‘War is not a movie,’ former Ukrainian leader says

- “This war is bigger than Ukraine. This is about world order, freedom, democracy and they fight for basic principles of the world, and we are here fighting and saving the world,” former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko tells Al Jazeera.
Poroshenko pushed back against the notion that Ukraine is losing the war and said soldiers have “proven” that they can achieve a “miracle” on the battlefield.
“War is not a movie, and there is no scenario written beforehand. You can’t know the outcome before [the] war ends,” he said.
“We pay the biggest price for that. But believe me, please, do not trust Putin and please do not believe Putin. … Putin doesn’t need either Donbas or Crimea or Kherson or Zaporizhia. Putin wants to erase Ukraine,” he added.

Today many people know that Maidan was a coup d'etat provoked and organised by the USA. I think you've read about it and listened the phone conversation, intercepted by Swiss intelligence, between Victoria Nuland and Jefrey Payet on the distribution of roles in the Ukrainian political horizon after the Maidan. And even today, he's still lying about "UNPROVOKED Russian aggression ", although he knows perfectly well about 12 CIA bases and SIGINTs stationed in Ukraine along the Russian border and that the Minsk talks served as a smokescreen to hide an intensive and targetted training of the Ukrainian Army for the upcoming confrontation with Russia.

@@Eire32Ukrainian army was prepared by NATO since 2014 while Russia didn't plan any occupation, they just wanted to protect Donbass attacked by Ukraine. The Ukrainian army at the beginning had 600 000 troops while the Russian army had about 200 000.

Russia initiated negotiations starting with the Minsk agreements. And from the very beginning of the conflict in 2022, it also advocated negotiations and never refused them. Mr. Zelensky has officially banned negotiations with Russia.

Magical thinking does not win wars. Hard logistics and an effective diplomatic corps do. The Russians dominate both areas. If Ukraine does not negotiate they will lose more of their territory. This is not a sentimental or an emotional issue, but one of being able to except that reality or not.

Ukraine, with the largest army in Europe, supported by the entire NATO led by the USA (the first army in the world) has been at war with two self-proclaimed republics for 8 years. Then, a limited contingent of the Russian Federation enters the territory and robs 20% in two years. This is not a good trend for the Ukrainian regime.
