What are the causes of pimples on cheeks? I have normal skin but i still get them, sometimes they fade away but i get a new pimple in the same spot
How to minimize pores and dark spots??
How to make skin less oily
why do so many woman do not rinse cleansers with water? even skin experts don’t..?😱
I ❤️ U. Are there real benefits with juicing ( such as carrots, beets , etc ) to prevent acne and achieve clear skin?
I have no idea why people think they know better than dermatologists when it comes to skincare 🤪
Not even Dermatologists are unified in their skincare facts, so how do you know which expert opinion to trust?
Dana J well dermatologists know about skin health not essentially skin care
@@TheGiraffenGirl Stop watching youtubers who think they knows better than board-certified doctors.
@@chrish2730 I didn't say that I trust youtubers more than doctors, if at all. Just, that even the doctors often times don't agree on skincare. So it can sometimes be very confusing. I mostly read studies and study ingredient lists when i consider buying a product, that works well most of the time :)
cough cough susan yara
Love Dr. Sandra Lee, trust her advise as she is a trained educated "DR" and has lovely skin. I also thought she would mention the Susan Yara critique but she is just class all the way and never mentioned it. I mean that's like a dog walker giving instruction to a veterinarian.
😂🙌🏽
Yes yes yes to this!!!
Dr Lee should react to the video of Susan yara reacting to her go to bed videos.
An Qi Li I would love that!
I actually thought that's what this was going to be.
@@KellyeR1970 me too! I would pay money to see that.
KellyeRaiborn# FreeSchaefferCox I thought the same lol
Been thinking of this whilst watching this vid.
Esp when SY post something to react her previous skincare routine and saying that one of the steps or prolly more, that actually it was a bad idea, with her face so disappointed. I mean, she's obviously smart and i do like her personality but I now struggle to believe what she is saying.
I love how graceful she is at answering questions and how she makes it so understandable to the general public - while using a lot of scientific terms! such a queen
She's beautiful, an excellent doctor and obviously a really nice person as she deals with people's not so polite comments a very nice, respectful way.
I started using ceraVe after I watched her video and my skin is so happy
Joy the eye cream is great.
I wish Cerave is available in my country :'(.
I use it too now that I’m pregnant. It’s gentle and ppl have said my skin glows. And it’s not from pregnancy lol. I’m sicker than a dog, but it’s the moisturizer.
My skin hates it but that’s okay 😂 I still adore my spectro cleanser lol
Ala’a Atari everyone’s skin is different
I love how she talks!! Her voice is very inviting and she just seems like a warm person. I wish I was local and could make her my dermatologist!
LOVE Dr. Sandra Lee. Been watching her forever. She’s an expert, she’s likable, she’s kind with her patients.
I WISH THIS VIDEO WAS AN HOUR LONG FOR REAL LOL
Where is your office located at 😭😭
Me too
I’ve watched Dr. Sandra uses cleansing wipes in one of her videos and she only gently tap away the make up, unlike the other people (like me) rubbing off. I think it’s really about how you use the cleansing wipes :)
Yes! I personally love wipes but use oil for my eye makeup and lips because that skin is more sensitive. Also cleansing properly afterwards makes it okay; people just fear monger way too much nowadays
but they’re just so wasteful and unnecessary
she really is the BEST
Thank you so much for resolving the different types of acne scarring!! I though my scarring was permanent but your clarification made me realise it's not and it made me very emotional! My eternal thanksss!
I love this woman. Simple solutions, common sense advice, same info my derm gives me.
I hope everyone gives that generous, precise information like Dr. Popper. She is my favorite :P
We need these videos twice a week! So informative! Obsessed!
Stay tuned! More episodes are on the way 😉
I, for one, don't agree with the 'derma has basic routines' statement, are people forgetting the dermas ALWAYS say, they have injections for surprise zits? They do laser treatment FOR FREE because it's THEIR equipment, of course they will have basic routines because they have EASY and DIRECT access to the very expensive treatments that really works. For us, we could only rely on products, it might feel expensive but it could last us months, and we can't afford the treatments, which is not only one timr anyway, it's more of a maintenance
Although, yes, celebrities can afford it, and of course, they do use the treatments frequently, but their skin care routines are more for pampering their skin instead of keeping the acne at bay
Rimuru and most do Botox as well. No matter what skincare you use, Botox creates smooth skin so it’s irrelevant.
Rimuru do you realize they have to pay for this stuff still? Many derms DONT want to spend money on the extra stuff. And many women I know have botox and the worst skin I have ever seen; using the right products which they tend to recommend is the only right way to do this- educate yourself and be aware of the products used
@@alaasusername Lmfao, those are NOT extra stuff. Those are the stuff that 100% works, of course they'll do the treatments, and who will they pay to if they OWN ONE? even if they don't own one, I doubt they'll pay the full price. Dr Sandra Lee has freaking corticosteroid injections lying around, that's $100 average for ONE injection.
