Love the Content! 😊
the third game is better. very fun.
The game : * screen shaking, red tint, demon sound, black wines spreading from a door *
Tyler at that moment: "This game is way more laid-back than the first."
He said its more laid back than the other puzzle games he's played but he didn't say the first game
"I do know that a ship's wheel will generally go where the ships-wheel-holder is." Yes yes i concur, indeed
Hmmm the floor appears to be made of floor
Looks like you missed some notes in the game. They give a bit of extra story, so I think they’re worth reading.
That being said, the story is left intentionally vague. You’ll never have a complete narrative, but you’ll see some recurring names and symbolism and help tell what’s going on.
Yeah, it killed me when he didn't read the note on the weight table
All notes he missed:
Chapter 1:
(Looks to be written by a typewriter)
23rd OCTOBER, 1883
Mr Rigby,
Suffice it to say that I do not share my colleague's faith in your character. Were it up to me, I should not engage a man of such low breeding and even lower station as yourself. The very thought of taking a grave robber into our service chills my stomach, but as Mr de Montfaucon is fond of saying; "Needs must as the Devil drives."
It falls to me, then, to brief you in your ungodly task. As you should be well aware, you shall [ONLY](underlined) be paid upon your successful return with the artefact. Should you find yourself having any ideas otherwise, I must stress to you that, while the artefact is of [ENORMOUS VALUE](Underlined a lot in red ink), it is only of value within a certain small community of researchers. It is not for the eyes or hands of an uneducated man such as yourself. I unconditionally demand that you do not interact with the object in any way. It might prove incredibly dangerous for you to do so. It is an instrument of [great power](boxed around a few times with red ink), and should not be interfered with by inferior minds.
(It is signed messily, but you can easily make out that the name of the writer starts with an "R" and ends with a "t".
Chapter 2:
(From A.S.)
A mountain, a moor, a palace, a slum! Why not the quarters of a galleon in full sail?
With each dizzying step, I am whisked around the globe as simply as turning a corner!
Will you be following my path? Or forging one anew?
What sights you must have witnessed, if my own experience is any guide! I'll keep leaving notes and I urge you to do the same, that we might know if our paths have crossed.
Thrilling as this is there is something not quite right with this place, though I struggle to define what. Some earthy tang of reality that is quite missing.
I sometimes fancy I can smell the lime and greasepaint.
A.S.
(Written the same as the note by the ship)
It's been thirty weeks at sea, and the crew grow restless at our lack of plunder. Though I would not betray it, I share those concerns. A privateers license is no small investment, and my investor will not be happy without a return.
According to the prisoners we took off the San Espisito, we should find the Santa Helena in these waters, fresh out of New Granada. They were simple swabs, ignorant of all save the workings of the decks, but they spoke of some artefact of great value aboard.
I gave them a place among my crew.
(An A.S. note)
It is the natural tendency of this world to twist itself into ever more elaborated arrangements.
Like the spirals of a vortex, at once both the pattern and the system.
It seems as though each room is itself a part of a wider apparatus. You must tune the room to find the glyph, and tune the glyph to find the door.
All must be aligned, but to what purpose?
Am I the explorer?
The prisoner?
Or the rat in the maze?
A.S
(Written by the man on the ship)
The Santa Helena came apart on rocks at 1800 hours. She heaved as if the bottom had been torn from her and began taking on water at a terrible rate. Only there were no rocks. We approached as close as we dared to try and take on survivors, but only one swam clear of the wreckage.
He is some sort of scholar.
A wild eyed wreck of a man tattered, blood-stained rags. Clutched in his white knuckled fist was some sort of sculpture that he babbled was of unimaginable power and worth. It seems our prize may not have gone with the Helena.
I've had it moved to my quarters for safekeeping.
I tried to keep the format of each letter as well, but that may not work out as well as I want. Regardless, I really hope Tyler includes them all in the next episode.
@@Pikaton659 Tyler’s not so big on patience, is my impression.
