If your using regular ammo it’s like shooting 40 cal use underwood wood ammo to get your full power really get 200 grain to 140

A solution to the FTF... you might want to check and make sure that the magazine catch is an actual 45/10mm magazine release/catch they couldve sent you a 9mm version and that makes the mag sit lower in the mag well
Or else you can polish the magazine lip on the inside and polish the feed ramp inside the barrel and a different recoil spring can make a difference especially if it isnt oem

i reccomend polishing all metal parts with 3,000 grit sand paper.

I believe it's that mag sometimes you have to keep the mag full before using it so the spring isn't so stiff

I think it’s your ammo because on my P80’s certain casings don’t work and jam but aluminum casing and brass work good from what I’ve seen

Glock 20 build lookin tuff. That's probably my next build. I'm currently building a p80 glock 27 with a 357 sig barrel that I plan to EDC. I'm a fan of those hot semi auto pistol rounds, but I think the glock 20 is a little too big for me to EDC unless I'm carrying it in a bag or something, which I don't really like to do.

@@grapestescodeuce154 In my state (MD) it's fine as long as you're not a felon and you have your concealed carry permit. I'd assume that would be the same for most places since MD is a strict gun state.

Hit the feed ramp w the sanding wheel from dremal than polish , You will take some of the nitride coating off but when you polish it , smooth as glass

I made one that looks just like it with a Rock slide RS1 slide, OEM barrel, and OEM internals
Sometimes the extractor, the thing thay holds the bullet to the slide, the under side of it has sharp edges. Every time i have ftf issues i always file a smooth "ramp" if you would so the bullets slide into the extractor easier

But definitely use oem Glock internals or a different barrel that’s prolly why it’s jamming
Make sure it has a good ejector and a good extractor bc it is stovepiping, looks like with break in it might work better tho

@@AyoItsMike yeah you needa get a gen 5 ejector;. bigtexordnance got some 19x gen 5 housings with ejector still in stock.
I told ya that g20 was the move next you need a tungsten guide rod and comp and its not gonna have any recoil
My p80 runs flawlessly it’s a 23 gen 3 but the person who built it did not put the slide lock on right so I was able to release the slide without moving the slide back at all bc the lip on the slide lock was not catching the barrel so if I pull the trigger with it like that the slide would fall off after a couple shots was scary until I found out what the problem what now it’s solid

A new build is like a new shoe gotta break it in once you run like 100 300 shots through it the barrel would be more open because the heat expands the metal in the barrel and from feeding you’ll be ok great build

I built a 23 that did this , had to dremal and polish the feed ramp on the barrel , to kinda break it in , the angle on the fatter 40 was hitting feed ramp and hanging up

Where the feed ramp meets the barrel hole and there’s that edge , I had to kinda round that off with the small sanding wheel , than polish with lil wool or foam pad from dremal kit !!! Good luck bro 🤘🏼

join the polymer80 subreddit. they got the answers for every issue. Also, the 10mm builds issues mostly stems from Lonewolf parts being out of spec. Unfortunately they are the only vendor atm

Where you’d get the g20 slide?
You gotta hold the clip at the bottom, shoot with 2 hands and hold it from the bottom, I have a p80 g19 and the problem is the clip slips from the mag release when you shoot because of the shock and recoil

The failure to feed is probably just coming from ur hand hitting the mag release while shoot try readjusting ur hands

Might not like the ammo and u might wanna put a 20lb recoil spring in der 👍 mine was doing same exact thing .. the pf45 is a little tight so polish up ur feed ramp and trigger bar where it connects to the safety and the bullet may be being rubbed little by the trigger bar as well .. the bullets have little room in there next to it .. anyway that's what I did plus finding right ammo 👍

P80's DO NOT require any oiling at all or you will soften the polymer frame on them and possibly have a catistrophic fail down the line just an FYI.. No oils no cleaners stronger than 100% silicone and no acetones ever as it eats away at the strengthening compounds in the PF

I've got a G20 and a G26 P80 build, and you nailed it, no P80 build is perfect. Some people say if you swap the ejector pin from Gen 3 (which is most kits) to a Gen 4 or Gen 5, it helps with the stovepiping.
But that's the problem with P80's, always chasing down solutions to problems.
P80 is a lot of fun, and a great way to learn how to build guns (Glocks especially, obviously) -- but never trust your life to one.
Buy a Glock, and spend your free time tinkering on the P80 to learn, IMO.
EDIT-- Check the comments for P80 conspiracy theories. Everything from ammunition casing, to ejector pins, to wrong mags, you name it. And that's the problem with the P80, always chasing down something new. 😥😥
I somewhat agree, but once you learn the basics & gain experience by building a few , you can definitely master the skill of building & recognize solutions to any problems you have quickly..
I have a few I trust 100% 💯 I know they are reliable !

@@mugstep I know it’s hard to believe but my first one I made still to this day has NEVER gave an issue. I however was being perfect with it literally polished everything didn’t use cheap stuff and that’s how I build everyone. I don’t take them out unless they are ready and I’m happy with everything. Again people rush take your time use good parts polish feed ramps connectors anything metal to metal and if you have issues still it’s either you or if you are using out of spec cheap parts. Use real oem parts and then it’s literally as reliable as any glock if done right.
@@andybars8672Facts, once I started using oem everything except for the frame..and patient/competent smithing of course, I’ve never had an issue since. It’s a little satisfying and impressive when you get it running flawlessly after the process
