I listened to this man on my campus defending the Christian faith. I was extremely impressed with his answers to very difficult questions. He had a impact on my conversion to Christianity.
No, the young man in the beginning makes some good points. Some of his points are: 1. The number of accurate manuscripts does not prove that the bible is true. It just proves you had a bunch of people who copied down information from an original source accurately. 2. Inferring meaning into the text today does not mean that is how the information was understood back then. For example Jesus never said he was the son of God, he said he was the son of man. Others said he was the son of God. The word trinity never appears in the bible, but somehow people think there is a triune God. 3. Historical facts around a story just implies that the story is narrated in that environment, with certain factual personalities, places and events. Certain parts of a story can be true other parts may be completely untrue. Oh and I do believe in Christ myself, and not because of arbitrary arguments made by this older guy, who clearly does not understand the scientific method, but because of the nature of the words that came out of Jesus' mouth as written. John 17:21 "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." If you think you understand that sentence, you don't. Read it again, and again and you will eventually see the truth in Christs teachings.

For him to say it specifically in that way is just being intellectually dishonest when he clearly infers he is God many times. One mention is Psalm 2:7. Trinity is mentioned in one or a combination of scriptures MANY times. 1 John 5:7, John 10:30, 2 Corinthians 3:17 are a few. 3. This doesnt change the foundation of Christianity. While you may see untrue parts, I see multiple POV's through the Gospels. The story of the birth, death and resurrection of Christ never changed. As for John 17:21, the scripture is about unity. The need for unity does not mean tolerating blatant sin or false teaching. In this specific context, His reference is to unity of purpose and intent. Jesus' actions, consistent with the words of God and the will of God, were proof that He was sent by God. The same is meant to be true of Christian believers that their actions and attitudes reflect a commitment to their Creator

Moreover, his stated belief that he is going to heaven upon his death is contrary to what is found in Ecclesiastes 9, John 3:13, and Acts 2:29-34. In regard to these particular scripture verses, recall that David is referred to as a man after God’s own heart, 1Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22, yet Acts 2:34 states that he has not gone into heaven! Even Christ did not go to heaven upon His death, it is only after He was raised from being dead that He ascended into heaven, Luke 16:14 and John 24:51, and is the only one to have done it thus far, John 3:13. It should be plain and simple to understand that going to heaven upon one’s death or upon Christ’s return, Revelation 2:26-28, is not the reward of salvation and of the saints.

Yea, Cliff having a great explanation of prayer. Really should be down to earth. I raise my voice, I cry, I beg and I ask for guidance. I have been on my knees, my whole body tensed and covered in goosebumps as I bow my head and can only assume the presence of God was before me as I spoke to Him. I falter and fail, I have many times and felt ashamed, but I know His love is unfathomable and as the Shepherd He will guide this lost sheep back to the flock. I remember as a kid I would do those cookie cutter prayers and that's what they were... Had I really been taught about having that intimate relationship younger I doubt I would have went through a decade or so of my life going against God. We need to teach our children that God, our Father, is the best way to confide. He will always be there. By His grace we are saved.

The historical method doesn't apply to supernatural claims, as science doesn't either. Cliff is making equivocation fallacies by equivocating historical data for natural events, and non existent historical data for super natural events. For example; the gospels aren't evidence that Jesus is divine, they're evidence that people in the 2nd century and after believed that he was.

I have to say I deeply have admired Cliffe for the past decade. His way of teaching is one of the main reasons why I believe and have continued to put my faith in Christ.

As you can see in Matthew 12: 39&40, the only sign of the Anointed One’s divinity given to those of the generation who lived during the Savior’s earthly ministry was that He would be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights, that He would be buried in the earth as so many others are buried there after they die, which is another clear and unambiguous indication that no man ascends to heaven after death. How then does Cliffe speak Biblical truth when he clearly does not believe what the Bible says about what happens to the dead? Furthermore Mark 1 says that the gospel proclaimed and preached by Yeshua is the gospel of the Kingdom of God. What is the Biblical definition or explanation of what the Kingdom of God is? It is found in the second chapter of Daniel. Isaiah 9:6&7 tells who will be at the helm of that world ruling government. Now have you ever heard Cliffe speak of what is in Daniel 2, Isaiah 9:6&7 and Revelations 2:26-28? All of those scriptures speak of a very important part of the gospel that the Redeemer and Savior proclaimed and taught, yet Cliffe never talks about any of that! Understand that Alahulapu’uloakealahelenoka’ahupahau is not condemning him or judging him in the sense of sentencing him dispositively and authoritatively for eternity, but is pointing out that he does not believe and speak sound, Biblically based doctrine.
I love that Cliff isn't scared to call questioners out on their unhelpful or hypothetically unhelpful thoughts/actions when debating, because it's a great moment of rebuke that says to the questioner, "Hey, I don't like what you just did, but I still respect you and love you enough to continue helping you dive into these hard questions you have", exemplifying God's great love.
I don't know why this only just occurred to me, but Cliffe loves to use parables, just as Jesus did. I appreciate that. I tend to do the same when I'm trying to explain something to someone. It's always seemed like a sound and reliable way of related an unfamiliar subject to someone.
I'm impressed that Cliffe responds to all those questions, which are all over the place. I know that God talks to me, controls parts of my life because I know my history. He's answered questions that that I'm not smart enough to ask. He's comforted me I didn't now I was being comforted. While I'm typing and listening they are talking about Morality I know the fact that Morality exists' is proof of God.

