brain issues, he cant believe what he says?
I paused it to listen to Hulkster in heaven. Well, 1 min 17 of it. I should sue the pair of you for emotional distress 😂
Rotunda would have become a superb agent. He could have told a lot of green wrestlers about characters and promos as well as just the physical stuff.
You two are the best, I love this show!
This Hogan thing was so funny, Bret and bulldog main evented lmao!
The camera moving is my new favorite part of the episodes. 😂
Rick Rude was WCW champion somewhere between 92-94. I have to wonder if Hall and Jake wouldn't have cleaned up their act some if given the responsibility of being the champion. Mr. Wonderful, and Arn Anderson are perfect choices. It's hard to beat Ted DiBiase on this one. I agree Goldust was awesome and should have been champ. I disagree on Owen and I think he could have been better than Bret.
What is Jungle Boy weight? Like 150 pounds? Tony Kahn is lucky he has unlimited funds and resources from his father because that company would have died a while ago. Tony Kahn needs to hire people who have spines that can work in his backstage positions and who will not take drama like Kahn easily does. Kahn is an owner. And that is all he should be. Playing action figures with real people. How long is that going to last?
Jungle Boy is the real life Scrappy Doo. I hope he's been punished in some way - if he hadn't thrown a challenge at Punk on camera, a lot of this probably wouldn't have happened.
My life is truly blessed for hearing Hulkster in Heaven. EPIC!
Great show. Would like more stories of Dutch's tome in Ga. Any stories about Bob Armstrong?
My curiosity demanded that I look up the song "Hulkster in Heaven." Curse you, James!
Dutch & James have some good names on that list. Guys like Paul Orndorff, Rick Rude & Steven Regal would have made good heavyweight champions. I'd add Don Muraco & Barry Windham to that list as well.
Bray was getting a whole faction like the wyatt family again brother. It was gonna be huge but alas we will never get to see it :(. Love the show guys
This was my first episode and my god I was entertained keep it up fellas
Could listen to dutch all day long if i had the time
58:00 Dutch can't believe the song "Hulkster In Heaven" exists 😂
Hey Dutch piper vs Bret was a classic at wrestlemainia 8
Great show as always
I still want that second part of the Savio Vega story
James is working on it. Be patient.
Give savio a minute, there's a couple of IWA shows coming up this weekend and they kind of fucked up the angle they were doing down here.
Savio had some good stories!
Hogan never let facts get in the way of telling a good story.
I guess he's compulsive and can't help him self because man does he think most ppl believe his outlandish stories.
Dutch mentioned the camera backstage. In TNA had cameras backstage to either add to a gimmick or to bump up the drama in the ring.
Good topic. I expect to see Tito Santana, Ricky Steamboat, Ted Dibiase, Rick Rude, Mr Perfect, maybe even Paul Orndorff.
all good choices ...what people forget is Mr . Perfect held the AWA World title when it was still recognized as one of the big 3 👍
perf was champ not on teh list
debiase was the southernheavyweight champ too which may count @@johngallagher72
@@johngallagher72 Damn. I totally forgot all about that. I know Tito got a world title from one promotion or another, but I dont think it was a major promotion at the time. It was after his longest WWF run.
@@mikeborsum8881 He was ECW World Champion when is was still called Eastern Championship Wrestling. Before that he was AWF world champion.
Windham was a close friend of mine! I'm still completely in shock over his passing, this wasn't supposed to happen like this. I remember training with Windham and Bryan at HBKs wrestling academy, we had so much fun, we became extremely close during that time, I'm so proud he and Bryan made it to WWE! I got injured and had to move on to producing and booking. But we stayed close through it all, I still don't want to say it but, goodbye my friend.
@@alexcris-kh8yk What a shitty response. Prove you're not a fucking wad.
@@alexcris-kh8yk wow really, I'm, just like everyone else close to him going through this shitty time, and some random ass clown wants me to prove actually knowing someone..... honestly I don't give a shit if you believe me or not, look up the class picture, I'm certainly there.
@@GryHen-pg9iypay it no mind. One look at that account and one realizes it's either a young kid, or an adult with zero intelligence/life/girlfriend/boyfriend/social skills. To be pitied actually.
I'm sorry for your loss. Bray actually got me back into wrestling. Since my dad passed, I'd left it. Just not the same as what he and I used to have fun with. Bray was a reminder of how fun it could be. Big ups to him. He will be missed but never forgotten.
