My cat Tigger's first bath. He didn't like it much, he's screaming "nooooo!" the whole time. FOR THE RECORD: This bath was absolutely necessary. At the time of the bath, Tigger was really dirty to the point that he was leaving traces of dirt and stains all over my bed, his bed, and the dog's bed (he loves to roll in the dirt with my dog and lay under cars with the neighbor's cat!). You may think cats are clean animals, and don't need baths, but Tigger really doesn't spend much time grooming himself for some reason. I decided to give him the bath this day because he came in with a couple car oil stains on his back which he was unable to clean himself, nor would it have been healthy for him to lick the chemicals off. He may not have been happy about the bath, but it was for his own good. We decided to film it because as soon as I started running the water, Tigger started making funny odd noises we had never heard, so we just thought maybe we should capture it! He is perfectly fine and was back to his usual self 5 minutes after the bath. No harm done! Tigger is a happy, healthy, spoiled, well-loved kitty!

Despite yowling in protest, this cat hardly struggled and not once tried to scratch or bite to get away. It must love and trust its owner a lot. Very good kitty!
How to wash a cat like a boss:

2. Wait until it's completely stoned. They're gonna chill and drool while playing with imaginary mice and shit.

I'm an owner of 8 cats. Don't tell me that this is animal abuse because it's not. If so, bathing your child when it's unhappy is child abuse.
Their tongues.. yes, they clean themselves, and it's alright, but they lick their balls/butts/whatever with that tongue, and they lick their paws (heaven knows where those are, litter for one). It's not sanitary to them, or the humans they live with or the house they live in.
If they're outdoor cats, and don't come inside, there's no reason to bathe them.
But seriously. Calm down.
Yes, it's sad to hear the cat doing this (I can't find it cute or funny because I can't stand to hear sad animals, let alone cats... they're just too cute), but most cats don't do this. My cats, for example, get so freaking mad when I bathe them. They'll hiss and scratch at me, I have to wear gloves. But they're fine after it. Usually they just get really angry and start trying to rip your face off...

Other than how obviously upset he is.. he's a very well behaved cat. Most cats would mess up someone's hands if they were that upset about being bathed.

This is the opposite of what our cat Emmie would do. She just jumps straight into the bathtub and follows me when I have to take a shower. (She decides to take a shower with me.) she LOVES water.
She does scream "NO!" when she has to get out, though.

I'm kind of fascinated by this because I've bathed my cats many times and none of them reacted like this.
2 of the 3 actually climb into the tub when they hear the water running. Yes. They seem to enjoy it.
He’s remarkably well behaved. Other than the “crying” and the occasional attempt to escape he’s pretty quiet.

I had some cats that lived around my area. They grew so used to me to the point where they'd just start walking in my house. One day the neighborhood cat gave birth again and, when they reached the age of just trotting in the house, I didn't want them to suffer from fleas and ticks so I just gave them a bath. They didn't like it but they didn't hiss or bite. When I was done their mother just sat next to them to dry them off and return her scent. Nothing bad about it..
But Raul never came...

This is not animal abuse I mean it is kind of mean that they laughed at him but they have to give him a bath if the cat ran outside and he got mud or dirt or bugs oil on him or whatever you can't let him lick that off and it will poison or kill him you have to give a cat a bath I mean you give little kids a bath and they don't like it let me guess that's child abuse too no some of you are just overreacting like really

I find it kind of sad that the owner had to defend her self for giving her cat a bath. People hear the cries of an animal and automatically think that they are in intense pain or sadness and thus deems the action animal abuse. If you hear a child crying while the parent is giving him/her a bath, do people call that child abuse?
My cat Tilly has to have a bath every month so we can get rid of her fleas. She meows but doesn't make the noise this cat made :')

Lol. Never can watch cat videos without headphones. My kitten always comes running to investigate. She'll stare at me like I'm the one making the distress meows, crawl all over me, and start liking, or gently biting me lol.
My cat actually loves taking showers. When I'm in the shower he actually starts pawing the glass, begging to come in. I think he likes the warm water. He never cries or anything. He just sits under the water like he loves it. It's funny.

There's no sense in bathing a cat. I've never done it probably because they are indoor cats. They clean themselves. Besides, bathing them can give them skin problems like dry, flaky and itchy spot or rashes on the skin. On the other hand, if they got into something that got them dirty, especially from outside, then yes, by all means do. Another thought, most cats don't like to be bathed as they hate water and why put them through all that stress anyways, if they don't? Other than that, cute video of the cat saying "NO...NO...NO" LOL..

When tigger was a kitten, he used to play in the tub water after i showered! i was surprised he was so dramatic about the bath, i expected him to like it.... or at least tolerate it. hahaha

Look, lads; it isn't that you SHOULDN'T give a cat a bath, it's that they generally don't need one. As a few others have said, they clean themselves. I can say, however, that sometimes a bath is absolutely necessary; my folks and I own three cats, whom at one point became flearidden (they're indoor cats, but they traversed the basement of our old house often; it was pretty dirty down there.) and thus needed a good flea bath.
And it's like this, right: think of making a child go to school. They may not like it, but they gotta go. Just as that, if a cat is dirty enough that allowing it to clean itself won't fix anything, they have to get a bath. Most won't like it, but it still has to be done. Simple as that, really...

I've seen this video several times and at first I thought, "How mean of them to laugh at the cat that is suffering so much. They are just being cruel to that beautiful cat." Then I saw the other videos on this channel. I learned this is NOT an abused cat. This cat is loved and loves being loved by his family. He just hates baths... A LOT.

People need to understand, if your cat goes out it needs to get a bath from time to time. Not only to keep it clean, but to prevent fleas through the likes of flea bath. Even an indoor cat can make a mess of something and get to the point where it needs to be either cleaned with a washcloth and soap (which they hate just as much as baths), or a full bath. There are cats that absolutely LOVE rolling around in their litterbox for some reason, and which is worse? Letting your cat have traces of its poop and pee stuck in its fur, or giving it a quick bath?

Most of you are getting upset because of this cat freaking out... keep in mind some cats tend to get matted fur (not sure if I spelled thwt correctly) but any who.. cats with matted, or consistently tangled fur. My grandmother gives her cat a bath because... guess what her fur is always getting tangled and matted and she hates to take a bath and she freaks out just as bad as almost any cat who despises water. -..- its natural for most cats to hate water so chill out. Its not abuse. now if they were drowning the cat or hitting it. That's abuse...
this is cute. One of my male cats despised bath day and would actually try to hide in the (covered) litter box and yelled his little heart out until it was over. On the flip side- one of my girls loved bath time, she would actually jump in the tub when I would take a shower and just hang out she truly loved the water. Kudos to you for thinking of your kitties health and not allowing him to lick off the oil/grease stains himself. As for the people belly aching about giving cats baths give it a rest. there is nothing wrong with it. Different cats act differently towards water and there was no harm done, he had a minor freak out b/c it was his first bath.
