If you haven't already, hold down on termux screen then tap: "more" then "kill process" and push enter to exit fully.
After that, start the process again, but don't leave the app until AFTER the prompt to allow it access to your storage shows up.
You can then allow and then freely leave the app as many times as you want.

I got it installed on my snapdragon 845 based phone but when x11 opens I see the start menu button and mouse cursor for a second and then the start button goes away and the cursor becomes an x again. Is something wrong? how do I make it work right if it is wrong?

OK so I reinstalled the software and it finished installation and everything is working until I move the mouse cursor over the start button and it immediately returns back to the x cursor. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Can you install windows iso mounter software on this? I've yet to find an windows emulator that can. Without that software compatibility most window games won't work. Only ones that don't require a CD which is past the golden age of pc gaming.
Google "game copy world nocd patch" for a great resource of No-CD patches. Also pc gaming wiki has a lot of fixes and patches