@@Persephone715 very true! Thank you l. We in the wrestling universe is happy you've come back, it's a much better place with you here.
Bryan was training at the HBK academy in 1999. Bray would have been 12 at that time.
Are you trying to do a Hulkster gimmick where you spout BS that we all know is BS?
Rick Rude definitely deserved to be champion. He filled all the checkmarks
From what I have read John Nord is living in an assisted living facility suffering from MND since 2019
I saw somewhere that JYD said Lundy looks just like Ole, make him an Anderson. Supposedly in Midsouth locker room with Bill Watts. Love the show!
Good show, however the Arn Sid story was told totally opposite by Arn, on his podcast that was also on CZcams. He says he stabbed Sid with the sisscors through the hotel room door.
That's what Sid said too
Man, I love the guitar intro
Number 1 on the list is Big John Studd
Still working my way through this ... if the Big Boss Man doesn't get a single vote, that's a travesty. Yes, he was UWF Champ but that's not more valid than TNA or ROH really and hardly anyone nowadays would know he was. The guy was SUPER over in 1988-91, one of WWE's biggest stars - no way guys like Haku or Warlord should be getting votes but not Boss Man.
Ric Flair initially got Arn in, and it was Ole who saw the Anderson in him. Arn was a nephew in the beginning.
Dutch & James are a winner Team!
Hulk Hogan: Elvis' favorite wrestler, ever.
I got both of Dutches' book, great reads.
Respect, I agree with your list.
Gary Hart book can be listened to on CZcams. It's a good listen. 🤣
Great show
hey guys, love the podcast,SImon Cowell did work for WWE in 1993 but supposedly did not work with HH,so ,......the mystery remains!
I think the world of you uncle Dutch but, BUT I am not listening to Hulkster in F#@king heaven 😂😂
AWA was Heavy Weight Champion not World Champion. Curt Hennig gets my vote
I thought Roddy Piper held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship for a short time when he was working with Hogan.
He did, but nobody was watching.
Paul Orndorff, Ted DiBiase & Jake Roberts, lead by Nick Bokwinkle, would have been an absolute great heel faction in World Class Championship Wrestling and the American Wrestling Federation.
On the list of greats that should have been a World Champion, Dr. Death Steve Williams should be on the list.
I like when Hulk pushed dog shite in his ears that was funny
It is very watchable great show
Thank you I thought I would be missing out today cause of the hurricane in Florida
I feel for you. I survived Francis through Faye.🙏
Jimmy Snuka was ECW champion if it counts to World Titles. Piper had a great wrestling match with Bret Hart that was an actually wrestling match. It's something alot of people forget.
Dutch, you need to turn your motion detection off on your camera bud, that will fix your camera issue.
What y'all didn't mention in the Hulk Hogan, Make-a-wish kid at ringside story, was that Hulk, for some odd reason, mentions that the kid smelled bad?? Which was way off
Nobody mentioned bullet bob armstrong? Wow...
WCW international title should count because "WCW International" was the name of their short-lived governing body at the time (a la IWGP.). International was not used as a category (a la Intercontinental.)
Arn was sticking up for flair thats why it happened. Dutch is going over stuff he has heard
I agree with dibiase he had it all. Wahoo would have been my number 1
The funniest part is supposedly wrote it at Wembley yet the alblum was released by WCW. Hmmmm guess Vince bought it earlier than we knew
Barry Windham should be on this list. He was a very good wrestler and would have been a great world champion.
What I wouldn't give to have a Gunther vs samoa joe match if Joe was still with wwe
Dream match for me. Gunther is my favorite in WWE and Joe has been my favorite all around for the past 15 years.
There's a great story out there of Michael Jackson wanting to play Michael Jordan in basketball and trying to order him to come see him outside of the basketball court and Jordan called him out.
Greg valentine 100 percent. His stuff totally belongs
Especially Valentine in his prime
Both Cornette and Dutch were not a fan of Bray's gimmicks, but he was the sole reason that I kinda got back into wrestling. I guess it was because I saw him as the next Undertaker, which made me think of the good ole days that will never return bc kayfabe. While everyone "knew" that the wrestlers were in storylines, etc....kayfabe worked bc you would of never seen a picture of two wrestlers in the middle of a feud hugging one another! John Cena and one of the Usos were in a video where Jey or Jimmy were excited Cena was back, which is understandable, but kinda makes the "story" hard to get behind. I feel that is why wrestling is no longer entertaining----the heels are cheered and no one really knows how to get major heat except Dominik and Roman.
