I can imagine the interior, almost all hollow, black marble walls filled with the names of the heroes that stood to The Line. A theater at the center, replaying the battle from the start, until the end, then ENTERPRISE arriving and resolving.
Wolf 359 casualties 11,000
@@melina001a That will be a lot of black marble.
Wolf 359 Memorial Station? Brilliant.
Yeah, i love it too 🥰🖖
@@stodemorecordings you've seen the one in sto right? its the biggest hologram made i think.
@@KazeMunashii This vid is already sto. They changed it Months ago
Whilst the geek in me would point out those ships look a little to "in one piece", my inner geek still feels sorrow for all those imaginary souls who lost their lives. I am such a geek!
Very good! I couldn’t help but notice how on most of the ships the escape pods were still in place.
no chance to escape.
Destroyed too fast. Saratoga is the only one we know for sure launched them.
@@lordfaladar6261 Yup, my point exactly
@@vic5015 And the Constance
I loved the flute playing at the end, the same melody Jean Luc Picard learned while held by that darilect probe. I've always loved that melody.
6:06 - RIP Captain Shaw
Very well made. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for your hard work.
*Thank you for the upload and video. After all these years, I feel like I'm paying my respects. Thanks again.*
Thank YOU for watching 🥰🖖
@@stodemorecordings Let us never forget the sacrifices the crews of these ships made fighting the BORG on that fateful day. Remember WOLF 359. A day that will go down in infamy as the Federations darkest hour.
@@ericmadsen7470 Absolutely 🫡🖖
I like how this video addresses what is done with starships that “sink at sea” and treated as a graveyard, like the ships in Pearl Harbor.
Nicely done, particularly the integration of the musical score; I loved when the interlude music from Best of Both Worlds was heard
Just the damage that one cube did is incredible.
This was very nicely done and I liked how you kept the ships in there original damaged/destroyed state after the battle which gives massive emphasis to just how terribly outgunned and out classed the whole fleet at wolf 359 was against just a single Borg cube regardless of whether they had Locutus or not.
Incredible video! something ill never forget I viewed. Thank you so much! 💯🙏
Thank you Trevor 🥰🖖
That was excellent, thank you.
My only addition would have been a couple of twisted, almost unrecognizable star ships just to increase the emotional quotation a bit.
I had goose bumps throught the first half of this at least
🥰🖖
I played a Star Trek game in the '90's that said Borg have 6000 cubes...
I wonder what the Dominion war Memorial Station would look like.
Of course their was no wreck of the Saratoga, she was completely destroyed at Wolf 359.
Yep. But many people doesn't realise 🫡🖖
I’m wondering why they didn’t include the Galaxy class (I think it was the USS Challenger) that was clearly present and destroyed in at least STOs interpretation of the participating ships.
However the Saratoga is at the Fleet Museum. It is the original Saratoga that was disabled by the whale probe, and it was redesigned with the registry of the Saratoga that was destroyed at Wolf 359. Also, my head canon states that Geordi's Great Grandmother on his mother's side was the original Saratoga Captain.
Interesting that the ships didn't all explode like what happens on most episodes. I guess the Borg target them in a way to maximize number of crew assimilated.
🖖😎👍Very cool and very greatly nicely spectaculary well done and executed in every detail way shape and format provided, A job very fabulously and wonderfully well done indeed Sir's!👌.
Excellent work! Your use of authentic and the best of Star Trek canon music is simply exceptional!
Thank you 🥰🖖
Let god sorry them,
the battle cry of the heros of WOLF 359
I played a game where they put up a wolf 359 memorial and that place was always busy. Neat seeing people come to look at it. All the derelct ships still floating there. Never forget.
A lot of the ships were so heavily damaged, they were usually missing most of the saucer section.
Yeah, it's interesting that most of these were almost mostly intact, with nacelles/pods in place, as well. 🤔
This was really good, well done, many looked in pretty reasonable shape (to be restored)
Nicely done. Loved it. ❤
Great concept, kudos.
Awesome job thank you for sharing.
Those pilons are extra strong. Not a single ship lost a singe Nacelle.
That's a pretty great video. I love it, great respect to the fallen.
i am not crying you are. To the heroes of Wolf 359
The USS Liberator, with Blake, Avon, LOL
40 star ships and a couple Klingon birds of prey fought that day only 1 Federation star ship came back. I'm not really sure witch ship lived but it picked up the few life pods that made it and warped out before the Enterprise D got there.
Best short's in this year, congratulations Wolf 359 transform into space museum Nice Idea!
I would have repaired all of these ships to their former glory it's sad to think about that much loss of life
That was awesome!
Very well done 👍
Nice video you been making keep up great work 👍
Thanks 🥰🖖
There should be a canon memorial at Wolf 359. Like the one in Battkestar Galactica.
