- Communal singing at the Caird Hall Dundee led by the Dundee Proms Chorus - this song from Carousel was sung at the same time by the other BBC venues in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra was conducted by Gary Walker. Lesley Garrett joined the Choir.
Very important to sing this song now together in this difficult time.
My wonderful husband passed in May 2019, but I know he is walking with me all day everyday, as he did our entire married life.

Well when my father passed on at 95 I was very sad indeed! A friend told me ' Guy your father would like you to be happy' and that cheered me up! I am sure your husband is up there looking down smiling saying ' Be happy my dear!' You have many fond memories to reflect on I am sure! You have family and friends whom love you! ! Don't forget that!
You will see him again.
one of the best songs ever
was my high school's graduation song.
So true!
So lovely to see Shirley Jones in the chorus.
I am singing along in my mind with the audience and a little misty eyed.

BEAUTIFUL!
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark
Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark
Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Never walk alone
Oh that is so beautiful 😍

Best singalong I have heard.
Please, visit Anfield Liverpool, and feel 65,000 avid Liverpool fans sing their hearts out.
Fans singing with passion, and pride, giving their all to lift their team.
@@SteveAnarchistMountainBC I know what you mean. It's disgusting to hear a great song ruined by stinking scouse football fans
Sagahammer - bite your tongue, Liverpool fans will not appreciate your negative remark.
Amen. Greeting from S.Korea
May your God Bless you and keep you.
BRAVO🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌💖🌷
Wow, memories!! Beautiful!!
So want to visit Scotland. Well, stay for quite a while. . . !
It was pointed out to e that this musical was produced right after WWII. Think abut that. Everyone who lost a loved one, had to walk on thought their dreams had been tossed and blown. And yet they would not be walking alone.
. . . Also, the plot involves the certain knowledge that heaven exists. For those Americans this message really resonated.
Football aside .this is truly inspirational .YNWA
a song popular with millwall football club as well as liverpool, except that at millwall they sing, 'you'll never walk again'!!
wow
Thank you to the algorithm that made it possible to meet and enjoy your CZcams space. How should I arrange today's song? After thinking about it for a while, I just looked down as the algorithm introduced, and then I suddenly noticed that Thumb Tomorrow was fine, so I looked up again and it was your video. It may not be easy, but you have great enthusiasm. Every day when you open your phone, you see so many videos, and when you see a good one, you choose it and sometimes overlook it. I think it's the same as when you meet a person who looks good in your eyes amidst the many encounters that pass by the world, you want to see it again and again. It will be difficult for anyone to know all the hard work you put into the video production unless you try it yourself. As if nothing in the world is easy. Do you know how dazzlingly beautiful your CZcams life is because there are subscribers like me who love your videos at this moment? The most wonderful person is Baro, who put all his heart, effort and effort into making this video. Please make more good videos in the future. Everyone in the world lives the same. I was on CZcams a little earlier and a little late, so it's just the difference I haven't shown yet, but it seems like it's only me that's having a hard time, and the worries that only make myself more impatient are all from useless greed. As much as you have worked hard for your dreams, I hope that you will grow as big as possible.
Очаровательная Нетребко..
America
Thank U Christ for telling me it is a spiritual music!
you will never be alone with him
Nothing spiritual about it, the song is from a movie called Carousel.
@@graememiller3798 Stage show by Rogers and Hamerstein who created a great song, which has now been murdered by thousands of lowlife scousers.
@@graememiller3798 That's a ridiculous comment. It was written by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein for the musical, "Carousel," which opened on Broadway shortly before the end of WW II. The meaning, of this, or any song is found in those who listen to it. Most listeners hear a spiritual song that conveys the meaning that no matter how bad things become, or how alone you feel, you are accompanied by the spirit of a loved one, whether it be a metaphysical entity such as Jesus, or a lost or living loved one. It's a song that has raised spirits, prevented suicides, and helped people through tough times for 75 years. Hear anything you like, but don't impose your cynical, mean-spirited view on the tens of millions of people who have embraced this magnificent song as uplifting and deeply spiritual.
😀👍🏻
Who is the male soloist please ?
Lesley garret, it says in the description, joined the Choir
@@jggraphics5386 Lesley Garrett is a soprano. I would also like to know the name of the male soloist. He has a marvellous voice.
3081v to do
who was the tenor singing on the stage ? I'll bet he was well pissed off ! It neither mentioned him or showed him from the front so he could be recognised
My brother has just informed me that the singer in question is none other than Placido Domingo. At 40-45 seconds in you can see him from the back. And if you listen carefully and are familiar with Domingo you can indeed hear his slightly accented English. Sorry it took so long to get back to you on this, ha ha ;-)
Why the flags?
Gerry who ???
Abit too fast . Slower as Gerry did
para quien es este aplauso? para quien?? los solistas para todo el mundo que no canto muy bien
love you
We welcome Scotland heartly after Brexit in the EU as a sovereign state.
Up the Reds !!!!
Could Lennon and McCartney have written anything like this? I doubt it!
As a MU fan, I can never support this as an anthem.... well, can't see it catching on..... well, for England, .. Walk on, Walk on, With hope, in your heart... but you did'nt hear me say that.
Religious music.
No, Janet, ... it is a spiritual exclamation, ... spiritual.
Great stuff
