We have 1970 White field boss B 105 2WD . My dad bought it used in 1971 in Ontario Canada. And have been using it ever since. It has hauled logs from the woods on a power trailer. Mowed thousands of acres ... this year we had it pull a 4000 gal manure tank up a steep hill when the Allis snapped an axle. It's made more than 500 round bales this summer and that was just to pick up the slack on a brand new fendt. It was never treated gentle either. My dad was 18 when him and opa bought it. In a couple days he is going to make 3rd cut silage with it. We were joking about let it take early retirement at 50 this year. But it will hopefully make it to 65. Ohhh and it sounds great. Would love another
Need to get that on farm simulator 19. Best farm game ever great for them cold winter days. Gives you a taste of sumer.
I think there is, if you know where to look
Love to see more of his tractors
If you have Facebook, join the Oliver and white tractors group (exactly how I typed it,) you’ll get to see plenty of them
Probably the one of the coolest weddings ever congrats guys!
I saw a White tractor on the former Sac County Farm, close to Early, IA My uncle rented that farm. The tractor looked like a fine piece of farm implement. It even had lights and a few other better features. Perhaps a moving drum used as a pulley to power the conveyor for putting hay bales into the loft was included. Laverne must have been glad to have that Whitey on his farm.
Funny Blane just popped up on here. Just got his old 8700 Combine hauled here to Michigan to fix the damage from his rollover accident in 2017 and put her back to work. His collection is amazing. Not the biggest but definitely some of the cleanest and some pretty unique pieces.
thought this might have been you at first
Great video really enjoyed watching it thanks for sharing 🚜 God bless y'all
I fell in love with that perkins engine on a 2-105 White. My dad burned out the turbo cause he shut it off hot all the time. Actually traded it for an 1850 Oliver with the same motor. Use it to this day, love it.
That a good looking tractor!
Beautiful, I completely agree with keeping it original
Such a nice couple Blane and Christine are, loved the beautiful White 2-88. I do like Oliver tractors, I just don't have any, my dad did, but I do have a White American 80 with a canopy and front loader. I just had some work done over the summer on it and the 1990 White is running like it did when I bought it. There isn't many farm mechanics that know a lot about a White but I did find one that took care of it for me and brought it back, after a year of frustrations trying to fix the clutch, hydraulics and several other issues I was having. Thanks for sharing!
Nice find and I like the 2-88 open station !
we've got a white 2-60 and a 2-85 there really nice to drive.
what a great lookin tractor, ive never seen a white in scotland cheers 🏴
My cousins had a 2-150 at one time. That was a big, decent tractor that served them well for many years. I’ll still take my IH tractors, we’re a product of our surroundings as well.
love this couple keep it original cool tractor
Love em !
Awesome tractor! Thanks for such a great video.
Hey Stephen! This is who I got Herman from. Blane has been a good friend for a long time, and has an incredible collection.
That's cool, it's neat to know who Herman's last owner was!
It nice to know who Herman’s parents are. Record that in the book of the family tree. When is Herman going to make an honest woman out of Ophelia? Has he popped the question yet?
Nice tractor. We had a white 2-70 back in 1979 frame got scratched and paint color under the black was Oliver green.
Nice original White Field Boss!
Nice tractor!!
There's one of these open station 2-88s sitting at a small dealer near Hopkinsville Kentucky.
Does it look as nice as this one? Wish he would of said what he paid for it at auction.
Really great cast of world English men & woomen
Badass tractor
Saw a 4-180 conversion working . Guy put a 300+ mack engine in , pulled real hard
I like that.
That think looks mint
After watching this I wanna get our 2-155 white running again😂
Love that tractor. Wish I had kept my 2 -105
I bought a 105 a year ago.
Only has 2900 hours.
Sweet ride.
You know I have a 2-105 and it is really nice I was thinking about selling it if you would be interested
@@finniousgames1523 u still got it and how much u want for it?
Whites were the sharpest, modern looking tractor. Such a simple design, so beautiful though
White was a pretty diverse company.
They made tractors and trucks.