You lost me at the Melbourne. Damage was much more extensive. Front half of the saucer GONE
Followed by the rest of the ship when the burning wreck drifted into the side of the Cube - kaboom.
However, i wrote this wrecks are "non-canon" 🥰🖖
“You lost me at…” wow, you sound like such a douchebag. Why not thank the content creator? You’re watching non-canon content for free. Nasty person.
Very well done
this is incredible
Actually makes me pretty sad. Nice work.
Love the theme from _First Contact._
Great Video. Nice rememberence.
Most of those ships would have been incinerated by their warp cores though, but I suppose you can say the cores did an emergency shut down etc...
however: "USS Sha Ka Ree" and "USS Mjolnir"... Really?!
The names aren't my idea 😅🖖
Great Video! I love the TNG battle But I need some closure man! definitely need a Epic remake of this battle from the first sensor contact reading confirming it was the Borg to one hell of a fight scene instead of all the ships being one shot ponies! watching the Nebula Class unleash a Stream of Torpedo's to a Ambassador Class at least giving the borg a Black eye. I mean It did fight off three Romulan ships with plasma torps during its service. U got my sub make this happen! 🤣🤭
If you haven't already, check out JTVFX videos about Wolf 359.
@@FekLeyrTarg I watched it, i love this videos. I'm excited for part II of the battle
Remember the Battle of Wolf 359.
Sono troppe le navi esposte!
Mi pare di ricordare che un bel po' saltarono in aria durante la battaglia.
That's correct, i don't knwo why STO don't knwo that fact 🖖🖖
Vero..e poi sono troppo "integre"
Thx for your video.greetings from Vulkan Spirit vicepresident from Vienna/Austria europe
Grüße zurück nach Wien aus Deutschland 🥰🖖
Great video
Thank you 🥰🖖
Still know one talks about the third ship class that is shown in the beginning of Deep Space Nine. Which as a Miranda class ( Sisko’s ship), an Excelsior class, and other that has never been mentioned.
You must have pissed someone off to get posted to an oberth...
So interesting and what a homage.
Nice work. I’d expected to see a few escape pods missing/used. Maybe from the less hollowed out hulls?
i actually like that most ships are not too damaged. not a fan of the whole one borg ship took out like 20+ starships but the enterprise not only defeated it but also while alone survived other multiple encounters. picard/locutus targeting specific damage points just to immobilize the majority of the ships seems more realistic.
That's true. Picard's knowledge in Locutus has helped the Borg hit the ships in the most sensitive places
nice!
only missing the provers of capt. Picard etc. from the 2004 "Borg Documentary"
these are great
No Galaxy class ships were harmed in this video...
Borg aren't evil....they are...Borg.
I THOUGHT THE akira class did not come about during wolf 359 I thought that was a Dominion era ship
That's true, i'm also confused. STO seems to do not like to be canon 🥰🖖
Well made video…
USS Saratoga is missing
There is no wreck of USS Saratoga 🫡🖖
If you rewatch the emissary (DS9 very first episode) the Saratoga was completely destroyed, along with several other vessels. if I remember correctly there was only a handful of vessels from the original 40 starships that were left behind as wrecks, the majority of the star fleet ships were completely and utterly destroyed. I think the official cannon said there were even several Klingon wrecks at wolf 359 though they were not officially shown or mentioned, Locutus was an absolute beast during this battle.
@@stodemorecordingsThere was. That's the ship where Cisco was first officer. Jennifer Cisco also died there during Wolf 359.
@@batfleckforever3594 Even not. That ship was completely destroyed due to a warpcore breach 🥰🖖
@@stodemorecordings Ah, I see
The Tolstoy is a Rigel class ship not a centaur class also there was no centaur class at the battle of wolf 359
Yes, that's why this is a non-canon marked video, with canon ships exposed at the end of the vid 🥰🖖
Poor battle plan by having ships attacking in groups that let the Borg destroy them wholesale
Then in First Contact to see the lesson was learned and the ships were doing a swarm attack not giving the Borg a large group of targets to destroy
USS Soval at least from that view look like she was salvageable
Wait, there was a remote controlled Oberth-class ship at Wolf 359? Is that beta-cannon or from a book or something? Sounds cool! 😎☮
EDIT: Good work, btw! 🖖
The Melbourne would have been Riker's ship if he had accepted the promotion.
The Nebula Melbourne, yes 🥰🖖
They sent Oberths into battle against the Borg! How Effed is that!
It was remote controlled without any crew. This ship was equipped with a large antimatter bomb to collide with the cube, but i think she was destroyed before that 🥰🖖
@@stodemorecordings what Tricobalt weapons weren't available?
@@davidpickens8800 Nope, they were only theoretical in databases. Years later they were built 🥰🖖
Nice! I think the USS Ibn Sines is a Parliament Class. It looks like one. 4:27
And then someone phasers graffiti on it saying, "I'm Hot For Locutus!!!!"
