I just want Eleanor to thrive. I know she was sick for a while but she is looking good now. Been with you from the beginning. The first red dog season was so exciting.
❤Eleanor is beloved among bison lovers ❤ and is the cherished little mascot of your herd!❤ I thank you for answering a few questions. Was she bullied by the other red dogs AND their Mamas when she herself was a tiny red dog. Did her Momma reject her or could not nurse her for some reason and was Eleanor bottle fed? She's tiny but from what I've seen she calved Nora on her own and is a natural good Momma in spite of her own low hierarchy and being bullied by the "mean girls" in the herd. I hope she gets pregnant again as a baby is good company for her while keeping distance from the herd. She will always be the "Aloof Little Princess " who loves to love and be loved. Her unique friendliness and sweet disposition makes your channel unique and adds a tenderness to the roughness of bison ranching! Hi Dusty..I'm so pleased that Lady Eleanor gets 'special ' treatment..like extra cubes..isn't it strange how us humans have a liking for underdogs..she is a sweet gentle girl and not seeing well doesn't help her at all..did you know there is a song called Lady Eleanor by the band Lindisfarne ?.. its quite trippy..you can tell its a 60's song but l just thought you might like to listen to it..Lindisfarne is actually known as Holy Island of Lindisfarne and is off the North East Coast of England just south of the Scottish Borders..a piece of useless information ..I'm full of stuff like that😂😂🇬🇧💕🙏👍👏🦬🦬🇺🇸
Eleanor is sweet-natured and doesn't react against the other bison who bully her. Instead, in her own way, she carries an independence, a dignity that endears her to many.
Never thought I would have warm, fuzzy feelings for a bison but Elenor sure changed that! Sweet Princess!

I wonder if the bison females will baby sit the calves like beef cattle do. They actually have one or two older females that will take care of the young ones while their mothers go off for a day of rest.
