While being raised as a baptist, she was introduced to Buddhism by a friend in Los Angeles back in 1973. Tina credits the daily practice of chanting for turning her into an even stronger and wiser woman.

I know she was happy and not afraid of death. I just need to embrace all of the heartache inside of me. Her passing has hit me so hard. One minute I'm OK the next sobbing. I suppose she'd say to embrace the tears and let it process. She was just more than a celebrity to me. All life is beautiful but she had something special that I've never experienced ever. I hope your transition into the next life is smooth and as beautiful as your soul sweet lady ❤

Me too..I started practising Nichiren buddhism in 1988 after I had read an article in a magazine where she described that she had tried the practice and that it worked. I gave up chanting after 28 years. As Tina claims one has to find their own practice.

C'est la femme, l'artiste qui malgré les épreuves de la vie, de sa vie est toujours restée aussi belle. Une belle personne et une belle âme.
Que ce soit dans ses choix artistique de la soûl à la pop (we don't need heroe). Peut-être que sa vie n'a pas très bien commencé et malgré toutes les tempêtes, elle a su avec un charisme exceptionnel toujours réunir par la chanson énormément de personnes. Elle est simple et vraie et ce petit reportage ne m'étonne pas d'elle. Elle est unique et bienveillante. Sa pêche naturelle lors de tous ses concerts prédestinait à ce qu'elle est devenue aujourd'hui. Une belle femme respectée, humble et sincère. Tina tu es "la star" qui restera dans les annales. Pourtant je pense que tu ne le souhaites pas forcément. Ta gentillesse, ta dévotion envers ton public, tes choix et convictions c'est comme si déjà tu les avais depuis le début. Tina !: 50th Anniversary Tour came to Europe in 2008/2009, including the Netherlands, in the Gelredome. Or rather, "Thunderdome Of Arnhem".
A mega party that I was able to experience, a fantastic show to still have about it. And now also "Tina, the Tin Turner Musical" which will start in November 2020. I have a ticket for that in my pocket.
Despite your age, I hope to see you perform one more time, even if it is for a short time. That would be magnificent, along with a duet with no less than Celine Dion, the duet with the world hit "Simply the best".
