The song is about someone who reached a limit, couldn't bear the pa8n of life and committed suicide. The pep talk in the middle was a pep talk to remind all that life is good, and there is always hope, when you are alive. As far as this version stinking, as some have said, I disagree. They always give their all on stage. Sure, the vocals aren't as good with age, but ability to play continues to grow with age...in most cases. I essentially them, in concert, several times...80s -2000s, never a bad show. 😂

Wtf was Lars doing on drums. Ugh. This song is best to listen to the studio. Much harder hitting. Especially is watching a more recent live version as they are getting too “creative” with it. The entire acoustic part at the beginning is lost here.

Why oh why a live version. This is a great song , this is a HORRIBLE performance. Busted tempo,unnecessary drum fills, dumb solo bits , James and his Metallica Family sing along bits that are not parts of the vocal. Just completely whack.
