  • In this video, we hike through the Fiery Furnace here in Arches National Park, Utah. The furnace is itself, a maze of twisting slot canyons shrouded in stone beautifully kept by the National Park Service. There is a limit of 75 people a day who are permitted to enter the furnace to ensure the area is not loved to death. HIGHLY recommended hike, and if you are one of the lucky few who get a permit for it mind your manners while you visit. Thanks for the memories! I used to hike through the Fiery Furnace often with my dad back in the '90s when I was in high school and college. We enjoyed the canyon mazes and feeling like we were discovering places that maybe were never seen by anyone before. Once we made it to the top of the fins just in time for a quick rainstorm that dropped a blanket of hail on us. Good times!

Timeless place. I’m going to have to find a way up top one of those fins. That sounds fun. Glad you liked the video.

Thanks glad you liked it! That one little ledge makes a big difference! We were only in the furnace for a total of about 3 hours. It’s a lot shorter than I initially thought!
