I’m a firm believer in everything happening for a reason.
I’ve been watching your videos since your name tag when you were pregnant with Jackson. I’m not a parent nor am I married so I thought it was strange I was drawn to your videos.
Recently I’ve been placed as the legal guardian of my nephew and I have been binge watching your videos and they’re helping so much! Especially this one!
Thank you so much Emily! Love all the way from New York!
I am a primary school teacher and think it would be amazing if all my parents saw your tips, so so useful! Thank you!
You should make a video with how you fit learning into your everyday routine. ❤️
Yes please 🙏🙏🙏🙏I struggle sometimes I get all my chores done and learning suffers or the other way round X factor
Absolutely love the idea, that Caleb's teacher made a house call to get to know him better. Love your channel.
Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
I’ve watched your tips from when my child was a newborn…. now it’s time for preschool! I cannot thank you enough for sharing all your tips!!
As a teacher, I think this is a great resource for parents!
As a primary school teacher I would say you're definitely doing the right thing getting caleb to read any words at all, even if they are just from memory this is brilliant and helps to build confidence and sight memory of certain sounds and letters. Amazing video as always! X
I’m a Reception teacher and it’s so refreshing to hear a parent like yourself understand what will help your child when starting school. Thank you for sharing and good luck to Caleb on starting school (and to you, it’s always scarier for the parents than the children)!
Can you do a video on school lunch meal ideas?
For The Love Of Sorted ok thank you i will check them out! And no im actually in the us the children do sit at tables but it is intresting to hear about how you guys do it 😃
I don’t think there is a primary school teacher who wouldn’t agree with your amazing advice! I am a reception teacher and you have it spot on with how good it is for the children to be as independent as they can. It is great for their confidence. I hope Caleb has a fantastic start to school and with an amazing mum like you I’m sure he will do really well.
I love you emily. Addicted to your videos since I discovered you when I was pregnant with my 3rd baby. She's 9 weeks now and tbh most days I feel I am winning at life. That's down to you. You are so inspiring, motivational and practical. You put out amazing videos and your positive energy and smile really makes me and I'm sure others feel we can do anything. What a beautiful family u are 😍
Kids always love teachers coming round its a good chance for them to get over shyness and bond as well
This is such an informative video. I don’t have to worry about it for a couple of years but still it’s getting me thinking and I know I can revisit. Thank you
Brilliant ideas. As a retired Primary School Teacher I love your positivity and you’re parenting. I’m sure Caleb will have a smooth transition into his new class. Great work 🤗👍
Saving this for future reference when my baby gets to schooling age
who is now just 9 months old
Want to see more of your monthly fav videos and also on baby and toddler toys
Thanks for all the wonderful hacks emily
Love from india
As a reception teacher I love these tips! 😄
Your videos are honestly so helpful
I'm rewatching your school-related videos now and that last tip really hit home. My eldest is starting primary school next Monday and my youngest is starting preschool tomorrow, and I know there's going to be lots of tears after we leave him. We are being very enthusiastic about it when we talk to him, so hopefully he'll be fine. It's just that we'll come back home and he's not going to be there for the first time after 3 years. When our eldest went to preschool we still had a baby to care for, but now it's different. I am very excited and at the same time dreading it!
My first born is starting kindergarten here in Canada in September and I’m excited and so anxious as well. He is a smart boy and sociable but you just worry if he will make a friend, feel welcome, will the teacher comfort him when he is upset or hurt, etc 😢. I’m gonna miss my little buddy for sure....he’s the one person I talk to all day long 😊. Great tips and good luck Caleb!
You are such an amazing mama and an inspiration and example for us less-experienced parents. Thanks for the tips - keep momming tips coming!
Great advice, would love to have more parents like you at my school! Label everything is great advice! Love your videos! Xx
This is so INCREDIBLY useful. Thanks Emily 💝
THANK YOU EMILY FOR A, WONDERFUL BACK TO SCHOOL VLOG. EVEN THOUGH I MY CHILDREN ARE UNIVERSITY STAGE, I STILL REMEMBER SCHOOL UNIFORMS AND GETTING READY FOR SCHOOL... THIS ACTUALLY BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE... LEARNING TO TIE THEIR OXFORD SHOE'S UP AND HOOKING THEIR TOGGLES ON THEIR COSTS... SUCH LOVING AND FOND MEMORIES.. 😍😍😍THANK YOU. 💕
Thank you-such a brilliant and informative video! Will definitely be taking up all of these tips! X
This is great. I used to be a reception teacher and the practise over the summer to help develop their independence in dressing and eating is such a great idea.
