    Thanks for a great video, Kev. Made me think about how many ways of cooking I can come up with. Propane stove in the RV, charcoal grill, and my fire ring are the complete ways of cooking I have apart from my kitchen stove. I also have an old Coleman 2 burner white gas stove, but no white gas, and I have a small propane burner, but I'm not sure if it fits the 1 pound can of propane I have. That will all be remedied today.

    Those propane "crawfish cooker" is all that my husband's family in Mexico used to cook on everyday. Good investment, especially when you find them at a garage sale like we did.

    I prefer fire for cooking, personally. SHTF, camping, not camping, any situation I can think of that involves cooking... over a wood fire is the best way to do it.

    Now, you need to provide your family with shelter, water; plus grow and raise your own food for the next 6 years. Many will not be prepared, they think the take down of America will last only a few days.

    Where's the wood gasifier? You can burn wood or other organic material and use it to produce gas which you can use like propane. Germany used this technology to run automobiles during world war II

    If i had the money, i would get a hydrogen cracker and a solar array. As long as you have water and sunlight, you'll have an infinite supply of heating fuel. And if you have a hydrogen fuel cell, you can also have an infinite supply of electricity. But a set up like that would be in the tens of thousands of dollars. However, it would pay for itself by allowing one to live off the grid.

    @Dines94 Před 12 lety

    @survivalistboards Yes they can if you're residential area is windy. Coastlines or hilltops are ideal, Denmark for example(where i'm from) receives ~20 of it's energy from wind turbines. Nice video though :)

    Disabling feedback is government tactics, not prepper tactics. If I can't comment, I'm not watching. Sorry, no offense, that's just how I feel. Good luck to you and yours sir.