Doctor Lee, you the best, very straight and genuine answer. Salute ❤️
See that's why I watch your show Dr. Lee. You're so knowledgeable and passionate about your work.
I recently got diagnosed with PCOS, and it's amazing how many little problems being on the right meds is helping. Especially the cystic acne on my chin and jaw. It's a sucky diagnoses, but a lot more things make sense now
OMG YASSSSSS FINALLY IT'S BACK AND BACK WITH DR. PIMPLE POPPER
We're all NOT doing what we can for the environment :(
Ingrid Haugsand yeah that pissed me off 🙄
✅✅
And your 10 step Korean skincare routine is better for the environment? LOL no, if that were the case people wouldn't be getting into skincare. lets face it, people just don't like skincare wipes due to their bias due to susan yara, not because they care for the environment.
@@CatSmithers How obsessed do you have to be with Susan Yara to reach that conclusion lmao.
@@CatSmithers ummm no. Cleansing wipes are harsh for your skin and are wasteful
I notice that when viewers challenge ideas they are quoting you tubers that have no medical knowledge. I leave the medicine to Dr.s, the make up, to people who sound rational and seem to apply and look more polished. Thx.
@Plop Plop talking with experts doesn't make you an expert. "Studying" by looking up literature online does not make you an expert. If you are some aesthetician, you are not an authority nust because you work near actual dermatologists.
I could watch her forever. She was so cute when she made the 😱 face!
The episode I’ve been WAITING for!
Love this doctors stamina and patience.

So much incredible information here about acne! So glad we could do this with you Dr. Lee!
Dr. Lee is one of my favorite imaginary BFFs 💗
Love this series!!
She has such great energy... I really like her.
Can someone explain what happens to all the puss inside a pimple - where does it go? does it just dry up and get reabsorbed by the body?
Abra Annes omg yes I have no idea where it goes ??
omg i need to know too because i swear it just keeps coming back!!!
The body absorbs/breaks it down and eliminates it
Abra Annes Kelly is right ☺️👌🏻
The skin absorbs it and transfers it to poop
Really... i can't get enough of this woman.
"Do it my way, my way's the best way." Haha... Relationships; gotta love 'em. She's so for real.
All these people triggered by cleansing wipes cause they watched 5 Susan Yara videos, acting like one's using sandpaper on their skin feeling like dermatologists cause they just added Vitamin C to their routine and sporadically use SPF now like GET👏🏻OVER👏🏻YOURSELVES👏🏻
regardless of susan yara, regular usage of wipes are still bad for the environment. how bout y'all get over yourselves and ur wastefulness lmao
Susan Yara is so f*cking annoying. She's so inconsistent in her own videos.
Lol getting triggered by cleansing wipes as if it's their kryptonite is really something XD. Though I get some of their frustrations, since the majority who use cleansing wipes are tugging their skin and that sh*t ain't good. In the end, it's not really the cleansing wipes' fault, but more on the technique or usage of the product which should be made clear by influencers.
@@timothysmilezzz amen
Ya'll simply trying to cover the guilt of using makeup wipes here 😏.Commenting again.... Wet wipes are made of polyester , one can also use the wipes made of bamboo. But it will still create waste. one can use Micellar water (I RECYCLE MY BOTTLES) with reusable cotton pad while travelling or as the first cleanse with oil cleanser on heavy makeup days. Coming to Susan yara, she says that when people really rub wipes or use it as the only cleanse. I am not her biggest fan because skincare depends on every single individual and their lifestyle. But stop hating and start caring for environment. This is a NEEDDD. IF WE WANT OUR COMING GENERATION TO BE ALIVE !
I love how real she is. Omg xo
About that acne on very dry skin! I had that in my 20s, pretty bad cystic acne. My dermatologist made the antibiotic cream in an "oilier" base, own concoction and unfortunately it didn't help (good cream though). I went on birth control (as it was hormonal) and that pretty much solved it. Right now I have one bump and haven't had this in many many years! What a coincidence. :)
This is so helpful, especially the pointers on treating/preventing acne with dry skin.
Thank you heaps, Dr Sandra :) #LotsOfLove & #Happy2020
Amazing video, thank you. Can I ask you; Why am I getting small red raised spots under my eye and cheek area? It comes and goes. I use The ordinary, HA, Niacinamide and Zinc and buffet as my daily serums with an HA moisturiser. I use a mild Avene face cleanser to wash my face twice daily. I'm 35! I thought id be done with spots at my age. PLEASE answer my question as I'm so fed up with this skin issue. Love your channel. Steven, from Scotland.
imagine you being the daughter/ son of dr. Lee. both of your parents are dermatologists. you'll never have bad skin.
they might have bad skin, but they’ll be able to treat it and help them.
