Exactly, everyone will have a loss eventually and Amanda took it like a champ and showed her respect for Julianna. Amanda is a living legend, she’s done unbelievable things in UFC. Her story was like Rocky’s. And I definitely think she has a good chance to make a comeback in the rematch, she just needs to find the eye of the lion again. Having said that because absolutely love Nunes, Julianna Pena did an insane job! I’m still blown away it, the most legendary fight in UFC history. I’m so happy for Julianna, Nunes beat everyone even Cyborg. And Julianna beat Nunes. Very interesting though that Valentina has beaten Julianna. To me what that means is, to me. That it’s very close at the top. That it could go either way with these insane fighters depending on the day. But in this fight, Julianna simply did better, she was in control. Insane achievement. Julianna beat the best ever. Amanda Nunes will forever be my all time favorite fighter though 💙 people gave her so much hate, people put her down so much yet she proved to the world that she’s an absolute legend and she will always be. But I will not miss a single Julianna Pena match either from now on, what a beast 🙏

Yeah, there was one point that she laughed off JP's kimura attempt because she thought she was stalemating. And JP wasn't playing either. She was trying to yank that arm off just to prove to Amanda that she meant business.
It was just a matter of time before Nunes fought someone slick enough to dodge her punches, tough enough to weather her storm, and calm enough to establish a sound enough gameplan.
Nunes is the GOAT but she almost always defaults to being sloppy and reckless once she gets rattled or tired and Pena took advantage of it.

Nah it was a BIG upset. Prior to this match Nunes has asserted dominance throughout several of her fights. Nunes lost composure when she realized she couldn't drop Pena so easily and Pena seized the opportunity.

Man, Pena's stand up was insane. I always thought of her as more of a grappler, but those straight rights were finding their home every time. Not making excuses, but Nunes seemed off. Maybe it was just because Peña wasn't giving her the space she needed to land those bombs. She wasn't intimidated by Nunes at all. Congrats, Champ! Nunes is still a champ even in defeat. I have grown to like her. She's so humble and optimistic. The reason I couldn't bring myself to like Rousey was her disgusting arrogance. People compare her to Conor, but a lot of his antics were for show. He knows how to sell fights. Rousey was a legit conceited brat with an inflated ego.
