I am totally bereft and heartbroken, but I am damned if Im going to pick up again, Ive come too far and Ive also lost friends to addiction, its horrendous. Cbt and naming the emotions and knowing how to take the pressure off even 5% is huge. It starts the letting go process which never stops really. My depression and adhd means i need a little bit of cannabis pnce every 8 weeks to lift the cloud and start new chapter. 6 years clean in June. No coke no alcohol

The welcome in the rooms are amazing no one wanting anything from me and me not feeling I need to fit. The isolation I need to get over is paramount to me making it. I have been clean off and on the last 18 months. I found myself thinking I could have a drink and knew I had to try abstinence. I am grateful for your words and the people who have extended their hands to me. Your videos changed my own perspective of na/aa being stuck in their addictions still going to meetings after years. I see how wrong I was now and am shameful of even thinking that way. Anyway I feel like you deserve to be updated from me because your authentic, open self has led me to these room. 😊

Spot on Billy a went to a rehab called castle Craig in Scottish borders for me it wasent just a case of putting down the drink/ drugs a had to learn why a couldn't put down the drink/ drugs in the 20 years of trying but now am ten years sober / clean after getting rebuilt in rehab keep up the good stuff bro

Absolutely amazing advice great that you have found yourself and realised you can be loved and make a difference to people's lives we get haters everywhere, but for every hater comes many that listen humans used pigeons in the war to send telegrams and they relied on us for food etc technology advanced and the pigeons were no longer needed so they took to the streets and feed off the streets and still rely on us to feed them but we call them flying vermin but infact we made this happen which also relates to many homelessness they rely on people for drugs and food etc but caused by people using them and they don't know any other life ❤
You can hear the passion in your voice and you really make it clear how important self awareness is in the recovery process. Staying clean is such a great challenge and dealing with emotions takes alot of insight. I felt sad and humbled when you said at first you didn't know the meaning of the word integrity. Your video's demonstrate integrity and acknowledge the impact of addiction . Sorry to hear you have lost some friends recently to this illness. I'm clean a year and a half Bill 20 stretch on the brown I'm still trying to work it all out I'm just very lucky my good lady stuck by me. She only has a few wines now and again but she stuck by me. I was lucky she kept me looking decent clean cloths fed us well. Addiction can happen to anyone all drugs need are the wrong mood the wrong people and a fuck it attitude for 3 days and it's got you. We're the same age, similar story growing up, except i never saw the inside of a jail. But was very very close. I only have respect for you and your family, because you've been there and you came out the other side a new man. If you ever fancy interviewing me I'll do it for you, but i wouldn't do it just for some CZcamsr to get views. I might not even be interesting to listen to, i really don't know. I remember doing testimonies in packed function rooms and people did engage so. 🤷♂️ Anyways, keep bringing your knowledge and experience to the table mate. Did phoenix house on the Wirral 2012 went in broken knowing failure was not an option did a group and was told 2% of this room would have a chance of making it I’m in that 2% still clean and living a normal life mad how many groups you do in prison rehab etc but them couple of things stick with you and make them lightbulb 💡 moments thanks for the vids bill love from Bolton

My dad said show me ya mates and I'll tell you ya future , I told him I need to get away😢I moved to Spain, distanced myself and now I'm living my life , lost my dad due to the pandemic 🥲I know he was proud that I made a new life🙏I've got mates in the jug asking how I did it? I got a job and distanced myself from temptation, no more looking over my shoulder, OK the big dough has disappeared, but so has the big jail👌

I'm clean a year and a half Bill 20 stretch on the brown I'm still trying to work it all out I'm just very lucky my good lady stuck by me. She only has a few wines now and again but she stuck by me. I was lucky she kept me looking decent clean cloths fed us well. Addiction can happen to anyone all drugs need are the wrong mood the wrong people and a fuck it attitude for 3 days and it's got you.