I’m 27 years old based on your description of scars, I do have acne scars on my skin. What are the best treatments or products to use for scars?
I think the problem with “fragrance” and the discussion around what effects it may or may not have on the skin is complicated because what makes up fragrance is not regulated and can be any number of compounds and differs from company to company and product to product. This makes it almost impossible to assess what kind of impact it is having on the skin. Personally, I err on the side of caution and avoid it but really who knows.
Lisa Hayes Saying that fragrance is unregulated is incredibly misleading, and very factually incorrect. That only certain compounds can be listed as fragrance speaks to its strict regulation. All of these compounds have been approved by regulatory bodies such as the FDA. You can check the entire list of compounds that are able to be listed under ‘fragrance’.
This is a summary from a scientist paper reader published in the peer reviewed scholarly “Flavour and Fragrance Journal”, 2002.
“In spite of...wide spread use and exposure, there is little information available on the materials used in fragrance. Fragrance formulas are considered trade secrets...There is little governmental regulation of fragrance. The fragrance industry has in place a system of self-regulation.”
Lisa Hayes Is there a more current paper? This one is almost two decades old.
The laws regarding fragrance ingredients have not really changed much since then. In 2009 European union amended their law:
According to Article 19 (1) Regulation No. 1223/2009 (cosmetics regulation)",,,, perfume aromatic compositions and their raw materials are referred to as ‘parfum’ or ‘aroma’.... At the moment, 26 fragrance allergens are subject to individual labelling".
But this is 26 ingredients out of thousands - with new fragrance molecules constantly being developed. They are taking public submission at the moment such is the problem with fragrances. The US is not even doing that much.
@@lisahayes3648 You can check all of the fragrance compounds approved for use by the FDA. I assume it would be similar for European regulators.
What home treatment do you recommend for dark facial spots?
I love this woman! She’s amazing. 💕
I will say I do agree somewhat with her in regards to how less expensive skincare does not make a difference for your skin for specific products. However, there are some reasonably affordable or semi-affordable brands that have active ingredients that treat certain conditions that normal drug store products will not offer.
Daniel Anthony I agree 100%. I don’t spend 500 bucks on a product but maybe between 40-100 isn’t too bad for certain things. My skin is in the best shape ever
I’ve heard that very often people who have acne is also due to very dry skin, right? So maybe it also helps to just hydrate the skin and lay off the peeling and co?
SHE’S SO SWEET I LOVE HER! Wish she had kids she’d be the best mom! ❤️

My dermatologist has suggested a steroid injection on my ganglion cyst on my middle finger that is On the top of my finger. It has been drained 3 times and it's not you going away. There are actually biodegradable makeup wipes, which is a good alternative!
Awww yeah! Here we GO!
I have a lot of acne scars of my face, not only because sometimes I pop them, but because they pop themselves, especially in my sleep. Will they fade with time? Or do I have to aplly acids and creams to get that ''new skin''? Ps: already use soap with salicylic acid.
Manoel you may want to look into using a topical retinoid! My derm says that they are the only proven treatment for acne scars and if you’re in the States you can get differin over the counter for under $10. Ask your doctor first though!
she mentioned the red/ brown spots (P.I.E) and how they are more temporary... how do you heal these areas up quickly and safely?
Tretinoin, AHAs like Kojic Acid, Mandelic Acid, etc, Vitamin C, & SPF(ESSENTIAL) could all benefit you! I don't know that they'll be gone quickly-- it's important to carefully introduce these steps in your skincare routine and build up a tolerance. The best results come through consistent use-- no shortcuts.
Love listening to you
i use makeup wipes on occasion. they are convenient when you’re on the run, in the car, etc.
thx dr really thos video. can you do a walmart best skincare products please thx side Note im on retin a
Do you ever consider diet as a reason for acne? I switched my diet about 6 months ago to less gluten, more healthy fats and have noticed a positive difference in my skin.
Some research has already been done on diet and acne. A positive correlation has been made between whey protein and insulin raising foods and dairy with acne.
what is the best medecine in ezcema?
What can be done for melasma? What are the treatments or medications for it?
And can AHA and BHA be used together????
There are actually brands that have AHA and BHA together. When formulated right it can be used together.
