railways is not converting sleeper coaches to 3AC economy coaches just to earn more money
they are also doing it to streamline the train so that the train runs faster. open doors and windows of sleeper coaches causes drag which impacts the train's stability at higher speeds.
also AC means more comfort for the paying passengers
one cannot expect high class amenities without paying for it. motto is, you get what you pay for

Unfortunately Indian railways need to increase ticket prices in passenger trains to be truly profitable. They also need to focus controlling ticketing departments. Most of all cleaning not just trains internally and externally but also major cleaning of tracks at stations and off stations. People needs to be educated. I travelled in train two years ago and I got to Jalandhar train station and believe me I vomited just by looking at the tracks. It’s disgusting 🤮

नागपुर - छिंदवाड़ा सेक्शन को double line करने की माँग काफी लम्बे समय से हो रही है, लेकिन कोई सुनने वाला नहीं है,

Railways have to decentralise decision making. Still running trains have to be decided by railway board. Example railways have a diesel locomotive shed and acres of land in Parel Mumbai one of the prime location. Relocation of the shed and building a new multi storey building will get atleast Rs 1000 crore revenue. There are thousands of such opportunities across the country

Now since lower middle class has shifted towards being middle class a major portion of crowd can afford travel in ac and sleepers.. So railway is operating in its maximum capacity..... But the reality is railway infrastructure updgrade is visible now but still it will take some time....

😂😂. Ranchi division ke sare quarter demolish ho chuke and now apartments are coming up to for the railway employees. Facilities coming up in these gated communities are great with access to shopping mall wider road and more importantly the social environment has changed significantly. Parks, railway club, marriage hall sab ban raha hai railway ki zammen par. So i am happy ki railways itna kuch der se hi sahi kar rahi haj
