My favorite NL Balatro-ism is playing two straights in ante 1 and saying “we are a straight build now”

I personally enjoy when he theory crafts build synergies and follows it up with his psycho arch laugh

"better" is arguable, you usually WANT banana to die to unlock Cavendish. If it stays alive too long then you get into awkward situations where you are getting better jokers than +15 mult but not as good as x3. Then it starts feeling a lot like dead weight if it keeps on surviving.

My pain when I first ever got a Cavendish and it lasted 2 rounds before destroying itself.

So 1.913e11 = 1.913*10^11

You can easily find the real number score by taking the exponent times 10 (11) and moving the decimal that many spaces right, then fill in with zeroes.
1.913e11 = 1.913*10^11 but also 1.913e11 = 191,300,000,000 (one hundred ninety-one billion, three hundred million). I'm currently making a mod for Balatro that shows you real-number scores and scores in word form.

literally the first small blind after selling cavendish, cavendish is already outperforming smiley and it only performs worse from then on. score with smiley = 59,839,555 score with cavendish instead = 132,187,930. i dont know if balatro coaching exists but i hope you can find it, best wishes to you both
@@adrianopairetti3417best case scenario we have 5*3=15 triggers from smiley face for 15*4=60 mult, let's say this gets added before any polychrome to give it an even BETTER chance. Now 5 polychrome cards with 3 triggers is 1.5^(3*5) is about x440, giving us a total of 26,400 mult
26,400/3 is 8800, meaning you only need 8800 mult in order for cavendish to beat out smiley face. Seeing as how NL was having hands with MILLIONS of mult, cavendish is obviously way better than smiley face

After the first polychrome jack getting retriggered the mult is already over 100 and smiley does absolutely nothing. Any x mult would have been better. You are iron IV in math, go back to school.

Petition for localthunk to make the "HI Tomo" joker, which gives plus 15 mult to your least played hand that isn't at zero. Because our cat always comes out of the blue.
The "Hi Tomo" joker should be a high mult but also have a 1 in 20 chance to jump into your deck forcing you to discard him before playing your next hand so you can yell "TOMO, GET OUT OF THE CARDS!"

Telescope does actually make sense. If you have multiple hands that are most played, it chooses the highest ranked one. So if you have 3 Full Houses and 3 Pairs, it will always give you Earth instead of Mercury.

The clearance vouchers seem bugged because it states that items in the shop are discounted and discounted even further so why would your sell value decrease when your items are out of shop. Like if you buy a joker on sale then yes it sell value should reflect that price
like in the real world, if someone is prepared to sell a joker for $2, you probably won't sell yours for $11 (type z)
