This is a onboard lap with Michael Schumacher in the Mild Seven Benetton Ford B194, the lucky car and same time controversial, in Adelaide track. Ford improved the pistons caliber in their new V8 engine from their 1993 project which gave to the Benetton car in 1994 session a fast pace and same time a reliable engine in front of the french Renault V10 of Hill and Mansell's car. Also B194 was a true evolution of the Benetton B193 which was a partial active suspension car. From change in regulation Benetton won the competition until Williams introduced new modifications to their B-spec car. - Sport
Why can't we get onboard camera angles like that anymore? This was amazing, and captured the speed of a young Schumacher on the limit so well.
The view at 0:08 reminds me so much of Grand Prix 2. Awesome game I grew up with.
timeless game, hours and hours of fun
1:24 insane traction through the corner and back onto a straight line
He was sliding.....
At 0:42 it's too much right foot vs. too little traction!
He is powersliding af the very exit of the corner, and you can hear the revs going way up... only one way that happen: wheelspin!
TC?...nah!
Anti-Schumacher agenda fuelled haters in the mud.
I know this is old and I’m not saying he had TC, but at this point it’s the last race of the season the investigation into the use of electronics had already been done. It found the code still in the ECU for launch control. My point is if he was using electronic aids it was in the first half of the season.
@@forsakenoutcast He has wheelspin at the start of a couple GPs, including the very first one in Brazil. That's not possible with launch control. More than likely the launch control code was just peripheral left over from the hastened development in '93 to catch up to Williams, only to be sacked and abandoned once the new regulations for '94 were announced. This isn't as unlikely as people seem to think and happens all the time in projects.
@@forsakenoutcast They found the code because it was in the 1993 and they decided it was easier to keep it on the car then remove it and risk a technical glitch
Thats not traction control. Thats just talent.
Schumacher and Benetton are like Marc Márquez and Honda
Schumi Dick Vigarist!
Lol sure
What did the commentator say about down force? Also, not the unique nose cone on this car. This, in my understanding, was the beginning of a new revolution in Formula One regarding the airflow over a car and the underbody. Sure, I acknowledge that Schumacher was great, but don't totally dismiss the entire team and engineers that made this car what it is in history.
Its talent..and traction control
When his Mercedes collects told that Schumacher.had the spin controll on his B-194 (like Senna), make me smile ... This guy driving like a god that's rhe truth !
all these cars just look so dangerous when you look back at them..
one small mistake and your life is over, TC or no TC the way these cars were driven so hard and so consistently is just impressive.
After 1995 the FIA modified the rules permanently to the more or less harmless and extremely ugly cars of era Hamilton.
Schumacher enjoying the great street circuit that is Adelaide.
The TC is a fake by Ayrton and nothing else. In this video is very clear how is Michael to takes under control the continuos slides. Anyway something there was on Benetton and called TFD (too fast driver).
I think in that time the TC was removed as it was founded by FIA.
A once great track. A short version was used for Touring Cars for many year. That race has now been moved tYou a few squirts & wiggles track out of Adelaide .
1. Michael was a very talented driver
2.That was the last race of the season ... obviously after all acusations, investigations , etc he was not using any eletronic aids on this race. But on early season yes, he was using a type of TC (black box with software on engine) , launch control, no refueling system filter and another "tricks"
yes schumacher had many tricks.he was better than senna and senna couldnt handle it.he thought that with prost, mansell, piquet out he would win easily his 4th title while driving the williams the best car in the grid.
@GTSpeedster Even with traction control you still have to counter steer a bit no matter what.TC isn't some magical auto correction thing that gets rid of inertia, there's still an engine in the back mind you,and it ain't going where the rest of the car is going. The fact that Benetton was running TC isn't the biggest cock up of that year(or decade for that matter),it really wasn't THAT big of a deal at all,it blew over rather nicely.
Yeah a lot of people seem to think traction control is also stability control
Was that a turbo whine i was hearing out of a Nat aspirated V8? Oooooo man this car was awesome
Cosworth V8 singing
Shumacher piloto muito rapido
Is this a sound of a traction control system?
trezoitao38 the way to tell if a car is using traction control is the sound of the engine under acceleration. If the engine sounds like it is misfiring under acceleration, listen to F1 on board videos from 2001-2007 for example to hear what I mean, then it is using that system...
No check at 0:40.
@@SiVlog1989 Also F1 videos from 1993... It's a similar grinding sound from the ignition cut I believe...
It's the bumps in the circuit you idiots. How light do you think the flywheel is on this car?
Who were the commentators on this broadcast?
Traction Control was a Myth, a polical move from the other Teamprincipals.
partikelsmusic traction control isn’t in F1
@@samsaliba1532 I'm guessing you were born yesterday
If Senna suspected that Benetton was using traction control, they probably were, at least earlier in the season.
@@jstoli996c4s I'm absolutely certain the b194 had traction control. As did a few other cars like Ferrari.
Listen to the sound on corner exits. The engine is stuttering. Sounds like tc
@@FLMKane He's sliding around quite a bit when he gets on the power out of the corners, so I doubt he was using traction. Benetton were never proven guilty, or found to have used a TC system. However, Benetton were proven guilty, and fined I believe, for using some sort of Launch Control system at the Pacific and San Marin Grand Prix in 1994, which was part of the whole "Option 13" controversy.

that was a good looking car, btw does anybody know name of commentator?(the older guy)
John Watson.
he does a lot of countersteerin out of the corner. The TC(if one is there) must be awful.
They also look nicer. A rear tyre just has to be wider than a front tire. I just can't stand today's tyre proportions
TC intervention is variable dongnuts
So he did not use traction control for every Grands Prix?
No, they got found out halfway through the season.
Senna probably heard something different which confused him... Well, at least here, I hear no traction control at all, completely normal engine sound.
so why verstappen his team mate was positive and years later still saying that shumi was cheating. Maybe he was using during races, and qualifying setions he just turn that off. Briatore was a big cheater. we all know what he did with alonso and piqueet jr.
It's a very bumpy street circuit by today's standards you spastic. Do you know anything?
From the start of 94 season Senna said that Benetton number 5 was illegal and he was right. When you mix Schumacher + Briatore = cheater.
yeaah, and wiliams was legal...Best car of 92,93,94,95,96,97 was clearly Wiliams... Schumacher was pure talent, he had only 01,02,03 best car... other years he maneged to fight for the title with with average car. If you dont see this, you are blind or just typical Senna fan...
MANSELL was faster!
There is TC...
Cheater
Fuck off.
One word defines Schumacher --> CHEATER
C'mon stop crying...
