    Here are the differences of the #offroad focused #xrt model against the #luxury bent #calligraphy #santafe #hyundai #2024 #turbo #hybrid
    Hyundai Releases All-New 2024 Santa Fe Pricing
    All-new 2024 Santa Fe starting at $33,950*
    Standard three-row seating with more interior room
    Standard 2.5L turbocharged powertrain with eight-speed dual-clutch transmission
    Rugged XRT features standard 30-inch all-terrain tires, additional ground clearance
    The all-new Santa Fe presents a bold, new, upright design for a rugged-yet-sophisticated appearance. Designed from the inside out, Santa Fe features increased dimensions for cargo loading, with a liftgate opening that is nearly six inches wider and two inches taller than the previous generation. Santa Fe’s wheelbase and length have also increased about two inches for increased passenger comfort and standard three-row seating. SE through Limited trims offer second-row bench seats, while the range-topping Calligraphy model gets power-adjustable second-row captain’s chairs, allowing Santa Fe to comfortably accommodate either six or seven passengers based on trim. Santa Fe even offers easier access to roof storage thanks to innovative self-concealing grab handles integrated into the C-pillars.
    A turbocharged, direct-injected 2.5L turbo, making 277 horsepower is standard. Also available is a 1.6L turbocharged hybrid powertrain generating 178 horsepower (231-hp total system output). The 2.5T model is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the hybrid is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. All trims are available in either FWD or AWD, with the exception of the outdoor-focused XRT, which is available exclusively with AWD.
    Several new standout features are available on the Santa Fe. A new standard dual-hinged center console allows both front and rear passengers to access the front center console, making it easier for second-row occupants to also access what they need. All 2024 Santa Fe models feature OTA1(Over-The-Air) updates, allowing the vehicle’s software to be updated wirelessly with minimal downtime. An available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster seamlessly connects to the 12.3-inch navigation display, offering a premium, easy-to-use interface to access features like music, vehicle settings, and navigation. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® connectivity are standard. Available dual-wireless device charging, a UV-C sanitizing compartment, and camera-based digital rearview mirror are also new.
    The 2024 Santa Fe XRT also receives some major upgrades with increased capability in mind. For the first time on any Hyundai vehicle, All-terrain tires are standard on XRT, paired with unique black-finish alloy wheels. Thanks in part to its 30-inch tires, the XRT also boasts increased ground clearance (approximately +1.3 inches). XRT also features improved towing capacity (from 3,500 lbs. to 4,500 lbs. rating), uniquely rugged exterior and interior trim, and standard HTRAC® AWD.

    I just bought the new XRT. With its finicky shift lever, I don't think rocking the vehicle to get unstuck, is viable. That really takes it out of serious 4x4 contention. It's missing a spare tire (I dont think they even offer one) and nice deep subwoofer, too. Its pretty peppy but i am babying it until i get over 1000km. Worried about the DCT (transmission). I dont need it blowing up on me like I've heard others report in their 2021 to 2023 Santa Fe's. Lacking real leather at this price point was a bit of a disappointment, too. An optional (as opposed to standard) third row would be nice. I dont need it and the extra depth for camping gear would be a big plus. I bought it for its unique and more rugged design, dashboard refinements, ok gas mileage and the extra rear space. Pretty happy, so far.

    the lack of 360 cams on the XRT is the main deal breaker for me here...otherwise I'd go for the XRT - apparently Hyundai thinks every person that buy an XRT is gonna go mudding and cover those cams up I guess....I suppose you're trading that off for the skid plate, but honestly I'd rather buy aftermarket in that territory anyway...
    for me I'll be going for the Limited - I don't need a full out calligraphy but Limited hits the spot for me - oh no!!! I won't have the grab rails for roof access! - prob not gonna put much up there anyway given the room in this thing...the only thing I know I'd throw on a roof rack, if I do bother to get one, is a full size spare...
    most people who actually off-road are gonna buy their own parts they prefer anyway...regardless of the trim...so I honestly don't see the value add of the XRT trim other than the 1" additional clearance from the factory - which is, not much - seems lick a gimmicky vehicle to help sell lower priced models imo
    also, the lack of dual charging in this model is appalling - it's a $20 feature... I'm legit surprised by that - come on Hyundai

    I want the Hybrid trim to have the XRT grill & C-Pillar and the Calligraphies lighter color interior. Let’s let that PHEV torque fill the 2.5L DCT for better low speed smoothness and be tuned for higher MPG rather than performance. If they even consider putting the 1.6 in the hybrid it’s a non-starter DOA. All EV rage of 35 miles would be awesome but let’s do that with the heat pump so it’s true in the winter and add an J3400 NACS inlet to keep it practical. 🎯 6:55

      @@jorgedeaguinaga2632 I’m guessing the weight of the 24 over the 23 is enough to warrant more low end torque especially if loaded with people. "Rugged". To me, boxy designs imply rugged (LandRover, Land Cruiser, Bronco among others). So why does the Santa Fe get a boxy design when it is a car based CUV and not very rugged? "Well, boxy is in style and we dont want to miss out, so we might as well make whatever we have available with a boxy design because we dont make a proper body on frame utility".

    • @chiemekaa
      @chiemekaa Před 4 měsíci +3

      Not everyone wants a body on frame SUV. Besides, no current Land Rover is body on frame (they're still very off-road worthy despite that), and boxy does not always imply rugged. It also implies maximizing space/cargo utility, which is why it now has a reasonably accommodating 3rd row. It's also the reason why Hyundai/Kia are selling a lot of Tellurides/Palisades, so why have one boxy design when you can have two or more...Besides, most awd and properly equipped tire vehicles can handle most mild to moderate off-road terrains (hence why you have Rock Creek, Trail Sport, XRT, X-Pro, etc). If you want to go overlanding, then get a purpose built vehicle for that.