What a great video! My little baby is still tiny but I felt like I am already prepared for when she goes to school! Lovely useful ideas, as always, thank you so much Emily
I teach 4 and 5 year olds in Australia and all I can say is 🙌🙌🙌 Mums like you make our job so much easier! 👏😘
Great video as usual Emily. I love your hints and tips. Your a great Mum xxx
So helpful to refer too.. you're the best. 💃💃💃
Such a great video! This is so helpful to parents with children just starting school and for teachers. I love how you thought of things that will help your child be successful and also things so he won't embarrassed in front of his new friends. I just love this!
I love your videos! Thanks Emily🙋🏼♀️
Yaye, thanks Emily xx I was hoping you'd do a video on this xx
I love that you made this video. It's such a helpful one and I've not seen anything else like it online and of course you explain everything so well. Your such a great mum and an excellent role model. Love your content ❤❤
Lol label even the socks! Thanks for this Emily love these vids
I love this. Especially that you mention using cutlery. There are so many children that just cant eat properly!
Brilliant tips 😃 I used to work in a preschool and honestly you’d have been a dream parent to have 💜 love how positive you make the tips as well xxx
Amazing video! Please please please share more videos like this. I'm new in Uk and my child is about to start school and I'm learning new things everyday. This video was a massive help. Thank you Emily as always 👍🏼😍
Just wanted to say I still love watching your videos they are so helpful for mums! X
I was waiting for this lol xxx great tips you are so right about giving them the responsibility of dressing etc . Transitions are key and my sons school gave him a book with pictures of his class and coat hook / toilets etc . A routine is key and Getting organised. Would love a vid on organising paperwork / lunches and any tips on after school as this can be challenging for parents xx
Emily, from a teachers perspective, those tips are great. Encouraging independence before starting school will definitely help make the transition easier.
Oh my goodness he looks so flippin CUTE in his uniform! 😍😍
Certain tips really helped to see through my nephew’s school preparations👌👌
YES EMILY! Love this video! Xxx
Thanks for the advice . My daughter will start school in 2 weeks , she's so excited . I love your videos ❤️
Great tips and ideas. Love this video! (PS navy blue looks really good on you!)
Your such a great mum!
Emily, I loved this video. I’ve been meaning to ask you to make a video on how you taught your kids about safety. There are many resources out there, but once you go down the rabbit hole of researching them you get really worked up about all the dangers. I’d love to get your perspective as an experienced and positive mom ❤️
Omg Emily I love how you reinforce to label everything I will make sure to follow every step whenever my baby boy starts school :) 😂😂😂
Thanks Emily❤️
it's great and very helpful video Emily. as always love you and your family..
Hey Emily I really keep waiting for u speed clean , routine ,DITL videos but u keep surprising me such beautiful n creative contents 👍
Great idea for a video! Would love to see a video with different lunchbox ideas please~
Love your videos thanks for the tips
This is brilliant I work in a pre-school and this video would be amazing to show the parents of the school leaver children! The only other suggestion we give is encourage your child to carry their plate to the table to practice if they have school dinners, they’ll have a lot of friends to navigate around and carrying a lunch tray can be challenging! I love what Anna saccone joly does too she puts a funky napkin in her kids lunch boxes 😍 I would have lived that as a child. Great tips Emily will recommend your video xx
Aww Emily ur a perfect parent, though I'm a mum of 11 year son n 6 year daughter , there's so much new to learn frm ur videos, particularly this one , that's why I like ur channel, these little things u share with us seems little for us but big deals for our children to handle in schools n ur having solutions for every little thing , thank you dear😘😘
I just love your content so much Em
Great tips!! That’s so wonderful that his teacher visited you guys!! ☺️

I love your videos so much! I'm going into year six this year and I'm very excited but nervous at the same time👍👌
New on your blog, so glad to watch someone I can relate to, most bloggers are from US. Cheers from Ireland!