This man has really been a massive help to me. I had strayed from my faith in Jesus and I was was angry and confused about my place in the world. My mother read the Bible to me and we'd talk about God all the time growing up so he's always been there even when I wasn't there for him. I let people around me influence my thoughts and opinions. Then I had experiences that brought me back to Jesus Christ. I'm now at Peace with my faith though there are alot of my friends and people in my life who are atheist or doubtful of god and I don't know how to reach them but Cliffe gives me hope that I can find a way to reach some of them or at the very least help people understand my beliefs a little better.
I love that people are listening to him. Normally you see kids shouting and screaming, but no everyone’s sitting and listening. Everyone is respectful. I like the way he does this. It is so much better then the loud speakers.

No, the young man in the beginning makes some good points. Some of his points are:
1. The number of accurate manuscripts does not prove that the bible is true. It just proves you had a bunch of people who copied down information from an original source accurately.
2. Inferring meaning into the text today does not mean that is how the information was understood back then. For example Jesus never said he was the son of God, he said he was the son of man. Others said he was the son of God. The word trinity never appears in the bible, but somehow people think there is a triune God.
3. Historical facts around a story just implies that the story is narrated in that environment, with certain factual personalities, places and events. Certain parts of a story can be true other parts may be completely untrue.
Oh and I do believe in Christ myself, and not because of arbitrary arguments made by this older guy, who clearly does not understand the scientific method, but because of the nature of the words that came out of Jesus' mouth as written. John 17:21 "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." If you think you understand that sentence, you don't. Read it again, and again and you will eventually see the truth in Christs teachings.

3. This doesnt change the foundation of Christianity. While you may see untrue parts, I see multiple POV's through the Gospels. The story of the birth, death and resurrection of Christ never changed. As for John 17:21, the scripture is about unity. The need for unity does not mean tolerating blatant sin or false teaching. In this specific context, His reference is to unity of purpose and intent. Jesus' actions, consistent with the words of God and the will of God, were proof that He was sent by God. The same is meant to be true of Christian believers that their actions and attitudes reflect a commitment to their Creator

Really should be down to earth. I raise my voice, I cry, I beg and I ask for guidance. I have been on my knees, my whole body tensed and covered in goosebumps as I bow my head and can only assume the presence of God was before me as I spoke to Him.
I falter and fail, I have many times and felt ashamed, but I know His love is unfathomable and as the Shepherd He will guide this lost sheep back to the flock. I remember as a kid I would do those cookie cutter prayers and that's what they were... Had I really been taught about having that intimate relationship younger I doubt I would have went through a decade or so of my life going against God. The historical method doesn't apply to supernatural claims, as science doesn't either. Cliff is making equivocation fallacies by equivocating historical data for natural events, and non existent historical data for super natural events. For example; the gospels aren't evidence that Jesus is divine, they're evidence that people in the 2nd century and after believed that he was.

All of those scriptures speak of a very important part of the gospel that the Redeemer and Savior proclaimed and taught, yet Cliffe never talks about any of that! Understand that Alahulapu’uloakealahelenoka’ahupahau is not condemning him or judging him in the sense of sentencing him dispositively and authoritatively for eternity, but is pointing out that he does not believe and speak sound, Biblically based doctrine.

I love that Cliff isn't scared to call questioners out on their unhelpful or hypothetically unhelpful thoughts/actions when debating, because it's a great moment of rebuke that says to the questioner, "Hey, I don't like what you just did, but I still respect you and love you enough to continue helping you dive into these hard questions you have", exemplifying God's great love.
I don't know why this only just occurred to me, but Cliffe loves to use parables, just as Jesus did. I appreciate that. I tend to do the same when I'm trying to explain something to someone. It's always seemed like a sound and reliable way of related an unfamiliar subject to someone.
I'm impressed that Cliffe responds to all those questions, which are all over the place. I know that God talks to me, controls parts of my life because I know my history. He's answered questions that that I'm not smart enough to ask. He's comforted me I didn't now I was being comforted. While I'm typing and listening they are talking about Morality I know the fact that Morality exists' is proof of God.

This man has really been a massive help to me. I had strayed from my faith in Jesus and I was was angry and confused about my place in the world.
My mother read the Bible to me and we'd talk about God all the time growing up so he's always been there even when I wasn't there for him. I let people around me influence my thoughts and opinions. Then I had experiences that brought me back to Jesus Christ. I'm now at Peace with my faith though there are alot of my friends and people in my life who are atheist or doubtful of god and I don't know how to reach them but Cliffe gives me hope that I can find a way to reach some of them or at the very least help people understand my beliefs a little better.
I love that people are listening to him. Normally you see kids shouting and screaming, but no everyone’s sitting and listening. Everyone is respectful. I like the way he does this. It is so much better then the loud speakers.
