I used to hate Chris and his takes but man is this guy good at his job. I absolutely love the overreaction segments
I still can't stand his awful takes, easily the worst on the show but his overreaction segment carries him on this show, he ain't jack without it
@@mobeezy81 He is a perfect cohost and foil for this show. And half his takes are meant to get a reaction/conversation going. If you don't have basic media literacy, perhaps you should refrain from using the internet.

Chris is incredibly funny, his choices are rather unusual, and Rich's verbal sparring with his 'what-ifs' can be a bit strange... They're the duo that calms your nerves right when you start getting too worked up by the game.

The Bills had 2 years of rough quarterback play from Josh Allen before getting diggs and really investing in him and the offense. Depending on where he went I'm not sure how many organizations would of had that kind of patience to give him a third year.
Easy to look back on what he is now and plug that into a more successful franchise.

Rough rookie year. But he was clearly improving in 2019. Passer rating up 18pts. Completion percentage increased 6%. Josh didn't get to sit for a year like patrick or start in the middle of the season like lamar did

Every promising young QB needs at least 3 years, if not more, to really show if they got it. The NFL and fans in particular have gotten so used to instant gratification that they refuse to let any player develop in a reasonable time frame.
The onside kick dying is sad. There was always that glimmer of hope when your team was down. There was always a "maybe!"
It was especially exciting when you'd get a scenario like the Falcons getting multiple in a game successfully, and then somehow losing. It was the hail mary of the special teams and seeing that stat ticker of "2/7 tries this kicker was successful in his onside kick" you're like darn thats really good! In a league where efficiency has been premium its one of the most inefficient, unsuccessful plays and that holds its charm.
I don’t really understand. Were people getting injured more on onside kicks? The new rule doesn’t seem to offer any remedy to that other than you lose the surprise onside? And can only do it once right?
@@jacobsims8307 well, and the kickoff format change makes it almost impossible for an onside kick no matter what.
The 4th and 15 instead of a onside sick needs to solve the defensive penalty problem before they can make the switch. Otherwise teams will just take the 4th down play and then try and purposefully get a penalty to convert. It's hard enough to play defense as is.
Agreed. They need to make it not be possible via penalty. Offense is coddled way too much as it is in the rules.
I think that is such a horrible idea. KC, Buffalo and Baltimore have such an outrageous advantage in that position. A 4th and 15 for Allen is like a 4th and 5, a 4th and 15 for Sam Darnold or some other deadbeat may as well be 4th and forever. It is so incredibly one sided.

They shined at times last year. I think I remember them playing the ravens pretty tough, losing some close ones and beating some +.500 teams.

To be fair to Chris on the Cardinals going undefeated longer than the rest of the NFC West, they can technically do that just by beating the Bills if the 49ers, Rams, and Seahawks lose to the Jets, Lions, and Broncos respectively, all of which i think are possible (Broncos > Seahawks being the least likely IMO), and if that does happen, then this will have been a correct prediction even if the Cardinals get bent over backwards by the Rams the very next game.

Outside of Pat McAfee, there's no surprise when there's an onside kick, so I don't see a change there, just 'cause now you have to announce it.
placing the football horizontally on the tee is for squib quicks, not onside kicks, if I'm not mistaken. people are thinking placing it sideways will be used for onside, but that is not the case.
a good question is, if you squib it, does that count as an onside kick?
I’ve seen them do that for onside kicks, but it’s a few specific kickers that do it that way. It’s when they’re trying to get it to stop at exactly 10 yards as opposed to getting a weird lucky bounce with the usual setup
@@partypandamonium9116 the other thing could be is that, they want the ball to bounce as wildly as possible to either delay the returner or so the ball will bounce in the end zone for a touchback.
Witt Jr is a better all around player than Judge. Judge is a better power hitter that’s it. Witt does everything else better. More valuable doesn’t always mean best. Hence Lamar v Mahomes last year for MVP.
I hate to say this but I think the hawks will be, they got broncos and pats to start, and that’s all they will need to get this new D and new O rolling with all this veteran talent and play makers with the feature best coach in the league in MD

A “4th & 15” play to replace an onside kick is a bad idea imo. The game is too structured around offense. I’d rather 1 player from each team run down a throw from the “onside kick” team back up QB or a pooch kick from the kick off point to see who gets possession 😂
Kyler Murray is not underrated. Based on his past performance. He says he has a whole new attitude now. We will see how that translates on the field.

Broncos could have won a Superbowl with Josh Allen in Russ's first year. That defense was mean that year and they just couldn't get the offense to do anything.

Yeah I wonder if that culture would've worked out for him as a developmental prospect. The inability of QB's to succeed on that team consistently since their last SB appearance definitely warranted that speculation. Seeing their offense be "a player away" with all the skill talent they supposedly have had and to get a player like Wilson for example indicates the problem is deeper then the position in my eyes. There's something missing there and its absence has been a stink lingering on that organization.
I think he might've made it harder on Mahomes to get homefield advantage year-year in their 2-3 a year matchups but I don't think he'd have had the winning opportunities there that he has had with the Bills considering division quality.

You conveniently left off an NFC West team in the Arizona take. Even if SF & LA lose Week 1, Seattle is playing Denver. Then if Arizona and Seattle are the only undefeated teams going into Week 2, Seattle plays New England and Arizona plays the Rams. Horrible, horrible take.
