      You will have the "opportunity" to make everything straight.....On the other hand, I will guess you were feeling pretty pressured to get dried in. I dont know but suspect the two of you wouldn't have gotten the siding finished in time if you had wrapped first.

    I taught both my kids, girl & boy to use all my saws. Safety first & I also helped a friend remodel her kitchen & living room area. Her husband was working out of town & told me not to let her near power tools, lol. I had her running those saw & even cutting out where electric boxes were. He can in after about three weeks & was so surprised she could do it. I was in my 50's then & I'm 64 yr old woman now & me & my 72 yrs old sister just put up a greenhouse. I love power tools. I'd rather go to a lowes than a mall any day. I love y'all channel.

    Trust me, as a mom of two boys, the values you instill now, will pay off when they’re grown. My two are now your age. They’re very hard workers, and I’m so incredibly proud of how they are continuing the same values in their kids as my spouse and I did with them. Long term rewards!

  • @rbud57

    Reminding me of my dear departed Hubby, who used to pay little town kids to pick up trash along our property lines - there's always a bunch since we're on the downwind end of town, haha! He took great pride in our little acre, and would ride the riding mower around saying he was "manicuring the estate!" I miss that man.
    You're doing great, carry on! ❤

  • @TheFiberFrontier
    @TheFiberFrontier Před 2 lety +2

    A serious piece of advice about those loud tools. Wear hearing protection!! My hubby never did (tough guy), now at almost 78 he's got significant hearing loss. It's very hard on him, and me, and hearing aids only do so much. Loss of hearing leads to loss of comprehension as well, and the communication impairment is such loss of quality of life. Protect your hearing, and your eyes as well. A public service announcement from the old folks 🙂

    Point of interest... when I was building my shed I did so with the help of my then 75 year old mom. She didn't do any heavy lifting but she did a lot of holding things in place for me. She also had an eagle eye and stopped me from doing something wrong quite a few times.

However, she was a big help with that special gas nailer. I'm watching these back-to-back to see the finished workshop. By the way do you have a Master Plan for this new homestead - like where each structure needs to be, etc. so you know where water & electric lines need to be dug?