🤣🖖
Not sure how I got here, I like this video but I'm a big star treak noob. This is a space station memorial to a big battle, where they keep the destroyed ships docked as monuments?
That's correct. The battle of Wolf359 was the biggest defeat federation was faced since 200 years. 39 ships lost or destroyed, more than 11000 people died. Only the Enterprise-D was able to defeat the Borg in orbit of Earth just in time.
The battle of Wolf359 will never be forgotten 🫡🖖
@@stodemorecordings well now i got to read this book
That'll all buff out.............
Very cool video but so many canon mistakes, I don't know where to begin!
I am miss the USS SARATOGA, NCC 31911,Commander Siskos Ship.
She was completely destroyed
@@stodemorecordings Oh yes,i remember, seen in DS9.Warp Core break....Thank you very much. 🙏
Excellent video of Wolf 359.
I love the idea of a memorial but I refuse to believe even Starfleet would waste the resources these sadly left behind. One ship? Sure maybe even small station like Pearl Harbor but damn near 20 whole ships? No
Where are you getting all your info from, did you not check Memory Alpha or Ex Astris Scientia
Starfleet needs to create a starship USS Wolf in honor of those that fought there
USS Wolf, NCC 369 🥰🖖
Defiant class - @@stodemorecordings
USS Ahwahnee was not damaged beyond repair, she was part of the 23 ships in TNG "Redemption" set a year later
Of course most if not all the lifeboats are still in place. How can you fight, evasive action, and abandon ship all at the same time?
Awesome tribute. I didn't see Siskos ship
His ship was blown up bits.
Guess it took a lot of time gathering all the tiny fragments from all over the sector to rebuild some of those ships that were just about disintegrated.
Let the hate begin.
Were the Borg using mud as their primary weapons?
I couldn't help but notice at the end where the list of "canon" ships that fought at Wolf359. There are 2 ships with the same name, same registry but different class. The USS Melbourne. Is that a typo? Or were there 2 different ships?
That is correct. There were two Melbourne vessels. One Excelsior, one Nebula, but both had the same registry. memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/USS_Melbourne_(Nebula_class) you can read it hiere under "Apocrypha" 🥰🖖
@@stodemorecordings Ahh. I was only aware of what looks to be Nebula class version of the USS Melbourne. Thanks for the clarification.
Why did you not include Oberth class USS Bonestell
So where was the uss Saratoga and the galaxy class that was at wolf 359?
can you make a video of a constellation class ship (stargazer style) docking in the mushroom space station please that would be epic!
Do you mean, she has to fly into the Station? 🥰🖖
Do you think any were refurbished or parts recycled to be used in other ships needed in the Dominion War ?
I don't know. I guess there is no memorial station canonly, but we don't know that 🥰🖖
4:38 An Akira class named Kaneda. Hmm...wonder what that's a nod to? 🙄
Can anyone tell me where the DEFLECTOR is on the MIRANDA CLASS ..? Thanks-!
D.A.
Good question. Even the creators don't know the answer 🖖
Pretty sure that in canon, the Akira class did not exist at the time of Wolf 359. It was among several classes of ships that were designed in response to the Borg threat.
That's why i marked it as non-canon
@2:48 The USS Garrett is a Georgiou-class Battlecruiser, not a Centaur
Many of the ships had warp nacelles blown off, why do all these ships show fully intact warp nacelles
Can you imagine being assigned to the Republic? 100-year-old Constitution class ship…. Ouch
Yeah. I saw a Connie Wreck nearby the Enterprise when she arrived at Wolf359
Pretty Good. But you Missed the Saratoga (Miranda Class)
Saratoga was completely destroyed. No salvageable wreckage
The ships were much more damaged and destroyed !
It's an online game 🥰🖖
The USS Ahwahnee was a Cheyenne class. the USS Auriga was a galaxy class ship and was Admiral Hanson's flagship. And I hate to be picky but The Melbourne Excelsior had 2/3 of the saucer section blown off and then was basically run over by the borg cube (off screen DS9 pilot: Emissary) so there shouldn't be a hulk left of her.
This Video isn't canon, because i made it with StarTrekOnline 🥰🖖 That's why my name is STO Demorec
@@stodemorecordings just saying.
We don't know for certain it was a Constitution class, but let's assume it was
That unknown ship is a Narendra class
Thank you Tom, i didn't know that 🥰🖖
Looks like a Coparts lot.
I actually can't see that the type of memorial there would happen. The resources just in the material are too valuable to waste. One ship, yes, I can see it. Even one from each class. Of course, the station there could be made up from some of the other ships, but the rest would have been recycled into other ships of the line in a practical reality. (But that is just the Engineer in me.)
Agreed. But i think they wanted to remember to the darkest day in history, we don't know 😊🖖
