Trier was one of four regional capitals of the Roman Empire. It is located in the mid-west of Germany near Luxembourg, Belgium, France and The Netherlands. It is. I have friend living nearby, so the first time I visited Trier was quite a wonderful surprise. It is not a very well known name over where I live. Which is odd since Trier played such a role in history
