In Exercise 13, you will learn how to model a 'Honeycomb Vase Design'' by using surfacing and feature commands in Solidworks. The fade ending of the honeycomb pattern makes it more interesting to model.

@@EasyCADSolutions Well, you are VERY MUCH appreciated (speaking for myself, at the very least). Your methods are definitely what we call Thinking Outside The Box.
I could have made a shape very similar to this on my own, but I definitely would have done it differently, and it would no doubt NOT have come out as perfectly, and would have probably needed many more moves, and would have been a much more clumsy affair, all told. Your videos are an education on the finer points of SolidWorks functions and tools, for those who want to really be able to master them. Please keep up the good work!

Can i ask if you calculated the dimensions for the polygons before you did the sketch? If you did, what method did you use to perfectly pattern it till it fills exactly after circular patterning?

Is there a way make this geometry in a less complicated way?

Actually, This way is the least complicated way, I think.
But some other 3d modelling software like grasshopper, 3ds max etc will do it easily.

Open the new part file and Just follow all steps in the exact manner as i shown in the video
You will surely get the uniform honeycomb pattern

You could’ve made the vase and used emboss cut all the way around
