Follow up from prior post: denied entry

This is a follow up from yesterday’s post (if this is your first time seeing this video then please refer to the video I posted yesterday about the towers to get the context of this story). Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, etc experience frustrations, oppression, etc in different ways in different countries and some are worse than others. People rely so much on sound and sometimes that causes harm if we are not capable of seeing sound in different ways. What happened to me is such a SCRATCH of a bigger problem of the system in this WORLD, not just a country. Continue to educate, expose, and raise awareness- it’s tiresome but the job must be done. Always have teeth and nails, my global Deaf community. 🤟

Hello everyone! I wanted to follow up related to my post yesterday about not being able to go up to the tower as I have to have a hearing person with me etc. Many of the comments were like what?! No way!! Some of you shared your experience on comments and some of you DMed me of different experiences across the world as Deaf and Disabled etc. Now the reason why I decided to post this is because of two things- I want to show (remind) how AUDIO-CENTRIC our world is. People love the fact that you speak and can hear at least something. Our world loves our ears and mouths. This is just one of the facts- people do rely on lot on sound. Is sound bad? No. The type of perspective, yes. How do we perceive sound does matter. Now, the second thing is often times I meet people who would say Oh it’s 2024! It should not happen! We are much better now! Well yes we are more forward than before but there’s still a lot of work to do. With many different countries, some worse than others, like in some countries Deaf people are not allowed to drive or can’t own a business or some see Deaf people as a curse and put them in prison. There are many various factors in this world. So I just wanted to highlight a small moment to show that the problem with the perspective on Deaf, Disabled, Deaf plus etc still exists. That’s why it’s important to continue to educate, expose information, raise awareness, be consistent. The more awareness there is, the better it will be.

I saw the movie Thursday night. Mostly Deaf audience with a few of us hearies. 20 minutes of commercials before the movie. No captions. I thought it was ironic that the last ad was "Please silence your phones."

I am writing this is reference to being discriminated against due to my hearing disability loss. Employee worked less 6 years over me I worked more experience over 17 years in laboratory. I felt without doubt that I d been discrimated against not equal payout and no training, denied promotion bec of disability, no communication enter. Eeoc said all world or all state still have problem no equal at hearing company. We keep to fight no give up our human right. Pray

You talk right so hearing prefer to hear than sign language and hands sign. Anyway eeoc said to our company cannot discriminated me a communication access by vr service will provide the interpreter sign language at work. I decided to sue our company. I waited for 5 months or 7 months, 12 months. I wait and see few months or long years??
