It's sad that someone as talented as Taylor is being reduced to "a female version of..." or the characters she played when she was literally a kid. She is bringing something to rock that has been missing from modern music for a while. Her vocals and stage presence are on point.
I think though be defined as such is what defines, well defined her music. More so in there very early demos like waiting for a friend, and heart.

Here's a strange compliment Taylor and the crew, when i watch this the only word that comes to my mind is RAW, the only person i could possibly think of who had that style was Joplin. nobody else had that live vocal sense of being incredibly raw. like you could bust it out anytime anywhere and it has a sense of being extremely real, where as the exact same songs on a studio album are exceptionally cleaner and sound obviously different. But my point is the live stuff is so different to the studio stuff, and the acoustic stuff is so different to the other stuff, your not just covering all bases thats definitely not my point but there performed in such a different style there almost interpreted in such a different way based on how your hearing them, i don't know if thats on purpose, but its damn effective