Hi,this is marina from egypt i just adore you xoxo ❤
I am on accutane and I was wondering how long I need to go before using retinoids, glycolic acid, and other active ingredients Becauee I have very oily skin and it will probably go back after the accutane round
once you go off accutane it should be fine to go back on those ingredients but not while you are still on it, you might not need to because i remained dry several months after accutane.. some people recommend waiting until 1 month after you go off of it, that is when you can start giving blood again. I was on it as well, for 5 months. For now, good ingredients to stick with are sunscreens, niacinamide, every ceramide ever, and hyaluronic acid :)
Dawson McSpadden talk to your derm about it. It truly depends on your specific skin and how it’s affected form the accutane. Some can start immediately some have to wait a while.
IVE NEVER CLICKED ON A VIDEO SO FAST!!!

I use cleansing towelettes on flights or just when it’s not practical to wash my face. People give it such a bad rep!
thats because they're criticizing when people use it regularly which is bad for the environment. so it's a well-deserved bad rep.
jill But I mean cotton pads from toners and micellar water are just as wasteful, and even more wasteful when both used in the same routine. People only shit on others who use it because Susan and other non-dermatologist CZcamsrs decided what does and doesn’t “Pull and tug on the skin” But I mean all derms are different so one may so don’t use them while other may say to
Micellar water with reusable cotton pad IS THE SAME THING. AND WAYYYY BETTER THAN WIPES.
i need help with bumps and texture
I am 47 right now, but since age 3 our internist recommended the Nivea blue tin for my dry skin (with underneath it some sweet almond oil, a few drops on a cotton ball rubbed over the skin). Since turning 44 I switched out the sweet almond oil for a hyaluronic acid serum and it's been great. I still use that tin and my skin has no "permanent" wrinkles yet, not even crow's feet. And I don't use a separate eye cream. That is amazing for dry skin, and I owe it all to that darned blue tin (it rhymes too LOL). I definitely agree with basic skin care and it doesn't have to break the bank!

facial oil? what do they do and what step are they in the skincare routine? some say apply before moisturizer, some say after, some say it depends on what your moisturizer is made of... so many opinions.
thank you for the free advice xo
I've read from The Little Book of Skin Care by Charlotte Cho.. Essence, Serums, Boosters, Ampules are done after Toner and before Sheet Masks. Moisturizer is the second to the last before Sunscreen. So basically it should be the one with the lightest consistency first then the creamy ones last because the skin would find it hard to absorb anything that is applied after creams like moisturizers and sunscreen so they should last.
@@wynwyn5493 perfect! thank you!
Oils are occlusives and they seal moisture in, they're an optional step, but if you're using them they go after your moisturizer.
@@yoh175 see what i mean? two people replied to me and both said something different. happens all the time when i ask this question. thanks for the reply tho, appreciate it. xo
@@jodyarmstrong6667 Ha, yeah there's a lot of conflicting information out there. Typically moisturizer is second to last, right before sunscreen-- but that's in the daytime when people wouldn't usually use oils.
The whole lightest consistency to creamier consistencies concept isn't really a set rule; it applies more to serums - which are water based - rather than oils.
A good moisturizer will have 3 components: humectants, occlusives, and emollients. The job of a moisturizer is to keep your skin hydrated by preventing transepidermal water loss; at night your skin is repairing itself so this becomes even more important, and people look for more occlusive ingredients.
"When an occlusive cover is applied on the skin [the oil], the transepidermal water loss is inhibited and the skin moisturises." - Gioia, Francesco, and Leonardo Celleno. “The Dynamics of Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL) from Hydrated Skin.”
I apologise for the long comment, just wanted to give you a better understanding!
Can apply salicylic acid on my face after steaming then applying a bentonite clay mask?
You could, but remember that clay is very drying and Salicylic Acid can be as well, so be sure to hydrate and moisturize well after. Also, clay masks should be used sparingly! :)

Debería haber una traducción al Español 🇪🇸
I have very bad post inflammatory hyperpigmentation any help on how to get rid of it?? Vitamin C just doesn’t do it for me and I can’t use some leave on AHA and BHA as it will cause irritation.
You might try looking into azelaic acid , it is gentler than your typical glycolic/salicylic acid and works amazingly well for hyperpigmentation. Don't forget to use a high SPF sunscreen. Of course, getting a derm's advice would be the best thing.
use rosehip oil or tamanu oil in the evening! it works wonders
It's important to note that the HA serum she talked about was not pure HA! It had an occlusive as well (Squalane) so it DID work to prevent Trans-Epidermal Water Loss, but not all HA serums have occlusives, in which case you would need to follow up with a moisturizer that does have one. HA is a humectant and attracts water and moisture, but it doesn't retain that moisture, so if you're in a dry environment, for example, it might draw some moisture out of your skin (which occlusives prevent). I'm not an expert in any sense shape or form, just watch a lot of these videos so please take this with a grain of salt and go do some more research :)
why does her brand's moisterizer have coonut oil???? i thought it would be fine for us with acne smh
