    Barely 6 minutes in and this is already the best car control tutorial out there. Just the fact that you make the first steps so basic but not skim over it like most if not all other tutorials is like the best st thing ever. Also extremely reminds me of the classical guitar course I am following, which basically does the same, start with the most basic part (plucking) slower then normal for multiple lessons before even touching the fretboard.

    I would like to add custom training like "Backboard Therapy' for beginners after they completed lvl 1-8. This is helpful for slotting basic aerial passes/crosses in front of the goal. Also some kind of goalie training will help you save high balls going fast. These helped me a lot during my diamond and champs days. I"m GC1 now and can airroll right but I'm def going to try some of these steps and training tools, thanks!

    Great tutorial! Those basic-basic steps (no air roll at all, sideways, facing backwards, etc.) seem to be really helpful!
    I am currently learning air roll left using "Losfeld method" and it feels really good.
    I had no idea that time rewind was a thing! Sounds like an amazing tool for practicing!

    Interesting perspective on learning aerial control.
    Nice thing in this video that other videos rarely have is a way to adjust your car forward/backward to speed up and slow down in between directional inputs (by letting go of your air roll). And not just this fact, but also that the first steps in the video lead to this and actually help to do this. This method also probably smoothes beginner transition to constant air roll, which you need to build muscle memory for every situation faster. Not to mention that perfectly efficient aerial movement is a mix of both DAR (for precision, inertia is under control) AND non-DAR (for speed) adjustments and you want to know both. So kudosu on that part. Many others just tell you how to turn left and right when hood faces you during revolution and pretend that pitch control and million other things don't exist.
    Also big fan of binding both DAR inputs. It feels unnatural to have only one and having both helps with jumping off both walls (especially when you are beginner), recoveries etc. However mastering both DARs as a general flying technique sounds questionable. As an ultimate end goal to push aerial car control to the limit yes, but for most of us I'm not really sure if this is worth it.
    All in all good job presenting aspects that are not talked about in other tutorials and not producing yet another 5-10 min lame tutorial like some do, but soooo many things are missing for this to be "the only video". I hope some day we will see something like that, but for now to get most of the knowledge one should probably watch a lot of channels: your channel, Losfeld channel, Lemniscate, Kevpert, Grifflicious, The First Axiom just to name a few; and should be careful and critical and patient while doing so, constantly trying new things to understand what works and what to ignore.
    Hope to see more quality content like this and wish all the beginners good luck on the journey, aerial control takes a lot of time, be patient and results will be good 🙂

    This is a great video, Id also recommend going back occasionally and practicing different directions you've moved on from while you're figuring it out to keep the muscle memory. I remember when I first learned air roll, I did something like this method, but I would lose a little progress after a while on backward car control in game because I didn't continue practicing it at first.

      @@RocketInsight Been a month since I started this. I added a new routine into the mix where I target the harder levels I do for example level 14 Leth Neon Heights Rings I give myself 100 lives flying forward backwards and sideways. I struggle with flying down and noticed I'm hovering more than flying when I do the 0 deaths run meaning I might be scared to crash. I'm really good levels 1-5 but the later stages like 14 17 and 20 I don't get enough practice. So when ever I have time I put an hour aside doing your fundamentals but targeting the harder stages. I also added floating in the goal facing different directions as a warmup, this seems to help me with hovering while the 100 lives runs helps me with flying.

  • @raylarone6722
    @raylarone6722 Před 12 dny

    Ok, I've got up to step 6 around 22:00. One thing I don't understand is in order to make an input you have to wait until the car is facing forward. If you are currently facing backwards the same input will do the opposite thing. Is the right? you always just wait until the car is forward before making an input? It seems like in a game, this would waste too much time, or maybe not

    • @RocketInsight
      @RocketInsight  Před 12 dny +1

      @raylarone6722 The reason why you wait until the car faces forward is to get used to the movement with how your car works. And facing forward is an easier reference point to get used to. Yes, doing the inputs backwards will do it invertedly but this won't be too difficult because of two reasons: 1) You've already mastered directional air roll (when facing forward) and 2) you've mastered how to navigate your car backwards. Therefore, when you put the two together, it's much easier to do directional air roll inputs backwards. It will require some practice but not as much. Hope that makes sense.

    • @RocketInsight
      @RocketInsight  Před 2 měsíci

      I genuinely think it is. Even if you just primarily use one, which I do with air roll left, I still use air roll right a lot in very niche situations that allowed me to score or pull off the clutch save. It's also really beneficial for recoveries if you master both air rolls

    • @yercules
