Gotta tell you.... I can't help but laugh at that snake spit. If you take a moment to think about it... that little snake spat poison so hard, it smacked the elf against the wall! Just amused me terribly. Hee-hee!

Hate to say it, Rahdo, but Jen totally hit the troll at 24:20. If you watch just the troll, you can see it move ever so slightly as the arrow flies by. :)

First, this game looks like a WHOLE lot of fun! I'm sorry I missed the Kickstarter and hope it makes it's way to retail soon.
Second, in my house the game would have been flipped over at 11:55 when I commented on how my wife wasted a key ability ;)

Is this a good representation of what is included in retail? I'm assuming since there was nothing mentioned about Kickstarter backer rewards it is. I would have loved to back this but I somehow missed this one. On a side note thanks to your runthrough of Gloomhaven I was able to back that one!
+Tom Stone i only showed what's in the base game in this runthrough... i do have all the extra expansion stuff (and there's a LOT of it), but you won't see any in this video :)
Hey Rahdo. Question : the Wizard Rule sequence is shield then melee. Why haven't you (or any other video on youtube) used the Shield for the wizard?
I think I found the answer. In the second printing of the 3rd edition, they've changed the Rule

+ibigfire yup, that's something that's only started this year though, so older videos won't have them in the shownotes. i hope someday to go back and add them to the shownotes for ALL videos, but that would be a monumental task :)

I preferred the older artwork. This is probably just personal taste, but I don't really like the abstract-cartoonish look. I LOVE the game though :)
+Mythoscope Wow... as much as I like this game, I really dislike the new artwork. I'm with you. I liked the original artwork.
Thank you! Finally someone who agrees with me! IDW but most of my friends like this artwork, I think it takes away a lot of the theme the original had. The game felt heavier and a bit cooler for me. This feels too "candy" :\
This sounds like rules on top of rules. I'd play it if someone taught me. Learning it myself seems impossible.
I mean no wonder she's doing so well, is no one going to point out that you can't flick building up momentum with your thumb? You gotta Subbuteo it, dude, only use your index finger!
This game was actually available a few years ago--saw reviews of it. It had different, darker, more serious art then. The art of the dungeon floors is a big improvement, but the art of the characters absolutely not. It's been made cartoony, childish. I don't know--seems a dubious decision.
i find it 100x more appealing than the old graphic design :)
