I see what you did there.
Right behind those 2 jumper plates on the telescope there is a panel that comes off, and thats where you mount it on the stand inside the shuttle
This is a great ship made into Lego
I love how they use the original solar panel style from the launch rather than the updated slip panels because it represents the Hubble right after lunch

Not counting modulars (as that’s a Christmas purchase for me), this and the pirates of barracuda bay set are top of my wish list this year. It looks awesome. Was sort of bumped when I heard it wasn’t coming with the solid rocket boosters. However, I was wrong. This looks so good!

I know you put the panels on in the 'payload unloading' scene for display purposes, but it would be unrealistic--the panels would not be deployed during a payload operation :)
Great review btw; I have this set coming in Friday (hopefully).
Would be nice to have the stand in the shuttle holding Hubble to be in clear blocks, rather than black.

I think it’s about the best scale model set LEGO has done so far. On par with the Saturn V. My only complaint is the stickers inside the doors. Very hard to place. I did all the doors at once. You have a crew seat in the wrong place. The left rear one goes in the middle. I have the Eagle, Saturn V, Discovery, Hubble and I.S.S. on one shelf with the world’s most famous picture behind it. The moon over the earth from orbit.
I definitely agree about the stickers. I got my wife to apply those ones for me lol

Great review Bricksie. I can’t wait until the double points week or weekend coming up in late April so I can pick this up.
When you put the Hubble in the shuttle on the stand, your supposed to take out the 2x2 brick with the slopes. The Hubble sits done on the stand better and safer, I honestly think it shows you that in the instructions.

Not sure how many of us here are old enough to remember this mission 30 years ago. I remember the launch and watching the unloading and setup of the Hubble on the news. Perhaps cnn not sure. This pre-date modern internet. I was part of the way through my undergrad career.

Just put together the Hubble and the black dishes are turned around !? The instructions have them 180 degrees from the official images... Or are they supposed to be able to turn ?
I got this for christmas a couple of years ago. Still not built it, bit of a back log plus life getting in the way, hoping to start it soon. Dont know where uts going when i finish it though lol

I think suspending both the shuttle and Hubble from an overhead, such as the ceiling, is a viable option most reviewers seem to ignore.

5 ads for a 10 minute video. Getting a little greedy there. No matter how nice you make the videos, all the ads are making them unwatchable.
$200 set, 3 hours to make the video, operating cost, etc. CZcams is a free service unless you get premium and then there are no ads. I appreciate your feedback but unfortunately at this point there is no way around it because I have to fund my life and pay for the costs affiliate with operating the channel.
