it must be so gratifying to see an idea go from a thought in your head to an award winning show that people just can't get enough of.
I've been binging on Breaking Bad lately and I really do think it is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen on TV. Unlike most shows, the producers didn't milk out numerous additional seasons and the show only got better each season. I had been watching the walking dead before Breaking Bad and I've started to realize how bad the walking dead is and how the changes the producers are making is causing me to lose interest as the show goes on. Breaking Bad, however, is getting more and more interesting and really makes me think about the show more than any other show I've kept up with. Vince Gilligan is a genius and I thank him for having the desire to make sure his show is one for the sole purpose of entertainment and not to milk it for money.

I started watching The walking dead after I watched Breaking Bad, and I actually had to stop watching TWD. ANY show in comparison to breaking bad is just awful. Nothing competes with it. For anyone who is about to start watching BrBa, just know that you will NEVER be able to watch other tv shows besides BrBa ever again! Just because any other show will never seem as good. Vince Gilligan is truly a genius. The synopsis of Breaking Bad is just too perfect! As soon as I read that synopsis of the show, I immediately started watching....and I was hooked. And I still am :)

Vince is a great guest. He pauses just long enough to acknowledge Conan's moderately amusing asides, and doesn't try to riff off of them with his own mediocre jokes, but rather gets right back to the story he is telling. And he also turns to his right part way through his story to include the others on the couch. Both a high IQ and a high EQ guy. I am happy for his success.
I love how humble Gilligan is. One of the all the best.

I'm a huge X-files fan and Gilligan wrote 6 of my top 20 favourite episodes of the series. Not many writers can just strike gold over and over again. I've been putting off watching Breaking Bad for a long time, but after I heard that Giligian was a creator, it instantly jumped allot higher on my priorities list.
Be careful about starting Breaking Bad. Your TV going experience will never be the same once you watch/finish it. Trust me. It makes so many other shows pale in comparison.

I like how Vince Gilligan's "How i got the idea for breaking bad" literally resonates with the Pilot Episode of breaking bad, like how we find Walter living a small life, minding his own business, looking for part time jobs, up until at his birthday where his DEA Brother in law asks him if he wants to do a ride along with him, which sparks an idea in walts mind.
Vince Gilligan is like the Hideo Kojima for TV shows. Legend!

The writing on this show is amazing, but what's also amazing is the people portraying the story, the choice of characters, their features and the actors themselves. Brilliant.

GedaCrew I strongly agree, most of the time whenever they have actors/actresses they usually just chatter or bring up somewhat exaggerated anecdotes, here however he actually talks about what he does, where he got ideas from, how he works, etc.; it's actually more of an interesting interview.
Breaking Bad is one of TV'S greatest shows of all time. Been on Netflix and watched it through at least 6 times now. I know not much of a life but it's just doesn't get old.
To this day nothing has come close to the depth and shock of Ozymandias.

Without a doubt. As much as his fame rised, Cranston simply doesn't get enough credit. His performance was pure legendary. No other actor could rival what he did.
Yes. Not the greatest idea. But the way he crafted this show...it is a genius' work. And the acting! Bryan Cranston nailed it, as did Aaron Paul and the other cast. And thanks to Anna Gunn too for making us hate that bitch like we do.

The X-Files episodes Vince wrote were some of the best episodes in the series. Vince definitely has a knack for writing engaging stories with strong character development. Plus I feel like he's one of the few writers that's capable of pulling off a spinoff BB series like 'Better Call Saul' and still make the story feel independent. He's like the James Cameron of tv show writing lol
