GEOGloWS ECMWF Streamflow Services delivering hydrologic simulation and forecasting for every river in the world.
The Hydroinformatics lab of the Brigham Young University Civil & Environmental Engineering Department is one of the leaders in this relatively new and emerging field. The Hydroinformatics lab has been a driving force in the GEOGloWS Partnership. The partnership, funded through NASA-SERVIR and GEO projects, with data from ECMWF, has helped the BYU lab to develop a system that delivers a 40-year historical hydrologic simulation and a daily 15-day ensemble forecast on every river in the world, accessible through web services to every local water manager.