1:38 - I thought micheal hayes showed up for a sec there
Bret vs Bulldog was main event at Wembley Stadium
For top 10 guys who have NEVER WON an NWA (travelling world title days), AWA, WCW, WWF/WWE, Universal, WWE WHC (the version of the 2000s that Evolution HHH dominated and the one Rollins holds today) or AEW World Title: (no particular order, US based companies mainly):
Piper
Brody
Snuka
Dibiase
Orndorff
Jake
Ernie Ladd
Arn
Rude (sorry I don't count the International WCW World Title)
Windham (same as Rude but that title was known as the NWA World Title before they changed the name.)
If the Rude and Windham reigns are considered World titles, then guys like Scott Hall, Ray Stevens, Billy Robinson, Muraco, Wahoo, Gordy, Mulligan, and Johnny Valentine would be worthy of those two spots. I think Samoa Joe among guys in his era is a great pick. Sorry I don't count the TNA or ROH Title as a world title. It TRULY should be Andre as the #1 pick hands down. But I guess that couple minute reign before selling the WWF title to Dibiase counts. WHICH MEANS does Dibiase buying the title count as well. They say he wrestled matches as the WWF World Champion.
,
One of the reasons Jake Roberts was never given the World title strap is because of his drug & alcohol problem. Vince couldn't trust Jake to be the face of the company.
Another Hogan lie from JRE
He said he wrested in Japan on cards with Pride MMA guys in the 1970’s
Pride wasn’t a thing until 1997.
Are there any videos of Dutch playing the guitar?
Roddy would have been a great heal champion
Tony has Paul Wight on the payroll. Use him as muscle like Blackjack, and Jody Hamilton was used.
James talking about the London subway system, wear a football kit on it and becomes more fun. Which areas you can and cant go (at least without a sock full of billiard balls in the back of the head)...
Slap the sh@# out them both! Seriously laughing out loud! Thnx for the laugh needed it!🤣
Are they counting Barry Windham's early 90's "NWA World Champion" run as an actual run? To me that wasn't a world championship anymore.
just listened to the first 30 seconds of "Hulkster in Heaven"...🤦♂️
Well, wasn’t Ken Shamrock, the inaugural TNA / NWA heavyweight champion
I thought of getting Gary Hart's book several yrs ago and the price at that time was $600.
Why in the world in a book $600? What was so special about it?
@@samwhite414 ...That was before he passed away, I can only imagine what it would cost now if you could find one
John Nord can't be too hard to find, he's done a TON of shoot interviews in the past couple of years, including with Dan Mirade of Boston MWF (RIP) and that moron Hannibal
Gary Glitter was released from Prison February 2023 but violated conditions of the release and went back to prison March 2023.
Vile p3dos like him should never be released. Innocent kids need to be protected from these monsters.
Gary released a autobiography went he got out of prison he called it Gary glitter up the shitter
I tell you ,I was in the funeral industry 20 years and I now regret and wish I had this song to play at services. It beats that Gill song like Secretariat tore it up at Belmont in 73. The Hulkster in Heaven song.
Vader stuck his finger in one of Sid's stab wounds, not Arn's. They stabbed each other multiple times but neither would press charges on the other.
Barry Windham, end of story.
I'll have you know! Dutch has rubbed James! Lol
I stopped counting all the world champions on the never world champ list once I counted 10 different champs🤦Guys, you need to do better than that
What would HHH OR Vince McMahon do if you had a fight back stage there .Jungle boy needs to be fired.
Kevin Sullivan?? Razor Ramon ??
Hulk Hogan has been living the kayfabe for so long that he's trying to one up his own life
hulk was on the theo von podcast
I must respectfully disagree with Mr mantel. There is a time in my life where I was nice to somebody and it cost me $25 I was not a happy camper.😂😊😅 True I was buying something that was green that I shouldn't have been buying and I was nice to him about it and it still cost me money. But on a side note it was the best damn greenery I have ever had😊😊😊
Oh boy... Hogan lying like a rug... Brian Last did a deep dive Omnibus about this rubbish. But yeah, I know that James has a good ear for hogwash. Ted being on the top Dutch's list... I would agree. The big part was he was a Heel in the WWE. Therefore Ted would have been a great foil to work against but not get over.
Nope no stretchers at SummerSlam 92
The Hulk sound is so bad!!! Lol but not bad enough to be good. But you really anyone that's reading this should look up Terry funk's album. Now that album is glorious! Terry sings Like An Angel! Lol
