      @@strangerlucky5753 Em really focuses on lyrics and the meaning behind it in all of his songs like a poet. First time I listened to this song when I young I was completely awestruck with flow and beat.
      After I got a bit older and paid attention to lyrics that’s when I truly appreciated his music and was saddened when I realized most of today’s rap is kinda hollow, just empty words with catchy beats.

    The JJ Fad reference is so overlooked in this song. When he says "Lyrics coming at you at supersonic speed (JJ FAD)" he raps the next verse in the same style as the band JJ FAD on their song "Super Sonic". They were a girls rap group in the 90's

Kids out here who have never seen Terminator, Robocop, or even The Matrix. Large swaths of people who've never seen a Marvel movie or a Batman movie. Weird, but possible.

    The "supersonic" part is a tribute to JJ Fad's hit "Supersonic". My favorite is when Em is mixing up batter and puts his hands out to his sides like "what am I supposed to do if I can't batter the women" F--king hilarious!!! I do that in my car, driving or not!

    No lie, you're definitely a type of reactor that I can relate to. You're intelligent, concise, and knowledgeable; hard to come across in the land of keyboard warriors.
    You're up there with Knox Hill, the difference is the way you talk. It's a lot more relatable to the way I convey my thoughts, while Knox has a little more knowledge of the flow schemes and patterns because he's a rapper as well.

Max Headroom, imho, is the penultimate icon of the 80s being the dawn of the computer age with the plastic and neon aesthetics practically hardwired into our memories of that time period.

      To show an aspect of this humbleness, Eminem asked his manager if it made sense to buy a Rolex as he saw one that he liked and he didn't know if he could afford it. The manager responded "it really depends on the cost really" as a joke. Eminem showed him one for 10k and asked if it was too expensive. For context, he already released his 3rd studio album at this point. He would have been worth 10s of millions at this point. He still only bought the one.
      I should also mention, I knew people associated with his daughters. They are all beyond nice and Eminem definitely is in that group. I happened to be at a major party Hailey was at and a close friend talked with her decently. He said if you didn't know who she was, you would have no idea it was her.

    Great reaction! The video is a throwback to the scene in The Matrix where Neo is connected to the mainframe to learn martial arts. Eminem is having all of the rap skills of those mentioned in the song uploaded into his brain. It's on point with the message that he is a product of those who came before.

    Em is the only artist I can think of who consistently improves his game on the regular. Think about that for a second, man.       His references are also insane. He literally watches obscure stuff from random points. This video focuses on the Max Hedroom incident but he has pulled references from a 3 episode series that was canceled from the 60s, a random reference to a movie from the 80s, and a call back to a movie from the 40s. I would not want to verse him in any cultural trivia game.

    Oooohhh this is gonna be a good one 😍😍😂😂🙏🙏 I was 17 when The Slim Shady Lp came out. That album opened up a whole new world for me. I'm danish and my dad is a rock guitarist, so that was pretty much my music back then. Em was the first artist I discovered on my own and every single time he comes out with a new album, I go back to being 17. And I don't even like hiphop 😂😂 But I love talent 🥰

    The Supersonic was a direct reference to the 80s female group JJ Fad who's top song was "Supersonic". She does this verse at the end rapping super fast and it starts with "I'm soma luma tomma luma...." Just like he did. This dude is a real child of Hip Hop.

    "The only Hall of Fame I'll be inducted in is the alcohol of fame" - I love this verse for so many reasons but mostly because Em was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. If you haven't watched the video of his entire set and his speech from the induction I highly recommend checking it out.

    This song is a challenge to every single rapper in the game. He’s doing every single rap cadence and flow in rap. That’s why it’s “rap god” basically saying : I dare you to not say I’m a rap God, let see how that goes. No one responded tho.

    Is anyone else seeing "This content is not available in your country due to a legal complaint from the government" in the corner where the music video is? I am guessing they claimed a copy right and so you had to overlay it to hide the video but I am not seeing anyone else asking about the weird overlay seeing as you can still see the video behind it.

    Em, Jay, Pun, Wayne, Rakim...my top-5 best favorite lyricists (in no particular order) of all-time in terms of worldplay. Not many people can match their creativity, in my personal opinion. Obviously there's tons of other great lyricists that deserve their due but that would my own top-5 if I had to narrow it down.

    Don't know if anyone else has said this but he is impersonating Max Headroom when he has the yellow hair. Max is known for being a computer program back in the 80' or 90's. So him saying I got a laptop in my back pocket is also saying he has a computer on his person but the person is also in the computer. ( A.I. ) or the computer itself.

I am 45 now but I still remember when Dire straits dropped "Money for Nothing " on MTV. It was one of the first videos to premiere on there and one of the first videos to use computer like graphics.

    Only bad thing about this song is that it overshadowed the rest of the album which in my opinion, is one of his best with songs like Bad Guy, Asshole, Berzerk, Evil Twin, Desperation, Wicked Ways, etc
