    That truck looks real salvageable. (with a lot of work) I have one almost identical. It's definately a 352, look at the left side of the air filter housing sticker and the layout is exactly like mine plus that's the only size V8 offered in '67. PS/PB. That's a nice one. Without PS you have to turn the wheel umpteen times in a 90 degree corner. But it's easy. Without PB you can forget about stopping. Might as well just jump out and save yourself. The first time I rolled the truck around in the yard after a 100% complete brake restoration I went back in the house and ordered a booster on line. If you have one of these trucks do NOT put an oversize booster in it! The original is a 6.75" single diaphragm and I put a (recommended) 8" dual diaphragm in mine. It's so overboosted that it nose-dives and I can't put enough pedal pressure on it to make the brake lights work without going through the windshield. So I just bought a massively expensive NOS OEM 1967 booster, the last one on planet earth because it's a one-year-only rig. And converting to front discs is a complete waste of time and money. The goddamn thing would stop a freight car just like it is with 4 wheel drums and it's a heavy little short box truck. 4000 unloaded. But do put a front anti-sway bar on it. 100% more stable and easier/more fun to drive. They don't need aftermarket junk Chinese "improvements." They're perfectly adequate when brought back to factory condition. Save your money. Mine is completely stock (except for that shitty booster) and a joy to drive. The end.

      @JoseChavez-rr6og Před 2 lety +1

      I'm looking into buying one of these. Your comment made me laugh out loud, made my day. One year only? I've been told never to buy the first year of any generation, I didn't think I had to worry about a 67 being the first year though as back then things were actually made to last but I'll get a 68-72

    • @5hawks
      @5hawks Před 2 lety

      @@JoseChavez-rr6og I meant the NOS brake booster was for that year only. I think '65-'70 trucks were pretty much the same. (more or less)