The truck brands were White, Autocar, White Western Star, and some how Freightliner was with them for a time. Sad the trucks are now Volvo. My stepdad loved White Tractors and Gleaner combines.
Lot of white products were built by others , marketed by white . Tractors built by Minneapolis, cockshutt , Oliver , McConnal and fiat , trucks by autocar , western star and freightliner
Amo muito ver esses tratores trabalhando ou
circulando prá lá e prá cá!
👍👍
OH MY GOD.... i have a white garden tractor, that looks, or used to look exactly like this , but 1/10th the size... i have been trying to find something more about my tractor, its obvious that they actually made a real tractor out of them
If you ever want to sell it I'd bet this guy would buy it.
with out the cap it looks like a mini 145
Isn't a Perkins engine English made?
Yes
The original owner may may order the tractor without a ROPS to say a few $ OR he may have had a very small shed to fit it into!
That seems to be very large for a 88 hp tractor. Not that thats a bad thing, or maybe its just a spacial relationship thing on my part. Just seems to be much larger than a 2-85 or similar
It’s the exact same size as a 2-85. You just sit up higher because it has the pod cab platform.
Same size as any other 85-90hp tractor of the era.
My uncle had a case 770.
Way to heavy for 60 horsepower.
Was about the same weight as that 2-88
Tickle Cat those 770’s are a solid ton or more lighter than a 2-88. That makes the 2-88 25% heavier, minimum.
Almost same as an oliver 1850 so mid sized tractor.
Don't know why this was Recommended to me. But it was a good little video 👍 wish he would have said how fast it can go.
One of My Dad's Friends had a White and The rearend tore up in it.
So...is an old used tractor still able to be considered a "classic" or just an old used tractor?
You need an OC.
One of my grandfathers friends has a white. I dont think that it's a 288. It's been painted green, I guess because they have 3 Oliver's. They tore up the white tractor and one of their olivers
Never caught the horsepower ? Nice lookin tractor...
Those engines made about a 100 hp
Must have used the same paint as the GM trucks of the era.
That silver paint was the worst, you were always seeing vehicles with paint peeling and faded away to nothing where the primer was visible.
@@rawbacon Yeah even though white made good tractors they should have kept the oliver styling into the future for that matter they should have left oliver their own division, they were a very innovative company with some of the first powerful 6 cylinder and 3 cylinder diesels and multiple gearing.
The silver paint oxidized in the sun
that is really strange EROPS delete, I can't see how or why a company would let it out the door.
Because they are/were in the business of selling tractors; the customer didn't want it.
Might have had something to do with the 80's farm crisis. Many farm machinery companies were allowing customers to remove options like cabs on tractors or self propelled sprayers. They were doing whatever they could just to keep it so people would buy new machinery.
I just cant allow myself to think or feel kindly to any White equipment considering what they did to Moline and Oliver.
Great all English man
Used it to plant a few years then retired? Farming must be a very profitable business lol
Jessika
Oliver/White did it best!
Now hold on there big muscle allis was way ahead of the times back when anyway just saying
I never figgered out why Whites weren't white!
They were avoiding being labeled as racist
At the time Case tractors were painted white.
Well if you guys would do a little research into that you would understand what that word white means
I never really could understand why international tractors are not really international with everybody does not make sense
If you forget to plug in a Perkins in the winter it won't start.
Same thing happens if you walk past one with an ice cream cone on the 4th of July
Good choice of seed corn & women, Blaine.
Tractors, not so much.
Lolz, nothing with a 6.354 perkins could be considered a "muscle tractor"
Cylinder head is sealed more flimsily than a 6.0 powerjoke.
A bunch of white tractors rotting in a field where I live
Not even 100hp? That’s no muscle tractor.
Oops, we got a horsepower dolt appear. "Mine's bigger than yours, mine goes faster than yours, mine has more horsepower than yours, mine has more gears than yours, mine is a power shift yours isn't, etc. etc." Zzzzzzzzzz.
K Stewart I didn’t compare the machine in the video to anything i have. I just stated at less than 100hp I wouldn’t consider it a muscle tractor.
So if anybody is a dolt, that would be you for coming in here and not understanding the original comment.
