I want to believe that this will finally be something good for the series but given Bioware's record for the past decade it's highly unlikely.

They didn't ask if Qunari horns and hair are seperate or the same option as it was in Inquisition

@@adenmarsterson9447 Yeah, towards the end of the game. However for most of the game enemies are sponges.
At the end of trespassers, no matter what you did, they were to gain Intel and stop solas.... saying they aren't prominent in the story seems a little weird. Was the ending just thrown away?

Also should read the book Tevinter Nights. It takes place after Inquisition.
Solas also said he would give peace to Thedas for now, so looks like he gave everyone 10 years.
@sonnenblumefrau2048 Yes, but he did this for himself, not for the inquisitor. You could be a dipshit to him, and he did this.
This time was for him to figure out how to take the viel down and also the last time the inquisition was formed. Once there was peace for a time, they were forced to disband... he knew this would happen again and would greatly increase his odds.
@@tokamnich4709 TBF he wasn't just friends with the inquisitor. He was also friends with Varric, Cole, and showed care for several other companions. The inquisitor can be the main factor in his motives, but doesn't necessarily need to be there.
I also think that no matter what, even if the inquisitor I'd an asshole to Solas, it kinda still makes him realize that they are alive. He's totally anti-death in the way Thedas experiences it and he doesn't want people to die. Which is why he's tearing the veil down.
IDK about the rest of you, but I liked the change in the game's title from Dreadwolf to Veilguard. It seems more appropriate, given that people are more knowledgeable about tears in the veil after experiencing the issues that arose with Corypheus and his b.s.

They are taking the attention away from Solas, which is what the game was supposed to be about and placing it on the companions which makes no sense at all.

Dam Varricks getting more playtime than the OG’s. Is Morrigan, Alistair & Lelianna behind another DLC or paywall ? 😢. Also these “suicide squad” type teamups are getting played out. We already had like 20 characters between DA2 & INQUISITION

@@moonwatcher99that doesnt mean they wont lock them behing dlc or version bonuses. Keep in mind this is still an EA game and the crew working on veilguard havent earn the benefit of the doubt in regards to integrity and respwct for the players and the franchise
@@moonwatcher99they say no micro-transactions now… but it is EA, they might retract that later and will maybe use a loophole or a loose definition of “no micro-transactions”. The person who said that may be used as a scapegoat later too.

If the companions are really just pushed into the background like hitting enemys with almost no dmg except when you tell them to spellcast something I'm afraid it will sugg..
This helped me I think, I’m going for a qun mage on my first play through, and I can’t decide between shadow dragons or lords of Fortune, I’m leading towards dragons but thought an Oxmen working for the resistance would be hard to sell, but if they give me the option of being a freed slave or Qun spy I could work with that
Mages with access to only three active spells is really really not good. What mage only memorizes three spells at a time….

All very interesting. Causiously optimistic. Need to see more combat and see how many skills will we truly have available in combat (only 3 for us. I dont count the companion skills).

The specializations sound like the same classes from inquisition. I’m not complaining, just surprised nobody had any new ideas.
So is necromancy going to be anything like our usual necromancy? Like summoning dead, skellies, zombies etc?
Iirc there was a very underwhelming sipirit minion or sth for DAI's necromancy

Wheres the loot, diff weapons, and jesus i still just hate the enemy redesigns. The demons all look dumb. The pride demon and ogre especially not intimidating anymore.
Even down to the style of the swords Venatori were swinging. "Guys, i have a sword design idea. Lets make a double front curve sword - imagine a lightning bolt with rounded edges."

No, just people who really love these games and are just really hopeful. I love DA. I hate EA. This is probably the last EA game I'll buy. As long as a dragon age game exists, I'll pay for it.

everyone avoiding the preorder, I love the dragon age games and have been playing since the old 360 days. I'm getting this one day one as well. You all can wait for spoilers and whine about a game yet to release but I will be trying it and giving it a chance because I really enjoyed inquisition (aside from damage sponges since I started on Hard) and I can't wait to play this one. The only dragon age to disappoint me was dragon age 2 and honestly it barely sets up inquisition, you could really just ignore that one for the most part.
Sounds about ok. But probably nothing extraordinary for 2024 / 2025.

Why the game play looks way better than inquisition and the combo attacks actually makes your companions actually useful and the classes being part of the game play and lore is so much better than running the same intro plot over and over again. I don't see how you see this game play and look at the previous game play and say the previous was better
Still pissed that they didn't bring Blood Magic back. Their excuse is an absolute lame cop out. Their reasoning is trash. Especially since most of the factions we choose from would not have an issue with it. So the fact that our Rook is some weird outlier that suddenly has issue with Blood Magic is sooo lame.
