I went to Bible study with these guys.....sooooooo genuine and true. I saw their 3rd concert ever....I was 20 when they hit big.....now at alm ost 49.....still loving them.
My deep respect to Stryper, a band that has the guts to make songs and talk openly about God, still working after all this years and having to put up with all the garbage and negative criticism of the music business.
A lot of kids at my high school were led to Christ by Stryper music in the 80's. Great band/ministry.

These guys are truly beyond amazing to be doing what thy have been doing for 30 years and sounding jut as good now as they did when they first started. The are without a doubt blessed by the Lord's hand. God Bless Stryper.

I don't care what you're into or not in to; Christian, non-Christian....whatever. These guys ROCK!! Some of the best melodies ever written; not to mention amazing talent. "The Rock That Makes Me Roll" is one of the 10 best hard rock songs of all time.

Sorry but Petra isn't anywhere close to Stryper in terms of success. You may like Petra more, that is your opinion, but in terms of success you are way off base.

There are a lot of reasons why Stryper is one of my favorites - aside from their unshakable Christian foundation and message - is one of their musical uniquenesses...the "dualing guitars" of Michael and Oz on nearly every song. Outstanding songs performed at a high level of musicianship. Great stuff.
Rust proof, these guys are. Simply anointed in their craft to glorify the one and only, Almighty God. Pure, uncommon, God sped rock.

MTV used to do a thing called "all-request lunch hour" and Stryper's "Calling On You" was their all-time most requested song.
These guys always had an awesome sound besides being fabulous musicians. I remember seeing them at the Ritz in NYC 20 years ago,, they rocked the house. Looks like they still do today :-)

I was 7 in 1986 when I first saw them on the dove awards. Been a fan ever since. I remember I use to tie a tennis racket around me as a guitar and rock the house to soldiers under command at age 7,8, and 9, They are the ones that inspired me to actually learn to play guitar at age 12. Thanks guys !

This will probably sound cheesy as fuck, but i don't care. About a year ago, i had a complete mental breakdown. Completely lost my shit, had to quit work, i was suicidal, and so on. I rediscovered these guys on here and found them extremely uplifting, not only with their kickass musicianship, but also their spoken words. I'm not religious either, i don't believe in their God. But ANYTHING that can help someone like myself get through something like that is valid. Rock on, Stryper.

Have you had a life where you have been able to do what you love to do and make a good living out of it, seeing the world and enrichening people's lives? I fucking doubt it from your outlook.

I saw them on the I.G.W.T. tour in the late 80's. One of the best sounding bands live. It's good to see Tim back in the lineup.
Same in Canberra Australia 1988 totally awesome. Best live act I've ever seen. Metallica live was the worst. ISIAH 53.5.
For those who were complaining that they don't sound as good as they did back in `86-88, please realize that it was almost 27 years ago. Vocal muscles wear out as we age. People who sang Soprano at age 25, may sound tenor or high baritone at 45-50. Given that they are in their mid-late 40's, they are doing good. IJS

Was still in highschool when Soldiers came out. Saw them live twice. They've still GOT IT!
Saw them at M3 festival 2011 I was wasted on screwdrivers and long island ice tea but M3 was fun and what ever you think of stryper they do and still can put on a show.

I remember a question asked of Mylon Lefevre in Pennsylvania of what he thought of Stryper and he had nothing bad to say except that maybe they wore their "britches too tight". Stryper was a mainstay in my musical catalogue as well as The Daniel Band, Petra, Messiah Prophet and Mylon.
