We would like to inform you that this model does not have a splatter shield. Shortly after product launch, it was determined that the splatter guard had no effect on performance (either in terms of cooking or smoke) and was therefore removed from the design. The artwork on the box was updated accordingly to remove the splatter guard as well.

So, splatter shield or not - grease gets on the back, the fan and the guard. How do you clean that? There seems to be no way to reach it from back of the oven or, parts to remove to clean it appropriately. It's incredibly tough to clean as is.

Is it just me? Why is the music so loud?
I got distracted by the background music. Too loud
I bought mine today from Bed, Bath and Beyond and notice it did not come with a splatter guard on the fan like most of them do. There are not even brackets to hold a guard in place. That concerns me because I want to protect the fan. I won’t use the oven until I’ve spoken to Ninja. I plan to call Ninja to see if they can exchange ovens with me assuring that I get one with a splatter guard.

I air fried chicken wings, I marinated them in 30-Minute Steakhouse Marinade for like 2 hours, I did 10 whole wings and I let them touch each other. I didn't have any problem, I cooked the chicken in 15 minute intervals at 390 for 3 times checking them then start again, then the last 5 minutes I lowered the temp to 350, they sure produce a lot of grease

Hi! Yes, when using this oven, provide adequate space (at least 1 inch above and on all sides) for air circulation.
I had to get a replacement for the DT201 I purchased from Kohl's. The first unit had the fan shield but unfortunately the second unit does not. I prefer the shield because food can easily stick to the fan. Is there anyway to tell whether the oven has the shield before purchase? There's no mention or picture of it on either box.
I just bought mine today from Bed, Bath and Beyond and it doesn’t have the shield either. That’s concerning to me. I see so many of them WITH the splatter guard/shield. Just got mine yesterday and was trying to reheat in it~ Mine doesn't have the reheat option...what gives? Do I need to return it? Also when I pushed the light button, it didn't always come on.

Do you know when additional assessor is, like an additional air fryer basket will be available? I can’t find any. If you want to air fry both a tray of chicken and a tray of fries, you need two air fry baskets. Thanks in advance for your help with this.

We purchased ours from Target. It's a beautiful-looking piece of equipment and I'm sure we'll probably get to like it once the "trial and error" period is over; however, the material included with this oven is practically useless! I guess (being a senior and "old school") I thought the "cook book instructions" would list foods and tell you what function to use; for example: Steak: Use Air Roast at xxx degrees; Meatloaf: Use Bake at xxx degrees; Corned Beef: Use Whole Roast at xxx degrees, and so forth and so on. Looking up on the Internet how to cook certain foods with this model is difficult because there aren't many instructions for this model...mostly for the Foodi that looks like a pressure cooker. Also, I ordered a beginner's book, which I thought was for this product; however, it was for the Foodi XL Pro pressure cooker type, so I returned it. Aren't there ANY HOW TO BOOKS with step-by-step instructions for this XL 10-in-one Pro Air Fryer? I should have known we'd have trouble after I saw on the back of the book that the manufacturer is Ninja/Shark because I have a Shark vacuum that I positively, absolutely despise and have been looking to replace it. Ninja has all these videos and books on cooking in their round pressure cooker type models but I can't find any more info on this model. Have to admit, it does a nice job on bagels and toast!

I really was looking for an Instruction Book for the Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air OVEN, which would list all foods, i.e., Chicken: Chicken wings, chicken breasts, etc.; Beef: Hamburgers, meatloaf, meatballs, etc.; Pork: Pork chops, pork tenderloin, pork cutlets, pork spareribs, etc.....which would list the function to use, i.e.: Hamburgers: Air Roast at 350 for 30 minutes OR Bake at 350 for 45 minutes OR Broil at 450 for 20 minutes, etc., etc., etc. We have our own recipes for foods, so that's not what we need...we need an instruction book listing the functions to use for foods (might be 2 or 3 functions for the same food), the temp and the time. The book by Robin Brickner is excellent, however it doesn't list all foods. I didn't realize that most of the cook/instruction books are for Air FRYERS, similar to a pressure cooker size and there are very few books for the Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air OVEN, which is similar to a toaster oven. I guess "trial and error" for now will be the best for us, although we did cook chicken breasts in it and they were extremely moist. Did a meatloaf, which splattered grease on the inside and after waiting until the unit cooled before cleaning it, can't get the grease stains off the area around the fan, the fan or the heating elements. Any suggestions?
Use warm, soapy water and a soft cloth to wash the oven’s interior and glass door, DO NOT use abrasive cleaners, scrubbing brushes, or chemical cleaners, as they will damage the oven. CAUTION:NEVER put the main unit in the dishwasher or immerse it in water or any other liquid.

On the DT251 model, is this supposed to have a splatter shield? I see some DT251s online that do have a shield on this model with the thermometer. This video does not and my unit does not. Which version of the DT251 is newer, the one with or without the shield?

How can I change from Fahrenheit to Celsius?
Hello Héctor, you would hold the Temp/Shade plus (+) and minus (-) buttons for 5 seconds until it beeps and it will change the temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
Question, I know Ninja recommends putting pizza straight on the rack, but can you use a pizza screen, and how does it affect the cooking?

@@NinjaKitchenUS, with all do respect, do you even know what a Pizza screen is? Pizza shops have used pizza screens for generations. You put a pizza on the screen before you put it in the oven, it cooks the bottom of the pizza better.
We understand what a pizza screen is; however, it is not recommended to use non Ninja Oven accessories in the oven.

This would have been great without the music. Or at least lower the volume.
Got ours at Costco and we have been extremely disappointed in it. Our old air fryer was far superior in every way. From faster cooking to 1000 times easier cleanup. We are going to try a few more things in it, and then it becomes a heavy paperweight. Hate to donate it to somebody else and give them the headache of this piece of junk.

How do you change the levels?

I have seen quite a few reviews stating that the lettering rubs off the buttons within a few months. Most of these reviews are from customers who purchased their Ninja Pro early/mid last year. Could you tell me if that has been remedied/addressed yet?

Dont buy this unless you want to spend lots of time cleaning. Had mine a year and the baked on grease is unreal. Why not use enamel for the interior, Ninja?!!
