- We found a cheap trunk floor for the abandoned tri five Chevy build! It's buried in some guy's storage building. While we wait for him to dig it out let's prepare the trunk area for the installation. We're pushing this tri five project forward as fast as we can. Let's get this classic car back on the road!

The car was stuffed full of parts when we rescued it czcams.com/video/742TuYVh10Q/video.html
Invest in a Blair spot weld cutter. It saved my sanity when replacing 2 quarter panels on a 66 Fairlane.
I'm going to do that. Was thinking about it the entire time. 66 Fairlane...nice!
Good progress. 👍
We're getting there
I like this channel because it reminds me the most of watching myself work. Not some over qualified mechanic on a very over edited show. I also have to do this same job on my 55
I'm glad to hear that. I hope your 55 project goes smooth & you get to enjoy the car as soon as possible. Thanks for hanging out.
This guys commentary is just so dang funny
My new trunk floor for my '57 is expected to get here tomorrow. I will be doing all this same work...thanks for the heads up on what to do!
I'm excited for you! It won't be long & you'll be cruising. We need to get these cars back on the road. Thanks for hanging out & watching the videos.
That will be a nice car when your done with the metal repair! Later Buddy ✌
Hopefully you’ll get the pan soon.
Hopefully or we'll order one & move to a different part of the car while we wait.
Ive seen those coil over shocks before. Ive also seen them shoved up thru the floor pan.
A good set of train tracks will put em through the floor!
Midnight Flyer
Burn outs are a must!
Good luck but take it one step at a time.
Thank you.
Are those rear shocks some sort of old timey coilover helper springs?
Yes. I've seen this before on cars I've brought home. Almost always on 2 door cars. My guess is people did it to make the rear sit higher for a cool look. A 70's thing I do believe. If you go back to the video you'll notice a piece of bailing wire & a short section of galvanized pipe on the drivers side shackle. This was the previous owners high school car in the 70's & I'm assuming that was also an attempt to raise the rear.
Cuz your trunk floor needs a new car!!!
I know this is a bit late but just go ahead an order a trunk floor those old guys are a bit peculiar when it comes to having something someones needs
In all honesty here in ga. I just gave up on trying to get stuff from other people the hassle just isnt worth it
I completely agree with you. It really does seem that way.
Looks like you'll be ordering a new trunk floor to keep the project moving.
He'll probably call me next spring.
Great video, coming along well , looking forward to the future videos
I always appreciate your positive comments. Videos are only going to get better from here. Lots of big plans.
