  • In this Building a House From Start to Finish Episode we excavate the land and get it ready for the new house build. Then we pour the foundation of the home and pour the basement walls with cement. This simple home design is a 2800 square foot ranch style, mountain home. You can find the process and costs of pouring the foundation in this video. Follow us along as we build our house in the woods and attempt to show how to build a house from scratch. We will be sharing all the costs of building our custom home.

Hi Guys, just subscribed to your channel. I'm from Australia & have built 3 houses over the years. This is so different from what we do here. Never seen panels erected & concrete poured for walls - so interesting!! Good luck with the rest of the build - i will be watching every single video!!

Hahah a heated driveway would be amazing bc that thing is going to be horrible in the winter. I got my closet baby!!

Ask the form guys why they didn’t use a key way in the footing ? A key way prevents water from getting under the wall . Right now your walls just sit on the footing and water under pressure can go under the wall and I to your cellar.

Yes we did GC the whole project with the help of Lisa's dad!

Great job. I'm in phase 1 of my build. Got the architect drawings, a list of contractors, soil test done, land cleared but I'm a bit nervous to start. You two just got me motivated.

@@FarisandLisa Thanks Here in Sweden we have winter 3 month now. Different techniques to build houses here and there. So why its more interesting for me.
Here it more concrete plate. So the entire foundation is concrete. Then often wooden walls (above ground). so much wood in the houses.

I didn't see the concrete guys vibrate the entire concrete wall🧱s at all.