Caleb in his uniform looks so much like Fraser!😍 Brilliant video and fab tips!xxx
Great tips Emily!! I was a primary school teacher and these tips are great! I made a back to school video the other day and shared an amazing way to label uniform! Iron in and stick in labels just never worked for me. Good luck to your boys when they go back to school xxx
Brilliant tips!!
My eldest will start kindergarten in a few weeks and I think your tips are even useful for us! Thank you ❤
Wow ! I literally was just typing a comment earlier on your instagram to ask for your tips for school/nursery .. thank you so much !
What a great video. Great advice!
Very helpful tips Emily my twice boys start reception in September.
I loved your tips ... so beneficial ❤👍
This video was a great help. Getting your kids ready is soooo stressful!
His uniform is gorgeous!
Great tips! The lunch tips are so important because there is so many kids for one teacher to help.
The uniform is so cute!
Off topic, You always look beautiful !
Wow that's very interesting you did talk about every thing thanks so much very useful video
Great video Emily, can I ask where you bought the lunch bags pls? Thanks x
Fantastic video, SO informative and encouraging. Well done Emily. Btw Kaleb looks super cute in his uniform.
I was teaching primary 1 last year and I recommend Jack Hartmann's counting and rhyming videos as well as Jolly Phonics - great videos that kids enjoy and encourages their learning as well!
My eldest starts school next week. Eek 😬Thanks so much for making this video and the tips as well. I already have labels and most of the uniform but the hacks/tips have been invaluable.
Candy smelling soap 👍 yup! , will try that phonics one too. Thank you😊. Oh and love that fraser's lunchbox.
What a smart hack to teach a child to put his jacket on, I’ll try it with my twins, thank you. That’s a very good point when you talked about getting jackets with few buttons or a zipper 👍👏👏
Perfect timing for me
My little one is still in my belly, but your videos are already setting me up to be a good mum! ♥️
Lovely 😊 video with great 👍🏻 tips. My little boy starts reception this time too but luckily he has being attending the nursery that is inside the school and has being wearing a uniform so fingers crossed he should be ok 👌🏻 good luck for your little one ☝️ xxx
Love the video really helpful!! Also will you be making a back to school morning routine of a mum like last year? (Currently watching last years now lol) xx
Good tips 👍🏻 we played school this morning to practise putting on and taking off shoes, opening the lunch box and walking in to classroom! It went down a treat because I let my LG put on her uniform and school bag etc
Hello will you be vlogging the back to school day....?
What a helpful video Emily! Although we're not up to school yet, my 2,5 year old is going to start preschool (or our equivalent in the Netherlands) in 2 weeks. All the mom feels here 😭 I would love a video on how you're helping Jackson start nursery!
Yay!! I wanted this video.
wow this is s helpful tysm : )
Excellent video x
Can you please do a video on manners and games? You mentioned sharing and taking turns etc.
Good luck handsome Caleb with your new uniform!🍬
SOOO glad you did this video. My eldest Leo is starting school in September and I have been lost!! I don’t have a lot of mum friends so you tube mommy’s are my lifeline for things like this. THANK YOU! Good luck Caleb 😘 xx another quick question, how are you coping with him starting school emotionally?, I’m an anxious mess 😩! Xx
This is a brilliant video...it will be so so useful to so many! My eldest is going into year 1 and my youngest will be starting the pre school nursery which makes me so sad. Even though it is the best thing for her, she is so shy. I just hope she settles ok and starts to enjoy herself. She’s just doing mornings but will be strange neither of them being with me
😢 xx
Love this video!! Do you have any tips for starting Jackson? My daughter is the same age and will be starting nursery 2 days a week in September here in the U.S.
His uniform is soo cute!
school preparation is a bit different where I live..but such good tips👌🏻 well done Emily🌼👏🏻
My son only one year, but i can see a lot of stuff i can start it with him from now, thanks god i watched this video so early
As a primary school teacher I can honestly say you would be a dream parent to have! You seem so understanding about the challenges children and teachers face everyday at school. I have forwarded this video to my head of early years and asked her to share it with the new parents of children coming into foundation this year. Thank you Emily 👍🏻👩🏻🏫
Emma Slater that‘s a wonderful idea! 👏🏼
Oh wow that's excellent hope Emily see's this message!
