Recently, with Capaldi (no I'm not saying Peter, because they're are two Peters who were the Doctor) and Jodie, they've done this lovely little thing where the Doctor is on Gallifrey without the TARDIS and needs to escape and uses a spare TARDIS to do so. Upon entering, you're in the original Hartnell console room. It are small moments, but it's a lovely bit of continuity that brings a smile on my face.
The Master said that the Valyard came between the Doctors 12th and "Final" "incarnations" NOT between his 12th and 13th regenerations. There is no telling how many regenerations the Doctor will have. Also "incarnations" are different from regenerations. Also the Master is like suuuuuuperevil and stuff and has been known to....on occasion....lie....sooooo Who knows.

In any case the Valeyard made a mockery of the Master in that story, calling him a “third rate adversary” before sending him fleeing which suggests that whatever the Valeyard is, he’s far more cunning and unhinged than the Master has ever been
Re - Verity Newman - in the Family of Blood 2 parter it was also mentioned by "John Smith" (another Easter egg there) that his parents were Sydney and Verity, so there's two for the price of one there!

During Ace and the 7th, they went back to 1963 in one episode, and as they were leaving a house, you could hear the person on the television giving the intro to the first episode of Doctor Who. The person moderating between programmes gave the complete intro, time, but cut off at "Doctor Who". I saw that on a PBS rebroadcast, back in either the late 80s or early 90s, and I was like "cool!"

I don't know if this was ever confirmed/said before, but "The Web of Fear" was found in 2011 (but not released until 2013), so "The Snowmen" in 2012 may have been created from the knowledge that the story would be soon released, and wanted to peak the interest of New Series fans in a soon-to-be-restored Classic story..? It seemed a bit too coincidendal for this to have happened without some kind of intention/prior knowledge.

The problem that I had with 'Asylum Of The Daleks, was that a list of planets (Kembel, Spiridon, Exxilon),where the Daleks had encountered The Doctor were mentioned. However, in these encounters, there were definitely NO Dalek survivors. Zero. Zilch. Nada. On Kembel, The Doctor activated the Time Destructor, wiping the Daleks from existence (and accidentally aging companion Sara Kingdom to death in the process). On Spiridon, the Daleks were buried under an ice volcano, for all eternity. On Exxilon, several Daleks from a small expeditionary force were destroyed by savage natives, a sentient city, and the remainder and their ship, were destroyed by a human with a bomb as they tried to escape.

They're not considered canon now, but one of the Doctor Who novels from Virgin stated that the Seventh Doctor deliberately sacrificed himself in the US TV movie to balance the cosmic scales and prevent the Valeyard from coming into existence. He had reached back in time and manipulated events to cause the Sixth Doctor's death, sacrificing that life to unlock the memories needed for his various plots, and the subconscious resentment over that was one of the contributors to the Valeyard.
In the episode "Family of blood " doctor and Martha " go back to just before the first world war . The doctor is asked " what are you doing here " . His reply is " I`m here to see my parents Sam and Verity" . Literally the Show parents Sam Newman and Verity Lambert.