@@Pikaton659 thank you
The hints are basically
"Hey, You can do this! *_figure out the rest"_*
I feel like they're better than House Of DaVinci's.
The ovals are over there, now draw the rest of the owl.
I mean generally the first ones are, they do get a bit better than that, haha
tbh that's what I want most of the time, not knowing where to go next is how I usually get stuck --- especially since the mouse clicks are a bit finicky so it's hard to know whether or not you can do something
The Room is one of the only series where I buy every single game as soon as they come out and immediatly play them. The games are just SO GOOD, even the VR game!
Can’t wait till you get to the room old sins!
I’ve played every single the room game, and I think it gets better as it goes! I think you would really like the last game, took me many hours to beat it!
Really cool concept
Day 10 of the petition to bring back the ladder
This series really is great. Too bad I don't have anything to play the VR one on, or else I'd also be able to say I've played them all.
personally I wanna see him try and go for secret endings in the room 3. that would be... interesting.
and funny, probably funny
I played 1, 2, & 3. I’m currently replaying 1, might do the VR one after
@@UltraLuigi2401 VR one is a little harder to control in my opinion, but it feels more real
The VR one had some amazing oh shit! Moments. I played it with my friend and we had so much fucking fun
I really hope that the other topic talked about on stream was about if the ladder was or wasn't coming back.
The boat reminded me of Return of The Obra Dinn, which is a game I feel like you'd like.
YES FINALLY there is a heavy shortage of videos of this game on youtube. Make sure to check out the rest of the series! The Room 3, The Room: Old Sins, and The Room VR: A Dark Matter
17:02 “Thank God for that hint”
The game creators who put the hint there
:|
Oh it took me a while to get it... he said to thank "God" but "God" didn't create the puzzle, it was the creators of the puzzle which should have been "thanked" instead...
You’re aware that this phrase, these days, is just a turn of phrase and not actually connected to actual gratitude to the literal monotheistic god, right?
@@JasperJanssen I am aware but his comment is a joke I think
@@JasperJanssen are you aware that this is a joke
Argh... I remember having my mind blown with the aztec puzzles. You literally look through a broken mirror to change the aztec temple to a little catholic looking temple. Just, the use of style and items to tell a piece of unfortunate history under the guise of puzzles. Friggen loved it.
YES! I think the room 1 was my favorite series you have ever done. Excited to see more!
I love watching you play these interactive puzzle games!
aaaaahh ive been looking forward to this
i have really fond, vivid memories of learning how to torrent apps on my phone as an 8/9 year old just to play this game.... :") very happy to see my favorite youtuber/streamer play it now many years later!!
LOVE YOU TYLER ❤️ finally joining ur membership on youtube!! Keep doing you man!
Appreciate it, glad you enjoy the vids :)
Loved the first part. Good that it gets continued :)
"But significantly less scary!" *camera turns to illuminate a Weeping Angel*
13:20 hey Tyler the fore mast is the fore most mast so the mast closest to the front, the part you were referring to is the bowsprit
I'm so glad you decided to continue this game series!
Love this series, hope you go through more of the games after 2
I know you probably already understood this, but the gems that reveal doors at the end of each chapters are "Null Elements" from the first game. If you remember, at the end, after unlocking the box and reaching it, you enter a similar door.
Appreciate the intro. Really gets you up to speed
one of my favorite things about the room is that you never know when you are done with a piece of the puzzle, unlike most puzzle games/escape rooms
Let's gooooo. Just in time to watch before bed. Thanks Tyler!
I love this series
I know this is dumb, but I decided to race you through this game based on your video (At 1.25 playback because I forgot that was on). I enjoy the room games and the puzzles it contains enough to have played through all three multiple times. You pretty much kept pace with me, knowing the solutions, into half way through the ship. I had a thirty second lead finishing that chapter, because I knew what the spring and anchor did. The Temple is my least favorite level, but knowing how it worked gave another substantial lead. At the end of the video, I had just made the device appear in the following chapter. Looking forward to playing against your next video!
gotta love the animation of the door being created at end of chapter :DD
"a two thirds of a fidget spinner"
WHY must you hurt my brain this way XD
Please more! this is epic!
Awesome stuff tyler
I love this series very interesting!

WITH TWICE THE PUZZLES AND 2 MORE EPISODES
The missed upload the other day is definitely mad up for by the “double” upload today!
the monocle returns
Every time I like the video a lot, I watch the complete Advertisements. I hope it supports the creater :)
Weapon has a bow in the shape of a cross.
"Is it a gun?"
Very cool
Yay! It's back.
Now I don’t mean to be impatient but, FINALLY!!!
Took a glance at the thumbnail and there goes my imagination...
YOOO BIG HYPE ITS BACK!!!
Tyler every time he starts a new sentence
Right o!!!
the room: *again*
Thank you
Yay it's back
aw yeah baby lets goo
I love the Room it’s the best
Perfect for halloween.
You can imitate the eyepiece mechanics in real life. You just need an unpolarised LED screen and polarising eypiece. The liquid crystal screens usually mess up the light direction so if you remove a polarising layer the screen will simply look white.
Can’t wait for him to see The Room 3
I expect him to get backseated so hard for endings 2-4.
Pog the second game :D
i wish he would play return of the obra dinn! such a good mystery puzzler
Game: I am full of sophisticated puzzles and spooky ambience
Tyler: I smash... Smash! SMEHHSH!
I don't know if it would be your kind of game, but if you like these escape room styled puzzels, you might enjoy the "Zero Escape" Series. These games have a lot more story with visual novel elements, but the puzzels are really fun - complicated enough that you can't just solve them by the first look, but fair enough that the solutions are satisfying.
14:16 The E turns into a S !
Bro there's two more that expand so mutch more than each before and maybe a fifth I can't remember
I feel like this should've been called 'The Second Room'
I know some people might give you shit for hints but the important thing is that you enjoy the game! Cause if the creator doesn't like what he is doing the end product just wont be as good. As such always do what you enjoy and I will enjoy watching you enjoy.
Your mom: go to your room!
Your room:
OMG YAY!!!!!!
hm, is this one isn't taken from the variety streams, right? Seems a bit different from what i remember from watching the vods (couldnt watch it live D:)
Is it because the first few chapters was before you turned on hints?
Edit: wait lmao I managed to miss the intro
Nice
Hey, Tyler, I know you dont typically like people giving recommendations on games in the comments, but I think you might really enjoy the black watchmen game, even if just in your free time. It seems just right up your alley
OOOooooohhhhh spooky time
I played this for the first time really late at night, really shouldn't have, and I didn't finish it till the next day; anyway, fun game, hope you enjoyed it man
THe part with the light thing and using the hourglass is kinda horror like
If your into it. The Room VR was one of the greatest games I’ve ever played in my life
I hope he plays the VR game at some point, because i haven't seen anything about it and it will be a fun surprise.
I knew this game looked better on steam than iOS, but holy shit it looks so much better
I wonder if Tyler would be interested in Return of the Obra Dinn
YUSSSSSS
Yesssss
Yes good job for make video
I swear that i see stickbugs everytime he lines things up

Hey Tyler i recommend you play Framed! It’s a different style of puzzle game and it’s really fun
Last time I was this early was a while ago
I was wondering when we'd get this
16:20 Aren't triangles the answer to everything anyways ?
Wonder when he will post the third and fourth games if they exist.
Conflicting... do I watch, or do I buy it
Me: Ok Google, translate " a diamond shaped, metal casting " to Homestuck
Google: " Vriska's Dice " is " a diamond shaped, metal casting " in Homestuck
I beat this game when I was like 9-10
Imagine this game but in 3D VR
At around 5:41 i felt my heart rate increase
I wonder if your mood would be different playing this game in the dark instead of your well lit cheery room? Though your bouncy attitude is a welcome change from the grimness of world events, so thank you for that respite.
